Nintendo Fanboys who like the PSP more than the DS
For instance, my fiancee was going to buy a gift card at a game shop for her brother's birthday. We walked in together, she got in line to get a card (it was kinda busy) and I powered on the PSP display. She was done, already getting antsy to go before the game had even gotten to the title screen. All I was greeted with was 3 different versions of "Loading... please wait." I hardly tollerate that crap on my home consoles; I don't at all on my portables.
Which game was it?

I tried playing "The Con" at an EB kiosk only to get pissed off because it took at least five minutes to just get to a match. By that time I didn't have any desire to continue. That weekend I had a chance to play two games on my nephew's PSP and noticed the load times were infinitely better.

I'm not sure if the load times were due to the game, the handheld's condition, or both but my private demo was smooth as silk.

Well, I like the PSP's video playing capabilities, but given that only one game has ever actually entertained me on the system, I can't actually really acknowledge it as a legitimate platform.

I like both i enjoy ridge racer as much as i enjoy a thrilling game of mario kart ds...ok maybe thats not the right comparison but whatever...too bad Phoenix Wright is taking up all my psp time.

I could say the same thing about the xbox. :D

I like nintendo DS for gaming purpose (without playyan or movie player...that the only thing it does for me anyway)...

I like PSP for its screen and multimedia capabilities.... more like a portable mini computer for me... no gaming appeal to me yet... (haven't try the other 'stuff') but going to when I have the memory stick pro duo.... dang it.. didn't get the 10% coupon from buy.com otherwise.. i'll buy their 2GB... what the heck.. it's christmas.. i deserve to blow some money on their site... with the coupon that is haha :)

I love my DS for a lot of the unique games that it offers, ones that I couldn't see playing on anything else. Stuff like Trauma Center, Phoenix Wright, Kirby's Canvas Curse, Meteos, etc etc. Also it offers me really neat improvements on existing stuff like Mario Kart DS, Animal Crossing and Castlevania DS. I also like that it plays GBA games, since I never owned a Gameboy Advance.

I just got a PSP a couple nights ago, and I really like it. The screen is great, and I'm having a lot of fun playing Lumines, which was the #1 game on my want list for the PSP. I don't really have any other opinions about it since I am starting off, and I don't have many games for it, so I can't fairly judge it on anything else. I'm hoping that next year will be a stronger year for the PSP, since I didn't think this year had that many strong games. I'm pretty excited about Street Fighter Alpha Mix and Me and My Katamari next year.

Both have pros and cons, it just depends on what you want out of your portable gaming as many others have mentioned.
