It’s easy to pick up but hard to master. Each turn you are shown what the enemies next move will be, the challenge is deciding how to stop their moves. Most of your attacks will knock enemies back and if you do it right their attack will miss or hit their own team. It’s tough but fun, if you like strategy games it’s a no brainer purchase.

Go into the controller settings from the home menu and recalibrate it. It'll have you do a serious of gestures with the stick and will fix it if that is the issue. If it isn't, they will repair or replace it so long as it is still under warranty. I had issues with one and they replaced it after the second issue.

If they do have you return it, they will have you fill out a detailed explanation. Assume they are people that have never played ANY game before or they won't catch the problem. I resent it due to that and they just replaced mine for nothing with free overnight shipping. PM me if you need any further explanation!

Have you tried air duster under the rubber dust shield? Use a small knife/letter opener to gently pull up on the rubber dust shield that's around the analog stick's shaft, insert the spray duster's nozzle under that flap, then spray air duster all up in there while moving the analog stick.

I'd say it's "difficult but fair" in a way that really reminds me of the best-designed games of the 16-bit era. There's nothing in it that's like Celeste-style "ultra-hard platformng challenges," because it's just not that kind of game... but I wouldn't want to play it without a good d-pad. I use Hori's left-JoyCon replacement in portable mode, and 8BitDo's SN30 Pro when docked.

I might finally go in on Armello. The Complete Edition is also on sale $26, and the surprising the DLC is $16. I say surprising because as we’re all well aware, DLC doesn’t usually go on sale on the eShop. Since it all adds up to the same price, maybe I’ll buy the base game for $10, and then see if I feel like buying the DLC while still on sale.

For anyone contemplating Starlink I wouldn't, just get it. I picked up a physical copy at a local gaming store that was complete and have been enjoying the hell out of it. It's really smooth, lots to do and very fun to just fly around. I can see in the long run it getting a little grindy with all of the fetch quests to do but I have really been digging this game. Haven't used the ship physically with the controllers, they're just there as a collectable and there is no need for more because the Star Fox stuff is awesome and the only ship you need.

I highly recommend this game and if you can get the Deluxe edition with all of the content for the price it is now, why not just to add more value and replayability. Very impressed with the game overall.

I havent played a ton online, mostly just against a friend in Canada, but I havent noticed any lag docked or undocked while playing on Wi-Fi. Seems like some switches have issues with online and others dont though.

It's not necessary unless you really want to be competitive and have everything wired including the controllers

Anyone ever got an eshop funds code from Target? It's a 19 digit code, yet every place I see to enter a code either on the Switch itself or the website expects a 16 digit code. I cannot for the life of me figure out how to redeem these funds.

I’d like to know this, too. I bought it physical @ BB when it was $35. Wondering if it’s worth the $5 extra just to get it digitally and trade in the physical copy.

If you want to have all the in game items but keep the Arwing, that’s the cheapest way to go about it. You can beat the game with just the starter pack but the later planets are a lot easier with the different weapon types. Some of the character power ups are pretty cool too.

The Ethernet connection is totally worth it but don't bother with the Hori one at 30 or out of stock prices. Just pick up a U-Green USB 3 to Ethernet adapter on Amazon for about 14-17 bucks. I've been using one since MK8 and Splatoon 2 came out and no longer have any wifi connection issues.

The physical copy of starlink trades for $6.60 at gamestop.
Bestbuy i highly doubt they will take it, no barcode on box.
Amazon will be probably the same.

I bought the physical, now have the full digital game. For $6 i may just say screw it and keep it. Unless i could sell it to someone.. maybe.

Thanks. I'll probably grab the Amazon basics for just under $13. I don't usually have connection issues, but at least I'll know my docked connection is always solid.

Agreed. I’d periodically drop games on Splatoon 2. Almost always at the end of a successful Salmon Run of course.

I’ve never been happy with WiFi for online gaming and hardwire whenever possible. No matter how much I invest in a WiFi system I always have issues. I gave the Switch WiFi a go but ultimately ended up getting the U-Green and have had no issues since.

+1 on the U-Green. It actually has a cord long enough to be plugged into the Switch dock. The others have a shorter USB cord and it prevents you from closing the dock over the wiring.

Yeah, the cord length is an issue so keep that in mind when getting one of these. I had to return the Amazon Basics one (that worked well, but the cord was too short) and get another one. I got the one from Plugable and it works great.

Just make sure you get a USB 3.0 one that is Gigabit. Keep in mind that while some of these have some bad reviews, they are almost entirely from people using them with MacBooks because apparently it is a pain in the ass to get one of these non-Apple Branded ones to work with that (because Apple, of course). People using them for the Switch almost never have problems, they are plug and play.

Thanks for the input everyone. I was able to to get the Amazon Basics USB 3.0 adapter for $9 from warehouse deals. My Switch dock is in the far back of my entertainment center behind my PS4, so even if the back won't close it won't be a big deal for me.

Just to clarify something...

The maker of those usb ethernet adapters, do *not* include a driver for Mac OS.. you must download from their website and do completely non standard BS to get it to work with mac. It's not Apple... it's the company adding Mac after the fact, and from what I see Linux also.

When you have to do 15 steps, including opening Terminal..., you can't blame the OS. It's the ethernet dongle company, not Apple.

I have cheap no name usb ethernet dongles that work plug and play with Mac, the Asix does not. (thats who Amazon contracted with)

On topic though, I don't understand why Nintendo still can't get WiFi to be reliable on their devices. I had to buy a ethernet dongle for the Wii U i picked up (the cheap no name I mentioned) cause the Wifi in the Wii U kept having issues. My Switch is pretty good... but even walking through the house it has dropped before.

My PS4, Xbox, and Vita... never have a problem with WiFi. my PS3 though.. needs to be wired. WiFi was always weak.

Not the cheapest, but at the time when I was shopping for one in the retail stores this was cheaper and I felt would be more reliable.

Got my first adapter for the Wii U because when I moved it to the basement it had trouble connecting to my wireless router. Got an adapter for the Switch last year as well since I was impressed with the performance on the Wii U.

Surprisingly the Wii has no problems connecting via WiFi no matter where it is placed in the house.  Funny how the older tech is more resilient.

They want members to take a slower shipping option to save them a dime, which is fine, but then they offer crap that is of zero use to most, so I just take the 2 day shipping instead.

yeah found out about this to late, tried to buy something but the credit wasnt coming up, checked around and at some point they changed it to only work on certain ebook/videos only, worthless now to even use

I started doing this as well, except when I order items that have been dropping steadily in price, then I will take the delayed shipping and cancel and reorder if it drops far enough.

Took a week but I talked myself into buying Starlink deluxe.
