CAGiversary!
At bestbuy.com, they are having a sale on the Nintendo 1,019 Memory Card. It's $3 off the normal price bringing it down to $26.99. If you purchase the NCAA Football 2005 strategy guide for $12.74 you get $5 off any accessory priced $19.99 and above which brings the Nintendo 1,019 Memory Card to the price mentioned in the topic line. It's free shipping but this probably only applies to football fans that own a Gamecube which is a minority in the U.S.

That's what I would do. I need to get one of these huge memory cards. I love how Nintendo keeps increasing the size. They could have released this huge one when the GC came out. Well done Nintendo. Making everyone happy again.
You can't use that online.
I'd rather just get it in store. And who needs a strategy guide for this game anyways? You have to buy a $12 guide to save $5 on the memory card. I'd rather just save $5 in store.

You COULD use the GGC but that just brings the price of the Nintendo 1,019 Memory Card to $24.99 as opposed to the $21.99 in this deal. Of course you do have to spend $12.74 on the guide but if you were going to get a guide AND you needed a Nintendo 1,019 Memory Card this is the best deal for you. Some people do not have a Best Buy near them. People keep forgetting that having a close Best Buy is a luxury and they assume that GGC's grow on trees :D.

Short answer: yes.

Well done nintendo? More like its about time nintendo. When the ps2 and xbox(not that you needed it) launched they both had 8 MB mem cards and it took nintendo 2 1/2 yrs to come out with an 8 MB mem card.

I was trying to be sarcastic but I guess I failed.

Or you could pick up a NYKO 1,019 card for $19.99. I 've been using it for a few months now and never had a problem with it. I've been using it for NCAA 04 that I picked up for five bucks at the best buy sale. Good price for a good card.

I'm never sure about 3rd party memory cards. I guess I should give one I try rather than complain about the Memory Card 59 and 251. Either way, I'm glad to see Nintendo released this new, bigger card.

I have heard bad things about MadCatz memory cards, but I have been using a Nyko 64Mb (1000 something blocks) card for over a year with no problem.

$15 @ BB with a GGC.

I would always stick with first party stuff, but the 251 wasn't sufficient.

Oh gosh, Im sorry. I can't belive I missed that, seems so obvious now. I think I accidentally skipped the middle sentence(the one I put in parenthesis) and read it as "I love how Nintendo keeps increasing the size. (They could have released this huge one when the GC came out. )Well done Nintendo. Making everyone happy again"

Stuff like this is more or less common practice in the business world. It's not like Nintendo is the only company that's ever done something like this. That doesn't mean it's right, but it's how things go sometimes.
