Cheese and rice. Does Nintendo's website not tell you how much space the games take up? Does the eshop? I'll log into my Switch soon and see. I went to check out Mario + Rabbids Gold edition on the site to see how many GB's it is and there is no info. I had to google it but I have only gotten the regular version at 2.3 GB. I assume the DLC adds like 1 GB? Anyway, that info should be easy to find right there on the page. I am debating about getting the game. The Gold edition is on sale for $19.99 but not sure I want to spend that much on a game I've never played and that has no multiplayer. Finding a cart of it though is proving expensive.

it´s a great game and with the DLC it has more to enjoy i think if you like strategy games you will not regret having it

I picked up the Gold on sale for $20 and sold my standard cart for $20+ to Gamestop on one of their bonus trade in promos.

(And still have not finished the DLC lol)

Okay well then there is no rush to buy it on this sale for me. I also found out that the Gold edition is simply the standard game cart with the DLC as a digital code. Same crap Fallout 4 GOTY edition pulled. I'm sure other games have done this. I hate that practice. GOTY and Ultimate editions used to always come on the same disc. None of this digital download BS.

Another odd thing was the Call of Duty Legacy edition had both games on disc for Xbox One but the PS4 version had a digital code for Modern Warfare remastered. I never researched why but I got it for One X mainly for this reason.

Anyway, thanks for the info. I will just wait for it to come on sale again and decide then.

Sadly, no. I was excited when it got announced, but as soon as the demo was available I played it and nope. Not worth it. Maybe you can check the demo (it's about 10 mins of gameplay) and see if you dig it.

For any of you guys who have a PS4 and Switch, which do you recommend purchasing non-exclusive arcade archives titles for? It looks like they are never discounted as far as I can tell.

For games where performance isn’t an issue (such as emulated releases like the Arcade Archives series, but also less-demanding indie titles), I almost always grab the Switch version, even if there’s a slight price premium. The allure of having the option for portability is usually too tempting.

So my SD card says there is only 17.7 MB left on my card on both Switch and my laptop. There is no direct way to view what is on your SD card except by going to manage software and then going to every single game and checking the side to see if it shows up in system memory or your SD card. Well, I can only find 2 games that show up on my SD card for a total of 1.7 GB. Where the heck is the rest of the storage? That's like 6 GB of missing memory. It's an 8GB card and my computer shows it as 8GB so I am pretty clueless right now. I checked out the contents of the card on my comp and it just shows albums and contents with a bunch of folders with numbers and letters.
Nintendo sure doesn't make it easy for you to view the contents on the SD card. Hopefully an update streamlines things and I figure out what happened to 6GBs. There are no videos or screenshots on the card. Does anyone have any ideas?

So my SD card says there is only 17.7 MB left on my card on both Switch and my laptop. There is no direct way to view what is on your SD card except by going to manage software and then going to every single game and checking the side to see if it shows up in system memory or your SD card. Well, I can only find 2 games that show up on my SD card for a total of 1.7 GB. Where the heck is the rest of the storage? That's like 6 GB of missing memory. It's an 8GB card and my computer shows it as 8GB so I am pretty clueless right now. I checked out the contents of the card on my comp and it just shows albums and contents with a bunch of folders with numbers and letters.

Nothing I can think of could take up so much space like that.

It sounds like you took this into account, but are you sure you don’t have a bunch of update data filling up the card? (since updates/dlc can be stored separately from the game)

This is gonna seem lame but it's so I don't go crazy with buying games I will just be adding to the backlog and probably never be playing for at least a year or 2. Plus, I get 4GB and 8GB cards for free every year so there's that. It also wouldn't matter if my card was bigger anyway since that's still 6GBs missing. I could have a 32GB card and still have only 17MG left with 6GB missing for example.

Where? I have looked at all the manage data and through every place that shows where storage is allocated and I can still only find 1.7 GB on the card. I click on every game to see where it's being stored. Nintendo doesn't have any way for me to DIRECTLY view what's on the SD. It is a major oversight.

Yeah, if you’re not seeing anything out of place in Manage Software then there’s something off.

(Just in case to be clear, what I meant is that under each game in that menu it shows when it was last played and how its data is distributed between the system memory and the SD card)

I've never really gotten into party games, but these two are currently on sale: Goonya Fighter $0.99 and Screencheat Unplugged $2.59.

I mainly want to try them out to play with my gf. We've played a lot of Wii Sports before, but she's only enjoyed a few co-op games on the Switch (Cuphead, Pokemon Let's Go!, Mother Russia Bleeds, Strikers 1945, Splatoon 2 (< had to take turns)).

There's two other games on sale that I'm interested in for myself. Crossing Souls $3.74 and Defenders of Ekron $4.19.

Read some reviews and they all seem to be solid, but they have their flaws. Please let me know if any of you recommend them.

I would cut and paste the Nintendo folder off your SD card onto your PC hard drive somewhere and see how much space frees up on the card. I would suspect space is still being used up and there is something probably wrong with your SD card and you should reformat it and paste the data back to your SD card. Hopefully that fixes the issue.

It’s ~$1.70 if you take a trip to Mexico.

The thing is that I have currency in my US eshop account that prevents me from switching, and I dont want to create a new account to be displayed in the console. Is there another way? As I understand, Mexico does not have redeemable codes, just purchases directly from the eshop.

It's possible to rewrite the hardware reporting sector of an SD card to report more space than what's available. Most cards are made in China, so these counterfeit cards look almost identical to the real thing and can be shipped along with official cards to companies here. Gotten at least 3 counterfeit cards sold directly from Amazon and Walmart over the years.

Put your SD card in your PC and open up Disk Management. You can see if 6GB is really in use or not. You can view files by building the ini using some software here though I doubt you'll take the time to do it. Best advice is to just spend $30 on a 128GB SD card so you don't have to bother with any of this.

I have a 256 gb card and am tired of deleting things off my card haha. Atelier games are huge and I should delete them till i'm ready to play (keeping only the first for now).

I have a 512gb card.. in both my Lite and standard Switch. Still have at least 150gb to go before I need to delete things.

If the Switch's wifi speeds were better I wouldn't worry about it, but they are slower.

The archive for my Summer in Mara stream of the beginning of that game, which is out on Tuesday. It's a nice adventure game with a good bit of farming, island management, boating to other islands, and doing quests from people on those islands to advance the story and get some rewards to help you out.

When I bought my switch I had a spare 16gb that I used, then bought a 64gb.. when I looked at grabbing a 128-256gb to upgrade again, I said screw it the 512 is only 79 so I wouldn't have to upgrade again... or at least put it off a while.

i suggest that you decide this thinking wich controllers fit better your needs for the experience. in economy terms, eshop has the upper hand with the coins system you recover some of what you spent
