Posted over at NeoGAF, word is spreading on the IGN Boards that none other then Matt Casamassina was visiting the IGN Chat rooms. Apparently he told people to keep a watch on IGN Wii tomorrow. They will be showing off a new Wii game, and a new attachment as well. He also made the point of saying that the game is nothing that will floor you, and it is something that’s “expected”.

I wasn’t in the chat, I don’t have any screen proof of the chat, and I don’t know if anyone does. This will stay rumor until IGN posts this info, or we have some screens of the chat as proof.

Some details from the story - “be available for the hotly anticipated launch of Nintendo’s new console.”, players will be able to shake the Wii-mote to and from in order to make Sam Fisher pick locks in the game.

and steering wheel

well hopefully this isnt related to ati's chip
Probably Paper Mario which he let slip in the mailbag yesterday. Apparently it is no longer a Cube game.
I think that comment was blown way out of proportion. I'm not going to buy it till Nintendo says so. He said Paper Mario would be coming to Wii, not Super Paper Mario. So it could be Paper Mario in SSB:B, or even just an obnoxious red herring reffering to PM being on the Virtual Console.
Probably another lame Mario sports game like Mario Cricket or something
Still need mario hockey, mario basketball (not on DS), and mario football...

Mario Cricket would kick. I'm holding out for Mario Fatfucks aka Mario Sumo. I think that could be a lot of fun.

SCDA... now there are the graphics I was hoping to see on Wii games. The game looks great compared to all other Wii games.

The Wheel was expected but I'm getting the feeling that rather than one universal wheel, most companies will put out their own. And most of them will suck.

Ya sPlinter cell graphics look great....I havent played any GC games except one though and I found it kinda fun, I dont need to play those to understand the story do I?

Yawn....

Am I the only one who doesn't care?

I do find it funny that Ubisoft alone has more Wii launch titles than most consoles have games for launch.

Nope, I never cared about Splinter Cell and Splinter Cell Wii won't make me care either.

I haven't played any Splinter Cell since the first (which I found frustrating and not fun), but holy BALLS, those are some NICE graphics! Jesus Christ!

GT Pro looks like ass though.

Though I'm not planning on buying SC for the Wii, I'd have to think that this title being available for the Wii launch is cool beans for Nintendo. They're getting a big boost from Ubi Soft.

I've never got into the Splinter Cell games, and I rarely play racers, but it's more good news for Nintendo.

I had the same thought, but it's because they cel-shaded it. Not what you'd expect, hence takes some retraining of the eyes.

It all depends on how good of a racing experience it is.

nevermind. Wow. that looks lke shit. Not b/c of the cel-shading, but b.c the cel-shading was done poorly,IMO.

After thinking about it, I'll wait till I see it in motion to see how good it looks. Cel-Shaded games usually look much better in motion than in screenshots.

For instance, the first time I saw Tony Hawk's American Sk8land (great game, btw) screenshots, I thought it looked horrible, but when I saw a video, it completely changed my opinion. Another example I can think of off the top of my head is Viewtiful Joe - looks like complete ASS in screenshots, but it's a great looking game (talking bought the GC/PS2 ones)

I hope Ubisoft isn't spreading themselves to thin with so many launch window titles. I'd rather a have a few well-done titles instead of a bunch of duds.

I care, but I don't.

I care in so much as... more games, is always a good thing. More games means more choice. Who knows, maybe one of the two will surprise me.

For right now, the GT Pro doesn't look like it'll appeal to me. Although I do like the peripheral, so maybe it'll be a good pick up once it drops in price.

I don't know if the wheel will be cool to play with or not, but I like the fact that they're including one. Sets a good precedent.

I never played any of the Splinter Cells, so I don't think I'll start now. Looks good though and does sound like a cool game.

I'll probably have to play them both to see if I'd buy them. If either one impresses me hands on, I'll bite. Right now, they're not on my buy list though.

Holy crap Ubisoft is going crazy...

They keep releasing NON stop games. I didn't think they were that big...
I downloaded a demo of Call of Juarez (something) made by Ubisoft, played it... Then the next day another game made by Ubisoft "Dark messiah" (Awsome game btw), then I look at Red Steel then this game, then the new Splinter Cell and it never ends!

I think they are pumping out more games than EA...

I could honestly care less about SCDA coming to the Wii. It's based off the PS2 and GC versions of the game (which have always been inferior), doesn't have online play, and some of the single player is missing from the 360 version. LAME.

It's "I couldn't care less"....

SCDA is looking a lot better than I thought it would on Wii. Though the selling point of "shaking the controller to pick locks" isn't the most incredible idea/bait to throw out there.
