well.. I think they do anyway.

Let me first say that I bought all the parts for my new computer from them with no hassles and I was greatly satisfied. But, I have had a major issue with buying OEM video cards from them.

The video card that I originally ordered had a minor problem of showing character models slightly jumbled with large spikey pixels coming out of them for some reason. I returned it for a refund and bought another OEM video card. That one was worse. It would show random dots of discoloration on my screen. No matter what I was doing, it would show multi-colored dots all over the screen. So instead of getting another refund, I requested that they repair it. Just came today, so I popped it in. Now it won't work at all. When I turn on my computer, it shows random colors stripped across the screen.

I really think that it could be a problem other than the video card, but each time the problem is different. Does anyone know what might be causing this problem? It seems like it would be the video card, but there is no way I could get 3 bad one's in a row (especially since they repaired the 3rd themselves). Anyway, I will be returning this one and spending the extra money to buy a new video card.

I dunno what to tell ya, I've only purchased a retail card from them and had no problems after I downloaded the latest drivers

Were the cards all actually broken or is it some incompatability with your system? Maybe you should try a different card? In my experience, Newegg is roughly the greatest thing since sliced bread. They're cheap, fast, and will do anything to satisfy a customer.

yea.. everything is working prefectly. The first video card was working fine except for that little problem. But then the other 2 cards that I got were progressively worse. If this brand new one does not work, my MOBO is probably damaged somewhere.

What video card is it?

I would recommend going for retail video cards and processors. OEM's are not nearly as scrutizined.

RMA it again. I'm sorry you had a bad experience, but Newegg has always had great customer service for myself and many others. Give them a call and see what you guys can work out, they're often quite reasonable.

As for the problem, there can be weird, obscure hardware conflicts. I remember I had a similar problem when I built my computer a couple of years ago, and it turned out the problem was my motherboard brand and NIC model of all things, had a weird conflict.

*goes to count Newegg bribe money* j/k

Wierd graphical anomalies you speak of usually mean the card is overheating. Try it with your case open and have afan blowing on it and see if it makes a difference. Are you using the driver CD that came with the video card and motherboard? Then be sure to get the LATEST 4-in-1 Chipset drivers for your motherboard as well as the latest video card drivers at thier respective websites..
Perhaps the problem could be your monitor?
Yea, I thought of that too. I tried my other moniter which is fairly new, and still looked the exact same.

Make sure you have the latest bios and chipset drivers installed for your motherboard. Try an old known working video card to see if its the mobo or the card.

I bought my vc from them also. It had the same problem with the characters jumping on the screen. It usually stops when it gets to the windows xp desktop but sometimes it doesn't stop and i have to restart multi times for it to not happen. I only recently relized that it was the vc. Its to late now to send it back. :(

The slot on the motherboard clean? Or is it dirty?

Take a vaccum and blow DO NOT SUCK the dirt from the area and then gently and firmly reinstall the card. Then make sure the connections on the card and monitor are not bent.

Try it this way and see if that is the problem. It sounds like you got a little something in the agp slot to me.

Newegg rocks, I've never had a problem with them, and the fact that they are continuing to send you new products to fix your problem is making me wonder why you think they suck.

Well, I mainly said they suck in the title to get people to read. In my OP I stated how satisfied I was of their service in the past.

did he get it to work, and was the problem his video card?
