Newbie to CAG have a quick question.

I'm new here, and after spending all that money on games at full price, I feel sheepish that I didn't find this site sooner.

Anyway, I have a question. In one of the threads I was looking at someone posted a way to use Walmart.com to check Wally World B&M stores' inventory. The poster posted links on the way to do it. The poster and the topic was on the Wii. I have been using the search utility and have been unsuccessful. Please help. Thanks.

You just have to be lucky.

Also, any website like BB, CC or Walmart's public online systems are not 100% up-to-date to an individual store's inventory system.

A hot item like the Wii could be in and out of inventory in only a few hours. Since the Wii moves off of the shelf so quickly, it might not even be registered in the online database in time for you to find one, call to get it reserved for you and head on down there to pick it up.

I'm sure people have used the online locators to find systems, but it has more to do with luck than anything. I remember when the PS3 was hot, and the BB system was not up-to-date on when they had PS3s in stock.

Another poster in these forums refreshed the Amazon.com Wii page randomly and ordered a Wii that way.

If you are really desperate, then you can order one of the craptacular bundles from EBGames / Gamestop dot com.
