Ninja Gaiden Hurricane Pack Download is up!

Sweet! I was gonna get up early tomorrow to download it, now I don't have to! Can't wait until it's finished downloading so's I can try it out.

no I havent heard anything, they might package a bonus disc with it to go with the Dead or Alive Ultimate game.
 
I've been playing the HP for a while and I keep getting whooped. Those spider ninjas are hard without counter attacks.
 
Allright I got a question, is this an online only thing, like you can't play it offline after you download it? Or how exactly does this thing work?
 
Ok I just read that you don't have to play this update through the Master Ninja Tournament, so how do you play it? I downloaded it but when I start a new game it's the same one as before.
 
I really need Ninja Gaiden, but I don't want to pay $50. CAG has spoiled me. I also don't want XBL...the only game I have that would use it is Top Spin, which I'm fine just playing with friends. And Halo 2 I'll most likely get, but I'll be more likely to play LAN games than XBL games.
 
yea i would like to get Ninja Gaiden but its 50 dollah so i say nay

i dont have xbox live either
 
If you download this update do you have a choice to play the original and the new updated version? Or do you lose the original and have to delete it from the Xbox to go back?
 
That's what I'd like to know too, I really don't understand how this works, I think you might not be able to play the Hurricane Pack after Aug 29th when the Master Tourney ends, could someone clarify this for us.

Yes, you can still play the original, To play the new version, you choose from the main menu to play the master ninja tournament, to play the original, you just choos new game or load game if you already have a saved game data.

In related news, since it's been a month since I last played this game, I got my ass handed to me hard on the first level of the new version. Sweet god, must remember to block. The new free camera kicks ass, by the way, and the two new costumes are pretty cool too,

You won't be able to compete in the Master Ninja Tourney after the 29th. The Hurricane Pack patches the game itself in single player, offline play as well, which will not cease to be after Aug 29th.

No, I'm pretty sure you'll be able to play the hurrican pack after the 29th when the tourney ends, you just won't be able to upload your results in the tournament. The updated game is on your harddrive forever unless you remove it and therefore, you'll be able to play it whenever.
 
I'm gonna download it tonight. Been waiting for this, even though I haven't been able to beat the normal difficulty yet.
 
Sweet god. I have played through and beaten Ninja Gaiden 3 times and I CANNOT get past the third room on the first level in this new hurricane pack. I don't suck at this game, I've played the hell out of it, but good lord, it is kicking my ass so much. I am suprised how much harder it is. I make it to the room with the Lunar weapon in it and the Black Ninjas with exploding shurikans combined with the White Ninjas destroy me. Wow.

I advise anyone who has not played through it normally, do not even attempt the new hurricane pack, you will be destroyed and lose all interest in this game. Play thorugh the original first, then try the hurricane pack.

Man I cant wait til I get home from work. I beat the crap outta Ninja Gaiden a couple of times. Lets just hope the hurricane pack doesnt damage my pride..
 
Yeah, I pretty much cruised through the game when I first played it, never got frustrated, thought I was pretty good, but after playing all morning and not being able to get past the midway point of the first level, I actually threw my controller in frustration (never happened before on any game, pretty zen like). It's actually great. Like 6 White nijas attacking you, kill one, another drops from the ceiling unexpetedly and wipes out half your health. I must relearn what I have learned.

It's possible can you BURN "The Hurricane Pack" on DVD with your XBOX ??

Holy crap..

I beat thegame on normal without that much trouble. Now, with this HP, I get my ass beat. The first level was pretty hard and I only got the ranking of "Ninja Dog" when I beat it.

I'm working on beating the boss on chapter 2. I didn't buy any elixirs, so I keep dying.
 
What good is extra costumes and enemies if the new version is so hard? I knew I was in trouble when I saw white ninjas were the stock enemy.

Not that I know of, on either case. The best way to go about this is to have a friend with XBL log in through your Xbox, and download the patch for you.
 
Um this is f'n hard. Like everyone here I didn't have too much trouble with the game on normal but shit this is ridiculous. What do you think Vol. 2 will be like? Level one is so hard, I just can't wait to get further into the game.
 
I think its great that Team Ninja is doing this, but I think Ill hold off on getting Ninja Gaiden until the update is on an OXM demo disk.
 
I wish they'd drop the f'ing price on this thing already. Oh well. I can wait longer than they can keep the price at $50.

Question...this seems pretty obvious, but I may as well ask just in case:

When you download the HP, when you start the game does it give you the option of playing the regular game or the Hurricane pack? Or does it change the game "for good" (until you delete the HP anyway) and you can't go back to the original?
 
In order to play the new version, you have to select Master Ninja Tournament. If you start a normal game, you will play the original version.
