I bought the black faced unit and the 20th Anniv (reddish) one

They also had the silver faced one
 
TRU had them for $34.95 this morning.. may run all weekend. I braved walmart t around noon and had NO problems at all. I even got the very first non-handicapped parking space by the entrance. It was no busier than the average day.

Now I have to go into toys r us in a little while... I am DREADING it. Sure wish I could call off.
 
yeah, i rolled around to my wally at about 10 am after 5 hours of the 6 hour sale and got a GBM, a black one. at mine they only had 4 left- 2 black, 2 silver. it is quite convenient, I am pleased with it thus far.
 
At my walmart, they had this huge display setup in the back of the store. It was one of those 4 sided things with games on 2 side and GBA micro on the other 2.
There were at least few hundred there. Funny thing is no one was really buying them.

I tried at TRU when they opened (because its $5 cheaper than Walmart) but they were out by the time my section of the line made it in store. I made it to Walmart a couple hours later and they had a whole cart full still.

I ended up picking up a black Micro. These new boxes they are being sold in (without the extra faceplates) don't state what color they are, so looking at it it seems as if it is a silver one since you only see the front of the machine. I guess you just have to know that it is black with a silver face plate.
 
Just to be clear, the sliver-faced one has a black back, right? Do they make a black faceplate? I want a all black Micro...

Yup. You can get the black faceplate from Nintendo to make an all black Micro.
