I game the same as you but glad I can dock since I got Astral Chain. Game is so much better on the TV. Glad that the regular switch has that flexibility.

Me personally If the Lite had the same screen size as the normal switch i'd consider buying one. I end up playing most of my games handheld, but I do have it plugged into a mini dock (gutted board from the full dock, not a 3rd party) and plugged into a 27" monitor at my desk a lot of the time now so I can use the pro controller more.

For me, the Lite's screen size and the dock issue are the deal breakers. Joycons directly connected doesn't bother me cause I rarely use them, I have a case on my switch that keeps the connections rigid but still allows me to take them off easily if I want. (various people here have the same/similar case and love it) Naked Switch you can feel the movement between the switch and joycons, I was worried i'd set it down someday and break or bend the connection so I went with the case. You can fine dockable ones also that work with the full standard dock.

I just like having the option to dock *IF* I want. And just remember the older you get.. that larger you will want that screen. If Nintnedo could have made the Lite with the same screen as the full Switch without the bezel and i'd probably have bought one. (as a 2nd system)

BF sales will probably make the Switch v2 come closer to the Lites price tag also.

Yeah, so many squats. I've done over 100 in two days. However, even early on, you can still avoid doing squats as an attack if you really want to, despite the more limited moveset you start with. I think I might even keep it in my repertoire later on, just to push myself a bit more.

I'm really loving Ring Fit Adventure after picking it up and doing a session yesterday. I set my difficulty to intense (one step down from the highest) and after finishing the first area and facing Dragaux for the first time, I was a sweaty mess and honestly for about 5 or 10 minutes I felt like I could puke. There's a casual difficulty too if that sounds like a bit much. The game also calibrates your strength and jogging pace when first started.

As someone who has not really done any exercise in years and lives a fairly sedentary lifestyle... I started on casual and after level 2 I basically wanted to die. I think the first week or two for me is just going to be building up some endurance more than anything.

It's so much fun though.

Yes indeed, Ring Fit is no joke. Just finished the first world and after facing the spandex dragon guy I was wiped out and sweating like a pig. I'm not in the best shape but I do typically run about 3 times per week and do about 5K each run. I felt like this was significantly more challenging than running 5K. Of course, I had just eaten Taco Time about 15 minutes before my work out, so that might have had something to do with it. Still, I was really impressed. It's cold and rainy where I live for the next 5 months so this will be a great alternative to running.

I agree. Completed the first world and my clothes were soaked with sweat. I started getting into martial arts about 6 months ago and the medium challenge level in this game is almost as intense as our class workouts. Hoping that playing this will build my cardio stamina. I like that the game even has some yoga and static stretches for a cool down.

Yes it is. I’ve only played the story mode, but there are mini games and other challenges to do as well. There are over 40 different exercises to do. I’ve only completed the first world in the story and it took about 20-30mins to complete. Set at medium difficulty it estimated that I burned close to 200 calories. You have to lightly jog in place to move through the level and do high steps to climb stairs. Pushing or pulling the ring lets you shoot an air blast to clear obstacles or to vacuum up coins. Shooting down also makes you jump and hover. Battles are turn based and attacks are based on exercises and how accurately you perform them. So far my attacks are just squats, overhead ring press, sitting leg lifts, and a yoga ring lift. To defend you have to tighten your abs and press the ring into them, the harder you can press the ring the less damage you take. They really got creative with this game and I’ve been very impressed. I normally only exercise once or twice a week, so I’m not in shape, and this game has me sweating and breathing hard by the end of a level.

I mentioned yesterday that the first world in Ring Fit was as tough if not tougher than running 5K. Today I just decided to do a run through of all the mini-games and it was also a very good workout (I did a few of them twice). I also tried a few of the exercises where you do as many reps you can in 20 seconds and then did the first level of World 2. After all of that I was a sweaty mess once again. There's no doubt about it--the game works you out. I was looking at metacritic and I thought it was funny that the lowest score says something like "it tries to make you forget you're exercising but is only partially successful." Look, if you forget you're exercising, you're not really exercising. This game lets you know you are getting a workout but it makes it less tedious and it's a great alternative when you're stuck in the house or if you have kids, since they will have fun watching it.

I'm impressed by just how accurate Ring Fit Adventure is with picking up your movements.  You better believe I'm going to squat even lower to get that extra damage for good form.  I also liked that it altered the post-workout stretches based on what attacks I used more often than others.  It's an interesting set up.

As far as the workout experience goes, you're definitely doing actual exercises.  My arms are a little sore today.  I've got 5 moves unlocked at this point and most of them work out different muscles.  The only major complaint I have is the jogging - that can get a little touchy - but the leg lifts for running up stairs or in water definitely need you to raise your legs high.

I'm midway through world 2 and tend to play a minigame or two after finishing.  The game is fun enough to get me to work out my muscles which is something I normally loathe.  Worth it to me.

There's a pretty good variety of exercises and there's even a silent mode for people like you, in an apartment.

Enjoying this a good bit so far. It reminds me of Yonder: The Cloud Catcher Chronicles as an exploration game with some light farming, crafting, and some survival elements to it that is chill and relaxing to play.

I've been watching my son using that Ring Fit, and I can say from the sidelines it looks legit. I can't stand motion controls for almost anything, but my treadmill is current on the fritz, and I'm thinking of using this just to get some cardio in. So for me to even be considering using some shit like this should speak volumes, but I'll more than likely be fixing my treadmill, as this is still a last resort(as I hate motion controls). LOL

EDIT: Seriously, this does look like a good fitness product, especially for those who don't like working out, but likes playing video games. Like anything in life, you'll get out what you put in I'm sure, as the challenge is there if you want it.
