:br: Nightmare On Elm Street Collection (1-7) (Bby) (Blu-ray Disc)

Includes 4 Blu-ray disc and possibly a bonus disc

Price: $59.99
SKU#: 6775568
Release Date: 10/02/12
Link: Best Buy

According to Blu-ray.com the non-exclusive won't include the 5th bonus disc but this is highly likely that will include it.

Disc 1: A Nightmare on Elm Street (same as standalone disc)

Disc 2*: ANOES 2 / ANOES 3

Disc 3*: ANOES 4 / ANOES 5

Disc 4*: Freddy's Dead / New Nightmare

*Double feature discs.

This would be the design of the overseas sets WB released, except, as has been said, without the fifth bonus disc.

McCrutchy #3

EDIT: According to DVDTalk, its in fact Best Buy Exclusive just like Terminator Anthology Boxset. Amazon and WBShop are not selling those.

Found out through my Warner contact that it's a Best Buy exclusive.

I was looking at my DVDs yesterday and wondering when a box set would come out. Woulda been cool if Freddy vs Jason was included. But I'm in for one. Thanks op!

It appears they are selling 2/3 for $9.99. So, if that follows suit, it would be $30 for 2-7 if bought by itself. Then $20 for the first one....cheaper to piece it out, unless the boxset is really cool.

There is a DVD box set of the series, i have it down in storage. I don't recall if it has the Jason crossover in it though

I have the ones with the red covers. The dvd box set was the black ones with, when put all together, has a picture of freddy pieced together from the spines of the dvd's. I was just saying it's ironic that just yesterday i was looking, wondering when they'd make a box set (blu ray's, left that part out). Now lets just hope that they're remastered versions, and not just the same quality as the dvds.

I'm positive the first film (one disc) and the second and third film (one disc) are repackaging of the current blu-rays available. In that case, you can find a review for those blu-rays.

And I'm tempted to buy the box, love the NOES series. However, the unneeded remake was garbage and tainted a good franchise. Remember that New Line Cinema was the house Freddy built, and now that they have the LOTR franchise they have forgot their roots.

I own the original DVD Box set, with the black snap cases, and it only consisted of the main series. Freddy vs. Jason had to be purchased separately.

I've been hoping for a collectors set on Blu-Ray for a long time that would include FvJ, like the latest ANoES DVD collection does, so I'm pretty disappointed that this set is still missing that film. Even more disappointed that they're using the same transfer as the current #2 & #3 disc, which apparently had poor video quality for the third firm. I guess I can understand why they'd do that instead of remastering them again, but it still looks like I'll be sadly passing on this one.
