As this is National Streetpass Weekend, I went to a few locations to try to get some Strettpasses. Home Depot near me usually works, a McDonalds, and a Best Buy. To my surprise, none of these locations worked. I don't know if it's my 3DS or what. Anyone else have this issue happen to them?

Well Streetpass is when you walk near other 3DS players. So maybe noone was around?

They're supposed to have StreetPass stations that automatically act as a means of collecting StreetPasses for visitors to get some when they rarely get any. It seems that the normal places have either been ordered to turn them off or they've had issues that prevent them from working correctly, so they've lost their usefulness.

That's so disappointing. I liked playing the Streetpass games and was nearly at the end the fishing one. I found a McDonalds that still works, so I guess I need to visit the places listed on the Nintendo website and see if any still work. It used to be on Sundays I could visit my local shopping center, stop by Best Buy, McDonalds, and Home Depot, then head home with at least 20 Streetpasses. More if I bothered to quickly process the first 10.

Delete it and re-install. like some of have said, it works perfectly fine for us

Yep, I used to have almost 10 locations that I could hit in about 35 minutes total. Now I know of 4 and that breaks down into 3 Best Buy and 1 Barnes and Noble. Really a shame.

Yeah, I've been noticing less and less streetpasses when going to hotspots too.  The local Burger King worked for a while, now it doesn't anymore.  The local Best Buys still seem to be good...but for how long?

That's so disappointing. I liked playing the Streetpass games and was nearly at the end the fishing one. I found a McDonalds that still works, so I guess I need to visit the places listed on the Nintendo website and see if any still work. It used to be on Sundays I could visit my local shopping center, stop by Best Buy, McDonalds, and Home Depot, then head home with at least 20 Streetpasses. More if I bothered to quickly process the first 10.

Honestly, I got tired of never getting hits so I did the spoof trick and got the ones I cared about. I stopped playing Streetpass games though because the only time I got anything of significance was at Con's. And then I spent the whole con trying to clear games so I could get more people.. which was never ending.

You see so many people at conventions doing exactly that. Every 1-3 hours depending on how many people are there, you'd stop somewhere and start clearing out your plaza.

I ended up checking if I had the update (I did). Just played it again and it locked up on me again! It just shuts down and kicks you to the start screen. So pissed! Don't waste your money in Titan Attack!!!!!

Since I bought Titan Attacks! and installed it with the update, I figured I'd go ahead and play a game on my 3DS. I finished 10+ levels before finally dying. Anyway, no issues at all for me. I'm on a regular 3DS with the latest firmware. It must be your specific system or the install or something. I'd do like the other guy suggested and delete it, reinstall, then install the update again.

Depends on the con. At Comic Con I don't get as many Streetpasses as I expected to, but at my local anime con I get a ton.

Titan Attacks is great on an original 3DS. OlliOlli, on the other hand, is a chore at best because of the slider controls. I couldn't play it for more than a few minutes.

I think OlliOlli is kind of a chore on any system. The main opponent in that game is the strange control scheme. I ended up just deleting it and the sequel from my Vita because the controls just sucked the fun out of the experience.

In case you haven't heard...

Honestly, this is what most logical people have thought for awhile now. "N" has only really ever done well consistently in the handheld sector, so that is where their main focus should be. And with technology the way it is, why not do a hybrid that can function as a console as well.

I personally only really play handhelds 90% of the time, so that would be fine with me, but price and support are key, and so far, I doubt either will be that great, but who knows? They might pull a rabbit out of their ass and surprise us all. LOL

If the rumors of them porting Splatoon, Smash Bros., and Mario Maker to the NX are true, then it likely will have a touch screen. That would also allow it to keep Breath of the Wild's map functionality and provide a space to use amiibo.

Kirby Mass Attack is an amazing game, if you haven't played it, you probably should.  Kirby Epic Yarn is also nice.
