Well now I feel silly for having purchased an SNES Classic.

Pumped for Crystalis, though.  Was seriously considering SNK Collection just for that so glad I never got it.

 
That NES/SNES game list is baller. I'm stoked to try Super Punch-Out and Journey to Silius, and I'm pleasantly surprised to see Star Fox 2 make it in. I thought it might get there eventually.

When the 3DS eShop went live and they started selling virtual console games, I was desperate for them to make Crystalis (though terrified they would release the GBC version instead of the NES version) and even said that I would happily pay $40 or more to play it on the 3DS. I have zero regrets about having gotten the SNK Collection just to play Crystalis on the Switch. That being said, I am glad other Crystalis fans whom held out will get to play it, because it is an awesome game.

Such a good game and totally worth it. I remember being a kid trying to figure that game out man. It was epic. It made me a fan of RPGs.

Every time I see Crystalis mentioned, my mind automatically thinks that it’s Conquest of the Crystal Palace instead (probably because of the Crystal part), and gets sad when it’s not that game. Sigh.

There's a surprising amount of moves that Link has to be used in levels, like the bow with straight and diagonal shots, bombs you can throw or drop, a downward stab with the sword like a butt stomp, and the shield and running stab. The tutorial levels do a good job showing them off and there are a few levels that make good use of it already.

What do you gain from having your NNID linked? I think it lets you use your eshop balance if you buy from a PC but I seem to accumulate gold and silver points just the same.

Linked NNID lets you use your eShop balance on 3DS and Wii U. It has nothing to do with being able to make digital Switch game purchases on Nintendo.com. It's because they moved to this new system when the Switch launched, they used the NNID linkage method to unify the old system used on 3DS and Wii U.

I don't think Rare is a problem there, since the DKC trilogy was released for the Virtual Console and DKC is on the SNES Classic.

So you might show up at Nintendo's door with a bottle of wine and hope for the best.

I believe they can be used so long as games are mapped to use the dpad for movement, along with the other obvious button limitations. It might be able to be used for Link's Awakening? Not sure though.

Great game, though a little too new school for my tastes! It's definitely a fusion of Wonder Boy but with 21st Century "Metroidvania" gameplay, padded out to 20+ hours of playtime to finish, plus way more to 100%.

Litrerally, when we got flooded during that GCU sale, and then everyone started to come to CAG, lurked , stole our shit, and then one guy did that scam last year where he went to the phone stores to verify his ID and got like $5000 in GameStop c/redit from that new app, using $5 promo coupons and then cashing them all out, he shut that deal down within 5 hours, well its been down hill since.....there has been such a lack of effort on almost everyone’s part....and the lurkers, trolls, spammers, and useless BS grew and grew as it became clear to me:

Litrerally, when we got flooded during that GCU sale, and then everyone started to come to CAG, lurked , stole our shit, and then one guy did that scam last year where he went to the phone stores to verify his ID and got like $5000 in GameStop c/redit from that new app, using $5 promo coupons and then cashing them all out, he shut that deal down within 5 hours, well its been down hill since.....there has been such a lack of effort on almost everyone’s part....and the lurkers, trolls, spammers, and useless BS grew and grew as it became clear to me:

Frisky provides the ONLY service, FREE of charge, and with FULL DEDICATION AND CRAFTSMANSHIP FWIW.....so CHeapyD should be thanking Frisky, and I’m sure he should get a christmas bonus from him at the very least.....his “REAL” core, base members are here for Frisky,a Nd only that, and thats the truth!

So I bought one of the $8 eBay auctions for a year of Nintendo online. The auction didn't detail how it works, but I later found out. They're trying to add you to a family account. I ended up getting my money back from the seller. Joined Nintendo Online with my eShop points this morning.

 
Came here to say I'm still enjoying the hell out of Monster Boy, definitely worth the sale price.

Also, while the post was a little awk, the poster appreciated Frisky like we all do, and it's a little weird to see so many people being so neg and Regina George about it.

Thanks for the head's up on monster boy , completely missed it when it released and didn't play the other titles , enjoying the little bit I have played.

Also, Frisky and Bloomy definitely definitely deserve thanks for what they all do. I know Bloomy isn't on this side , but thank you both

Wow, good to know, I was pondering what to do when I renew my sub in the spring. I'll just buy some discounted eShop currency and renew that way. Thanks for the PSA on the cheap eBay prices.
