Kingdom Hearts Dream Drop Distance Mark of Mastery Edition.
The Last Story Day One Edition.
Code of Princess Pre-order Edition.

Those are the last three games I ordered from Newegg. Every single one was damaged during transit because they were shipped in a bubble mailer.

I get that the shipping is free and that they had some awesome discounts... but seriously, this is annoying as hell that I have to go through the exchange process, usually to get another copy shipped in a bubble mailer and also get damaged.

I'm just really peeved about this... they used be some of the best fucking packers. Everything was in a sturdy box and cushioned well, even for free shipping. They're so bad now.

Just need to vent, I guess.

Never had problems with newegg shipping...ever.

My stuff always comes in a box with tons of cushion and is well secured.

Which warehouse are your games coming from? All my orders have either shipped from NJ or CA and I find that the orders that come from NJ are better packaged but that may be due to their proximity to me (I live in Maine).

I'm in PA, I just got a Gran Turismo XL that was off the spindle when it arrived. Thank God Blu's are tougher than a $3 steak!

Yea lately a lot of their games come with crushed game cases. They must do it in the warehouse because I get games from all over in the same envelopes and never have a problem. Only with Newegg.

This year alone, I purchased at least 10 games from newegg.
All of my game orders (normal+preorders,) were shipped in bubble mailers.
Usually not a problem, but yes, the special editions arrived damaged.

  • The Last Story (box slightly crushed, I can live with it)
  • Code of Princess (box heavily crushed.ehh)
I'll ask for a replacement w Code of Princess.

I still think Newegg is doing a better job overall than Amazon though.
Lately, Amazon has been doing a phenomenon job at damaging my books/games.
What is even worse is Amazon suck at following simple instructions.
90% of the time, they ignore my request and send the replacement out in the same exact manner (in a bubble mailer or in a box w no packing materials)

Last Story and KH were from NJ, Code of Princess was from TN.

I'm sure proximity helps... the longer it's in transit, the more abuse it takes (this is the same story with any carrier).

Yeah, Amazon's been sucking too but a lot of items I order on Amazon come from their Chicago or IN warehouses, and because of the short distance, they're rarely damaged. I'm definitely not letting this go... I had to let KH go (since it was sold out, they couldn't replace it).

I hate to say it but GameStop's packing is fucking awesome (though it's rarely free)... it used to suck but I guess they actually listened to all the complaints.

Gamestop is the best packing out there. It's weird, given how much they suck in every other area, but they are spot on with that.

I don't always order games from NewEgg, but when I do, they prefer to come in bubble mailers.

Really though, when I got MGS HD Collection, it came in a slightly thin/flimsy bubble mailer and the case was cracked at the corner, like the package had been dented hard from the outside. The manual and game disc were fine, luckily, but I still have yet to replace the case for it.

Kind of off topic but can anybody recommend a website to order replacement cases from? I've ordered from Newegg once before and the case wasn't in great condition.
