I can promise you right here, right now, if you place an order for Mario Kart 8 and it is due out next year, your preorder will be cancelled 100%. Newegg always does this. Feel free to try, because there is no harm in that, but do not get your hopes up and have a back up preorder if you can find it somewhere else. Newegg is complete shit with long term preorders. A lot of cags have experienced their cancellations and I think a few have gotten some sort of compensation like $5 e-gift cards, but regardless newegg always cancels.

I've always pre ordered from Newegg, and I've never had any issues with cancellations. Several have been waaaaay in advance as well. It does seem to be an issue for some currently, but I've yet to have it happen once, and I pre order 5-10 items from them a year.

If you have to call I'm sure they can refund you money after its sent. they've done this before for me.
