I honestly really liked Steamworld. The story is decent enough and the characters good if a little tropey at times, but the battle system was awesome. It was fun tuning your deck with cards. The way it worked  is that you need weaker attacks  to build up to strong ones. Also on the hard difficulty the game was a challenge for sure. I was always jugging buffs and debuffs and barely won at least 2 of the boss fights. I give it a strong 8/10 with it being one of my favorite RPGs this year.

I don't feel like I like the genre as much anymore since the stories are just alright, and the games sometimes don't respect your time with grinding and all, but that's a discussion for another day. This one took me about 18 hours to fully 100% complete sans some arena battles.

I love Steamworld games, but honestly, I got a lot more enjoyment out of Slay the Spire than Steamworld Quest. SQ was fun, but after a while, it just felt extremely repetitive for me, especially with that 'marionette' animation. I couldn't bring myself to finish it.

Yep. The battle system in SteamWorld Quest was so good and was the reason I liked it more than Slay the Spire.

Blazing Chrome is very good, I played it via Game Pass. A tad short but it's a great retro throwback and plays really well.

Fair warning, Blazing Chrome is pretty brutal difficulty wise. When I beat it on X1 all the achievements for beating levels after the first were extremely rare so I may not be the only one who thought it was tough. haha

Super One More Jump is definitely a cheap game worth picking up. I've gotten way more than a $1 worth out of it.

Tempted to finally pick up Steam World Dig and maybe Crypt of the Necrodancer based on what everyone says about it.

I haven't played Steamworld, but if you those version of DQ do you need them on the Switch? They look just like the mobile versions(which are the worst looking version imo).

It's definitely challenging, but it has good checkpoints and infinite continues on Easy and Normal. I recommend playing on Easy first, beating it, then beating it on Normal with one of the characters you unlock after beating it the first time. I got about 3/4 of the achievements and had a lot of fun with it.

Got a Switch v2 for $260 a few days ago.  I'm wanting Virtua Racing ($8) and Limbo ($10).  Anybody know if these two games have been cheaper?  Like $5 each.

Virtua Racing was $5.99 a couple weeks ago. I would wait till the next Sega sale. Other then that I would bet it will be on sale during the holidays.

Ok, thanks. After watching Virtua Racing, I hope Sega and other publishers put more of their arcade games on the Switch. I would love to play the Virtua Fighter series, San Francisco Rush, Hydro Thunder and a ton of other arcade games.

Limbo has gone down to $7 once, around November last year. In fact, it looks like a ton of stuff hit their lowest-ever prices then...

And as mentioned, Virtua Racing was $6 not too long ago, and some other Sega Ages titles have gone down to $4. Sega does sales on Mondays here and there, you should be in the lookout for those.

If the Runner series is Choice Provision's Banjo-Kazooie, the new Bubsy game is definitely their Donkey Kong 64.

It ain't horrible, but I'd much rather just play Runner. Wait for a sale on this one.

It's fairly random. Sometimes 12pm Eastern, sometimes 12am Midnight either day, sometimes at a random time. Generally speaking, if I see a sale date ending, I assume I only have until the previous day Midnight to buy it without worry of it being gone when I check the day of the sale end date.

Now that you mention this, it’s worth pointing out that the Japan eShop now displays how much time a sale has left in the Deals tab, down to the minute. I’d assume this would be adopted in other regions shortly.

I think I'll go with the SanDisk 256gb for $55, but I kinda want to go crazy and get the 512gb for $140, lol.

I bought the 512gb on a sale (sub 100 I think, dotd) can’t imagine having a sd smaller than 256 now.

I haven't played Steamworld, but if you those version of DQ do you need them on the Switch? They look just like the mobile versions(which are the worst looking version imo).

TBH because my GBC/GBA/NES are all currently packed away. For storage reasons, I only really keep out the three newer consoles (PS4/XB1/Switch) and one handheld (currently Vita).

Having them all on the Switch is just more convenient, and more comfortable to play than the touchscreen controls.

Downwell on Switch is very good. Really like it a lot and plays well.
