Well, my Nintendogs finally came today that was shipped UPS ground with the Magnetix set. Not too bad considering they had an estimated delivery of next Tuesday. Just a warning about the Magnetix set - it comes in a generic brown cardboard box and IS SOAKED IN KEROSENE. I had to throw away all the packing materials and the box everything came in ASAP as my wife is highly allergic to it (she used to work for a clothes importing company and often clothes from places like India would come soaked in it to keep away pests - she breaks out when she touches it).

The kids are playing with the toys themselves now (luckily they were in plastic bags and seem to be free of the smell).

It is also very heavy and they just stuck the magnetix box in there with the DS box - hopefully the DS didn't get battered around too much (no padding of any kind between them and the box was oversized so they would slam around into each other if the package was mishandled in any way). Considering that my UPS delivery guy always THROWS everything onto the porch, I'm looking forward to trying out the DS :D.

gay.... price changed on the animal crossing to 150 dollars and in stock now. Guess I wont be buying it. Than again I was only getting the system to play the new mario bros, so I guess this is a blessing in disguise.

They didn't raise the price. J&R is selling it for $150. Amazon just switched the store to display the price for since Toys R Us is OOS

I placed 2 separate orders when this deal first came out - 2 for the animal crossing bundle and 2 for the nintendogs bundle (3 for my niece and nephews and 1 for me). Even though they came in separate boxes, all 4 of them were double sealed. Basically, it looks like they were all opened and then resealed with a different clear circle sticker. Has this happened to anyone else?

Yup, my Nintendogs bundle came that way. Everything inside looked fine and brand new though...it made me think that maybe they reassembled some of their existing DS systems into bundles, since the sticker that was cut was on the side that you'd slip the game into.

It did freak me out a little though, thinking that maybe I'd gotten a refurb or something.
oh wow..good price..i'm either going to trade mine for mario kart ds or sell it and use the money for mario bros. did u sell the game on ebay?
yup, sold it on eBay

Anyone else getting extremely long ship dates? I told my Father-in-law about this deal and he purchased a AC bundle when there was only like 5 left in stock. Now they are saying that it won't ship until mid June. Could this be right? Anyone else seeing this?

If that's the correct date, I will just be on the lookout for another deal and then he can just cancel this one.

After my first attempt at ordering the Animal Crossing one with it's July ship date. I noticed the Mario Kart one had dropped ordered that one, waited for it to ship and then canceled the other.

yeah, that is what I had as well (well, actually, it was for mid July). Not quite sure how they claimed to have them in stock with such an estimate. Probably it would be best to jump onto another deal if it pops up and cancel this one as soon as that ships (as was done by the above poster)

Yeah now that I think about it he did say July instead of June. I will keep my eye out for a better deal. That's just rediculous to sell something you say is in-stock, then say it will be 2 months!
There may have been 5 in stock at the time, but think about how many people were probably jumping on that deal at that time.
Yes, but other sites (like EB) only let you purchase what they actually have in-stock. Personally, I would rather not have the purchase go through, then have them put the ship date out by 2 months and then possibly have it cancelled due to product non-available.

There is one Mario Kart DS Bundle from an amazon seller listed at $89.99. You had better not hesitate! I just got the same sellers New Animal Crossing Bundle for $73.48 shipped! Even with the DS Lite on it's way, I do not feel cheated...

Wow those are good prices, but they are from some seller named "tfgen88". It say's new seller with no feedback. I tend to stay away from deals that look too good to be true from New Sellers with NO Feedback.

Yeah I got anxious. Oh well, if worse comes to worse I can simply contact my credit card company. Besides, think of all the overly nervous sellers bogged down with the DS bundles trying to minimize their losses.

I hope that it works out for you, but, as hotwls13 mentioned, it looks too good to be true. I have a feeling you will soon be intimately familiar with the ins and outs of Amazon's A-to-z guarantee. http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg/browse/-/537868/pop-up/ref%3Dolp%5Fwa%5F1/103-1521324-0263049

I do understand the suspicions, but I also had these same suspicions on my last two orders:

1.) Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance 2 (PS2) (Sealed) $13.48 Shipped
2.) Final Fantasy VII (PSOne) (GH) (Compete) $13.48 Shipped

So even if I get robbed on this one, I broke even and learned a lesson. I will keep you up to date as the order proceeds.
I am 100% sure there are loads of people who assumed they would be the only people with 100+ DS bundles to move on eBay.
I hope you get it, please let us know when you do. It looks like bundles can be had for around $130 shipped on Ebay, so people are still getting a small profit. $73 just seems like a HUGE difference to what they are selling for on ebay. I have been a member of ebay for a long time and I have seen plenty of people get burned by Unbelievable deals by sellers with little to no feedback. At least the $100 bundles were from Toysrus.

I gave the blue DS I got from Amazon to my kids. It is amazing what a difference the color makes to the screen visibility. Besides being a cool color in and of itself, the dark blue makes the old DS screen *appear* brighter! Who needs a lite!

The kids used to have one of the Teal DS's from the original Nintendogs bundle. I ebayed that for $120+ and the Nintendogs from this bundle for $40+. So the kids got a brand new dark blue DS for minus $40 or so (after all fees, etc). I suppose the -$40 will go towards my (eventual, once they come out with dark blue!) DS Lite purchase.

So far I've had great luck buying and selling DS's (to change colors before and now to upgrade). Right before Christmas I bought 2 Teal Nintendogs bundles when they were readily available at $150. I ebayed both Nintendogs games for $80 - $90 each, then sold my original silver DS for $100. So we turned one old silver DS into 2 new Teal ones for about $40. Now I've sold the kids' one in exchange for a new one, and might sell mine when the Lite comes out (to cover the rest of the $130 price tag). Or I might just save it for some 3-player Mario Kart races. Of course I've given Nintendo wheelbarrows full of cash for the games for these systems, but that's another story :D.

From this morning seconds before it sold out at TRU.com.

Well the order was cancelled on Amazon's behalf. Miraculously the seller has vanished, as has the inexpensive DS bundles. It's definately fishy... I'm not normally the type of person who would give anyone the satisfaction of being correct, but I'm making an exception here to help others. I was tempted to delete my posts, but I will leave them as a refrence of what not to do. I think I'll freeze my card just for precaution as well. Anyways... You were right...

:p
I'm just glad that Amazon caught it and cancelled the orders in time. :applause:
The item was stated as being shipped from California, then after a response to my inquiry from the seller I noticed two seperate addresses listed in China! I called them last night and asked exactly who has access to the credit card information, and all of it is processed via Amazon. Nonetheless, I should have listened.

It is crazy how easy it is for cyber crooks these days. They get hundreds of orders for something they don't even have and usually by the time anyone figures out what's going on they are long gone with a bunch of money.
