That was when it was still availible as well. Newegg probablly had to buy from some reseller and pay a inflated fee because they had to go through a extra person to get some, thus their price goes to balance their increased cost over when it originally came out.

Besides newegg has free shipping so its still about the same as buying it for 30 before from lamestop and paying tax and or shipping.
 
i really want to believe this will drop even more if i hold out a bit longer...good post but i don't think i can bite on this one :x

Or when they screwed up their Father's Day sale.

$34.99 + $5 in fillers, and you got 50% off NSMB (so it was $17.50 + tax) and got one of their annoying $10 coupons.

It may be because alot of us got it for under $30 when it was released. I personally paid only $20 for my new copy at TRU :)
