Question- I bought a switch on launch, and the Nintendo points were different then
I bought another switch and never got the points because I didn’t redeem them, just tride, and it’s expires..., Zelda bein the oldest game obviousky

Anyway I can request it from Nintendo
I bought two Zelda copies and got no points for them ...
It’s on,y 60 cents but....[CAG lol]
 
In order to feel like I'm allowed to buy myself a Switch, I'm trying to make myself finish the few games I have for the Wii U. I picked Wind Waker back up again today. I stopped playing it (for the 2nd time) in July. I've never finished a Zelda, but I'm going to try to make myself finish this. 

Then, I have to play Pikmin 3, Mario Kart, and that Super Mario game that came bundled with the console. Then I can sell it off and get a Switch. My birthday is in July, and that'd be a nice present to myself.

...But there's two games I kinda want to play which haven't been announced to be moved to Switch -- Fire Emblem Fe Sessions or something, and that Mario-cat game.

Lol, goddammit. I grabbed it when it was posted yesterday, have been testing out Arabian Nights. It's felt great to me, both docked and handheld. Only slowdown under 60fps I've noticed is when I have the camera unlocked while handheld, and lots of stuff is happening on the table. I also played some portrait/TATE while handheld, and that felt like solid 60fps the whole time, since the camera wasn't needing to pan around like in landscape.

I was even going to buy Season 1 today, as I don't own that table pack on Steam, but I guess I'll hold off to find out what's wrong and why they pulled it from the eShop. I wonder if they're going to patch in a way to buy individual tables, instead of requiring full $29.99 Season table packs purchases. That was really stupid of them, since cost of entry is so high.

That's a silly thing to do. You're already able to rebuy half those games on the Switch this year and the other half next year!

Oh? I didn't think Wind Waker, Pikmin 3, Super Mario Bros. U, Super Mario 3D World, or Tokyo Mirage Sessions had been announced for Switch. Am I wrong? The only game I own which I know is on Switch is Mario Kart.

Well Firewatch came out through LRG and they have a good relationship with the developer so a physical Switch edition wouldn't surprise me.

Don't Starve is being released physically for PS4 and XB1 later this month through normal retail (I think 505 Games) so again, a later Switch release wouldn't surprise me.

That said, if the price is low enough I would just go with the digital editions for now, then double dip on the physical when/if they come up.

GoNintendo has been pretty much my only "N" related gaming site for as long as I can remember. There are some other good sites out there, but I always found GN to be a really solid site. I normally try to use one site for each subject matter, so that way I'm not visiting tons of sites a day looking for relevant news.

The guy who runs it is pretty mellow, but there is a pretty strong "Kool-Aid" crowd over there for sure(but that's pretty much all "N" related sites). So if your on that side of the coin, you'll fit right in. If you have any negatives to post, it's probably best left to your inner thoughts, as there isn't much logic and reason to be had with most members, but the news is always solid and very up to date. https://gonintendo.com/

I normally try to use one site for each subject matter, so that way I'm not visiting tons of sites a day looking for relevant news.

The guy who runs it is pretty mellow, but there is a pretty strong "Kool-Aid" crowd over there for sure(but that's pretty much all "N" related sites). So if your on that side of the coin, you'll fit right in. If you have any negatives to post, it's probably best left to your inner thoughts, as there isn't much logic and reason to be had with most members, but the news is always solid and very up to date. https://gonintendo.com/

If you have Wii Shop Channel points left and are considering buying Sega Genesis/Sega Mega Drive Games, remember that each game is $8. However, you can get most of these games on Steam for much less. The games to consider purchasing are Monster World IV, M.U.S.H.A., and Gley Lancer. All three of these games were Japanese exclusive games, and Monster World IV and Gley Lancer have new exclusive English translations only available on the Wii Shop Channel!

I only purchased Monster World IV on the USA Wii Shop Channel. Great game and even better that I can get a ROM through VCRomClaim.

In terms of Mega Drive on the JP Wii Shop Channel, you may want to pick up Pepenga Pengo. That game is very rare, and you can get it for a lower price through the Wii Virtual Console. I should've added some extra money to get this, but it slipped my mind. Oh well...

Don't Starve is being released physically for PS4 and XB1 later this month through normal retail (I think 505 Games) so again, a later Switch release wouldn't surprise me.

That said, if the price is low enough I would just go with the digital editions for now, then double dip on the physical when/if they come up.

Agreed, but it's like Mario Kart imo...physical cartridge is annoying for such a pick up and play game. Needless to say, I bought it since it's finally on sale and will trade in the physical cartridge (totally keeping the case, booklet, and stickers though)

 
Paid $1 for Cave Story on Steam and barely touched it. Liked what I played though so I'll probably get it. Almost done with Golf Story.

Bought it because it was on sale. Played it a few hours and totally dig it. Just realized there are like 5 totally different modes with new songs and such so seems like a good purchase for the money.
 
Are switch trade ins good? Like are TIV regularly and competitively updated fairly., and do they also get the bonus BBY trade in promos that ps4 gets monthly?

Switch trade ins can be great when you time it right with promos, bump, etc. For example, I got $59.50 each for Zelda, Odyssey, Kart, Arms, Splatoon, FE, Pokken, and Xenobiade last month (typically $51 is the best for top switch games at gamestop fyi)

I highly doubt that we will get a repeat of those TIV. It must have been a price mistake. Gamestop buys it from you for 59.50, then goes and sells it for what? $55?

Yes, I have the Mario Odyssey Switch that I love. I play the b2g1 gamestop "shuffle" (4 stores 1 morning) with the switch games whenever they run good promos and still have most of the retail games already either physical/digital.

I use the points accrued to buy eshop cards and have about $1800 gamestop bank roll to buy/trade as well as move to best buy for gcu whenever there is comparable values. Also, I collect the gold coins from all eligible titles (most of the time they haven't been collected :) )

It wasn't a price mistake, it was just a high TiV combined with an exclusive coupon. I'm not saying it will ever be repeated, but it wasn't a glitch or anything.

And top Switch games sell for $44 before tax if you have the Elite membership.

It's a really fun game. I've put way too much time into it and have bought it 8 times now. One of my all time favorites but definitely not for everyone. It's super relaxing.
