NFL 2K5 Impressions

I actually don't have too many drops other than my first game! In fact, Troy Brown got caught a ball in triple coverage! I did some scrimmage/training and it really helps. In fact, there were no dropped balls for wide open receivers unless I sling it really hard and before the receiver get to their spots.

So my advice to you is to practice and try the training session. Also, don't just rely on the pass, obviously. My passing game has improved as well when I learn to run the ball consistently!
 
Yep, I haven't had TOO many drops, but enough to keep it real. I had a few when they were WIDE open. They seem to drop it more if you throw a bullet pass though, so try to put some touch ont he ball.

Running is great now....up the middle, left, right...anywhere. Follow your blockers!!!!
 
I got it a week ago, it is great!!! I think it will give Maddena run for the money for sure!!! Go Sega!!!
 
Does anyone know how to change your favorite team? I've deleted my profile and it stills shows the team I picked when the game first started. Help!?
 
yeah some of the drop passes in the game aren't real at all....its funny they will drop a lob but catch one over the middle and get crushed. well you can tweak how often drops occur and stuff.. so that is a plus
 
I love this game, but I'm having some weird trouble in Live mode. Has anyone else's game failed to verify its roster? I've gotten this twice on two different gaming sessions, and it wouldn't let me challenge or play online.
 
I got ESPN NFL 2K5 last week at Best Buy for $15, with the Gamers Gift!Card. The game is still sealed, I haven't had the chance to play with my Xbox lately...:(

Go to Features> VIP > Manage > Choose Favorite Team. Easy.

Unless there's some bug that I'm not aware of.
 
This game is top notch! I've played a ton of sports games since the 2600 (I am a sports fanatic), and I must say that this is arguably the best sports console game that I 've ever played.


I have a PS2, and the online play is fantastic! I actually heard that online is better on the PS2 than on the XBOX (more glitches on the Box), so maybe you might want to go with the PS2 version if you have a choice and care about online (other than online, XBOX has a decided edge).


But wow, I am REALLY enjoying this game. My next purchase is NHL 2K5 . . . also for $20!!! Thank EA for their marketing and advertising dominance . . . without this dominance, we wouldn't be receiving the best sports games on the market for only $20. CAG heaven.

I am sure that Madden is also going to be very good, but I have no need to spend $50 on it now, being that I am enjoying 2K5 so much.

I'm also going to buy ESPN NHL 2K5 when it's released, for $14.99 with the Gamers Gift!Card at Best Buy...:D
