Newegg Daily Deal - Final Fantasy XIII (360) 49.99 + FS
im not so sure if this is a good deal =/, but thanks OP!
Was unsure, I checked gamestop.com still saw they had it up for 59.99, but for me Newegg doesn't charge sales tax. But I just wanted to alert people to it.

I'll just wait until this goes PH or hits the proverbial $19.99 (or lower). FF games are so mass-product nowadays, it's inevitable and this one hasn't really sparked my interest as a must-own.

I bought it for 360 and am loving every minute of it. I'm only 24 hours in and I feel like I've barely put a dent in it. The story is 45-60 hours and to complete all missions is upwards of 120 hours from what I hear.

50 bucks is a good deal especially since it came out less than a month ago.

What PS3 freezing issues? I beat the game, logged in 56 hours, and it didn't freeze on me once.

The game on PS3 has never froze on my wife's 120GIG Slim nor on my 60GIG Fat. Way to go around spreading a false rumor over small, isolated issues.

I googled it and not contained to one model of PS3 so it could just be as random as any game freezing on people. Out of hundreds of thousands that bought the game for PS3 a few small issues are bound to happen, that could be said for any game or product.

I'd still rather take 1 disc over 3 any day.

I guess the 20 different posts I've seen in the past week on 5 different sites were just lies. Obviously it isn't happening to everybody but it's still there.

I'd take 3 over 1 disc if the 3 disc version is superior. In this case, it isn't, but just saying.

oh, gimmie a break. it's statements like these as well as ones about freezing, blah, blah, blah ... get a life.

seriously, all this stuff is such rubbish. okay, the ps3 version looks better -- but it's only going to be noticeable and it's only going to matter to hardcore gamers and nit-picky gamers -- the general public won't (and really shouldn't) care.

i like both the ps3 and the 360 -- they each have their respective pluses and minuses -- but when it comes to cross-platform games, i'm saddened when i see such blind devotion (fanboyism) to one over the other.

listen, it's great that final fantasy xiii is on the 360; more players can play it and hopefully ff's base can grow and square can make more money and thus make more and better ff games for us to play. we should all cheer every time one more franchise goes multi-platform.

competition is good, people. one huge positive from all this cross-platforming? the first party games from both sony and MS have stepped up.

as a wise man once said, the "console war" is a marketing campaign, and it wants to enlist you as an unpaid employee. don't be a sucker.

Finally some one with a great insight, rather than a myopic and stubborn "fanboy" comment. :applause:

I'm half way through Chapter 10 of 13 and I have not experienced any freezing issues whatsoever...

I'm sure NewEgg has FFXIII listed for $49.99 for a while already (at least when I checked a couple days back). I got the PS3 version from Amazon at launch and am still playing it religiously.

i have 60 hrs into the jap version that i got in december, and about 65 hrs into the us version, hasnt froze on me yet.

When I went on my FFXIII marathon it froze on me once during the final chapter. Thankfully I restarted it and the PS3 was fine, gave me quite a scare though.

Quit being an X-bot.

I have it on both and the :ps3: is superior. Also have had ZERO freezing issues on my 60GB.

Selma is obviously the newb from the join date under CAG name, this game game hasn't frozed once on my slim.

Also you don't have to install every disc you play and switch out unlike the 360!

Actually you don't have to install anything on the 360. Nice try. Also I don't see how being a "newb" has anything to do with Final Fantasy XIII.

Brilliant observation though on reading my newbie title you should win an award.
