New TRU clearance as of 4/14

Finally, I have reason to write again as a whole bunch of games are finally going on clearance! Of course, some of these games are only going down $.01, from a .99 to a .98 price point, but this puts them in the 'clearance' category and therefore eligible for the extra '20% off' currently offered on all clearance.... Also, the percentage taken off clearance will be going up over the next couple of weeks, and though I couldn't get an exact timetable I do know future signs will read "Save up to 80% when you take an extra 50% off". Right now they read "Save up to 70% when you take an extra 20% off", so make of that what you will. In any case, I suggest grabbing the games you want ASAP and holding onto them unopened (if you're a really hardcore CAG, anyway) until the dust settles; TRU will definitely honor their prices should clearance go lower over the next few weeks after you buy them.

For the lazy or math challenged, remember:
19.98 - 20% = $16 ; 14.98 - 20% = $12 . By 4/14, if clearance hits 30%...well, even lower prices of course!

They should let you do that, but I just bought two of the titles I bought last week, since they still had them in stock. I'll just take them back with the other receipt and be done with it.
 
Both TRUs that I went to had a sign up announcing this deal. Picked up Call of Duty 3 Wii and Dead Rising for $24.xx after taxes. Might go back and exchange CoD3 for Blazing Angels. Any thoughts? Couldn't really find anything to pick up with Blazing Angels since I already picked up Blue Dragon.

The TRU in Hawthorne, CA has 4 Blue Dragons and about 6 Blazing Angels left.

Its actually a port of the PSone HM: Back to Nature, with the "Girl" version of the game translated into English for the first time.

Not bad for 15 bucks... (considering gamestop has it for 30)

worked just like psunami said. i had tried gurumin for the psp, but that didn't work. the cashier was totally confused about what was going on, but a good sport about ringing stuff up for me.

Earth Defense Force 2017: 15-3=12
NHL 07: 15-10-1=4

Blue Dragon: 20-4=16
Enchanted Arms: 20-10-2=8

Total: $40 (plus local taxes)

(just a fyi, trade in value at gamestop for blue dragon is $10)

edit: went back for blazing angels 2 and splinter cell 4 for $20.

total: 6 games for $60 and tax.

I was pissed when I first saw this thread since I went out of town the day before the new drops and didn't get to check out the TRU in Bakersfield (too bad, too, seems like it would be a gold mine and next to a Kmart as well, doh!), but this buy two get 10 off is very nice. Got Dead Rising which I've been eyeing and Shadowrun for filler, but I've always been interested in and Call of Duty 3 and Blazing Angels 2 for a second promo pair. Also picked up Rumble Roses cause for $4 can you really go wrong. 5 maybe, but 4?

Also, I'd argue that the COD3s and other games that recently dropped to 16.99 are not clearance as the 20% off did not apply to COD3. There was a sign next to them that was crudely typed: Spring Deals 16.99. All five games for a total of 53.99 after tax is not too bad. Now to PA Godfather and find a few more mentioned here.
 
Wow, I was just at TRU and saw they actually had EDF2017 in stock so I picked it up without even knowing about the discounts. Surprise savings are the best. :D Had I known I would have remembered to look for Jeanne d'Arc.
 
I price adjusted the 19.99 xbox 360 clearance games I bought last week.

I had used the $5 off 25 coupon on one of my purchases. This was negated by the buy one game and get $10 off the second one, since I had to do a return/rebuy.

Still $10 off is better than $5 so I had no complaints...
 
I got a price adjustment today and boy did she mess up. It pretty much ended up only costing me about $9/game since I got back over $45 for the six 360 games I bought last week on clearance. Nice.

Went back to the closes TRU for the $10 off deal. Found the last Forza 2 and luckily they still have 4 PS3 Oblivion behind the counter. Total came out $25.64. Oblivion for $7.98 is quite a steal. :lol:
 
This is a great deal, I picked up Stranglehold, Blue Dragon, FEAR, and Blazing Angels 2 for less then $50. Didn't really care for Blazing Angels 2, but FYE awesomely gave $19 for it ($23 in store credit) so I picked up the Cloverfield steelcase.
 
Check post two of the TRU Clearance thread for the current deals and latest price drops from 4/14. Sorry for the mess as I have to stop organizing the list for now, but will finish tonight and will also post it in this thread since this is where the action for the new drops is.

A) There's no multiplayer in Oblivion
B) PS3 / PC cross-platform play did not make it into Unreal Tournament as planned

I own Oblivion on PS3, but haven't played it yet. From what I hear though, its well worth $20.
 
I've never played Oblivion before and I'd love to pick up the GOTY edition. It sounds like there's enough in the standard edition that you could occupy yourself for months even without all the expansions. Of course, there's enough in my backlog right now that I might as well wait for the GOTY to drop a bit.

MotoGP 07 and Stuntman were removed from "clearance" status, 29.99 and 19.99, respectively. Therefore, they no longer qualify for the extra 20% off. I'm sure some others were as well, but that's all I can recall.

Looks like I can stop looking for MotoGP 07 then, especially since the other one I was going to pair it up with (Battlestations) should hit 7.50 at Target soon. For anyone looking for MotoGP 07, it's on clearance at Sears for 20ish and KMart for 20 so you could watch for drops there like I will be.

Is N3 really $20 or less now? They had it marked as $30 at my store, although I didn't know this clearance was going on so I didn't have them ring it up. Man, my shopping list for tomorrow is starting to get huge.

those 2 mark ups took place on 4/21. They were listed in the 4/21 mark up/down thread. There were 3 other games at my store, I will look at the price change reports and find out what they were. I remember they only went up a penny to 19.99.

It was down as low as $13.98 at my store before being marked up to 19.98.

If you have young gamers around (my nephew is 7), Ben10 is a solid brawler game. He put in about 20 hours to finish it and still loads up and plays it. Lots of playable characters and easy combos.
 
Just wondering but aren't games like Valkyrie Prof 2, Jeanne D'ARC, and Pokemon Ranger cheaper used and complete at GS w/ a 25% off coupon and Edge 10%?

If there was a 25% off coupon for those consoles, which there isn't currently.
 
The TRU I went to today had a bonus 20% off any clearance game, plus $10 off any 2nd game you buy. So I think I got a deal of the lifetime today at TRU.

Here's what I got:

Wow, that's less than $50 for all those games! Sweet sweet. That 20% off was awesome..he even applied to the $10 off games. Man that guy was cool.

P.S. This was the TRU in Columbia, MD and they put all their Xbox 360 clearance games in two bins but there was a lot of Blue Dragon's left, I found at least 2 more on the bottom of them and left them at the bottom. Good luck to all.
 
that's an amazing list, and some stealer prices-I am contemplating going to my local TRU (not the ones I got the things at) and have them price adjust for the stuff I bought last week.

Some people, like me, like there games new and sealed. I really hate used games unless everything including the case and booklet it's in really good condition. :cool:

I really just hate there used business really. Trade in value low as hell then they resell at basically full price - $5. Box/booklet and condition not guarantee either.
