Almost all of these preorder price drops on Amazon is because they are price matching Walmart. I still have GCU so still do all my preorders through BB, but if I didn't I would go with Walmart over Amazon, if only to support the retailer actually starting the sale. If Walmart doesn't see any value in preorder game deals then they would stop offering them and sure enough Amazon wouldn't either. I know other things factor into where to buy as well, such as store credit and gift cards, or the fact that Gamestop sells "new" titles as opened (so I would rather go with an Amazon price match to Gamestop over Gamestop any day).

 
I just didn't see Walmart dropping the price on pre-orders, and Amazon is picky on what games they are PM'ing also. I've noticed Walmart is having a lot of their new releases listed at $49.94 in the past few months, but not posting that price until right near launch. 

Walmart is becoming the cheapest place to buy games... weird world. (Without memberships like GCU of course)

A joycon (left green) that is only sold in Japan and not available in the US - unless they are for some reason planning to bring back the limited edition Splatoon Switch bundle... Nintendo of America sure is full of surprises.

 
Amazon, gamestop, UK, Japan. Places to get green joycons left and right.

I don’t follow the colors, I want them grey and grey only so they match the case. Or close enough to it.. but I know you can get “limited” colors all over the place. He could have picked the left up anywhere, have a limited color version or swapped them or whatever. Odds are the changes Nintendo made to his joycons are related to the change Nintendo made to them last year, who knows when they started shipping them or replacing the internals with the new hardware to those that sent them in for repairs etc. and used the old housing (or replaced the housing with same color)
Was just showing that a simple search shows there are two versions of the joycons, launch and a newer version released sometime after April 2018.

I pick Amazon over Walmart simply because I have Prime and get release date shipping. I'm also very familiar with Amazon's website so if I preorder one of these discounted games on a whim and want to cancel it later I easily can without any effort.

The pic shows the green & yellow combo. It's in the Mario Party + Joycon bundle. Green is available many other ways as well.

I meant readily available via retail in US, not imported. Since he claimed these are "new" products rolling out to the US market.

 
I think he meant the new switch model and the joycons, new switch will hit Japan/China first and the us later this month. I saw a Nintendo release yesterday saying China is getting them this week?

My whole point from initial post is more about the actual new switch with the new GPU which he claimed to already have. Joycons are what he started switching his story to instead.

Timespinner is getting a physical release tomorrow with Limited Run Games. I was also waiting for a sale, but I think I am just going to buy the physical copy instead now.

I really wanted to like Mario Tennis but it just ended up being too complicated for what I was looking for. I guess I just want the GameCube version again (Mario golf too!)
 
Went ahead and picked up Layers of Fear and OTTTD since they are both super cheap.

I'm tempted to pick some of the LRG's but none of the games are must own enough to spend the extra amount compared to digital.

Yeah, I know about the physical version, but really trying to reign in my spending. Plus, I've got about $120 in eshop credit right now. Caught a few cards on sale. Spent $116 for $150 credit. Guess I should go ahead and pull the trigger at $20.

I think the only games(in your own region) that haven't been able to be redeemed for points are for physical games that aren't on the eshop. And for those, once they were on the eshop you could. (Penguin Wars and Umihara Kawase Fresh are the examples I know of)

If you're really into 2D fighting games, especially Guilty Gear/BlazBlue/P4 Arena as it's by the same devs you're likely to enjoy it. If you aren't familiar with the characters at all you probably won't get into the story, although a lot of fighting games have nonsensical stories anyway.

 
Good sale on Gurumin, meant to pick that up before and I think it's cheaper now so bonus(was $7.49 last sale iirc). Jumping on it now before I forget, don't browse the 3DS shop as much anymore.

 
I dont think Ive said this enough, MARVEL ultimate alliance 3 is incredible, and i highly recommend ANY Marvel fans or fans of action adventure to pick it up
The team gameplay, the team construction, the abilities/tree buildup, and the entire overarching game are just really really beautifully done

If you like XMen or Wolverine or any of the marvel universe, youre going to FLIP out....i was playing with VENOM, a character many marvel fans have always craved for a good gameplay version of, and hes awesome

If you can get to walmart, its on sale for $49.99 in store only, otherwise just grab it

You wont regret it, the gameplay is SO good and entertaining, and pick up and play, and if anyone is doing online please lmk to team up
 
I keep going back and forth on physical vs digital with no strategy. I ended up trading in games like Dragon Ball Fighterz to "convert" them from physical to digital due to the current eShop sales, but then I picked up physical copies of MUA3 and FE, despite having 3 unused vouchers with no plans for them. Still have about 20 physical games out of a library of 90. Man, I just need to fully commit to one way or the other.
