Nightmare on elm street 2 different packages is either one better

I think the boxset had the 3D glasses for Part 6 or Part 7. The 3D is nothing special though. I have the boxset and it was great for way back when it was released. However, now there is an Infinifilm of Elm Street 1 and a better version of FvJ (2-disc set). How big of a fan are you? Do you just want the movies or extras?

probally just the movies ... just looking at upgrading... LOL i probally have part 1 - 3 on Beta (did part 4 come out on beta)

Then have all of them on VHS.. now just looking at DVD

got to love rebuying the same Freaking movies

19.98 AMAZON or 18 bucks target this week

Im thinking of just buying the 2 4 packs[/QUOTE]

If I were you, I'd just buy the 2 4 Packs. I was able to get the Nightmare Collection ($34.99 now) for $22.99 around Halloween last year, and also bought the 4 Pack Volume 2 (with Freddy vs. Jason- only reason I bought it) for $5 at Target.

The "special features" don't justify the extra $ in my opinion.

Best solution:

Buy the two 4-packs for $20 (much less shelf space than the box)
Buy the 2-disc infinifilm version of part 1 for $5.81 shipped new (amazon)
Optional: Buy the 2-disc F vs. J for $3.33 shipped new (4th one down) (amazon)

Now that you have all of the movies, you can get the coolest Freddy glove ever made:

all leather and metal, no plastic or junk parts, $39.99 + shipping (amazon)

The box set is great for collectors. It looks good on the shelf :applause:. I got mine last year for $22.99 before Halloween. But if you just want the movies, the 4 packs are your best bet since it includes Freddy vs Jason.:whee:

BTW, the glove is worth it.

I have had that box set for a long time now, longer then I can remember. The bonus disc is really nice. I bought mine when it was still around 100 bucks and think the set was worth it. Only 2 things I don't like is the second movie I thought was crap. Only watched it once when I got the set. However that is nothing against the set itself. The other thing I don't like about this set is to get one of the alt endings to the first movie you have to put in a code and only works on one dvd player. Atleast that is what I was reading all over the internet about this set when I first got it. Me I'd go for the box set but that is just me. I like the extras.

Those multi movie 2 disc things are a rip, they are double sides and come with alot of problems according to alot of people

i would go with the big set, it might be a little more expensive but well worth it.

The multi-movie packs are cheap, but as we all can agree upon being members of this forum, CHEAP is good! :applause:

I'll definitely agree that the Box set is the more "sexy" of the two, but if you just want the movies and nothing else, then buy the two 4 Movie sets.
