If you go to your offers in your dashboard then select “shop now” you can actually see exactly what accessories qualify (hint: it ain’t as much as you might think, for instance the Nintendo-branded Microsd express card does NOT qualify).
 
Has anyone been charged by Target for the Switch 2 Pre-order yet... ? or does Target charge when it ships ?
 
Is that it for Nintendo invites.. I've been waiting but I don't think it's gonna be happening.. when does Nintendo open availability to public ?

Check your pending transactions on your card. My Target order popped back into pending this week after falling off after the initial charge. It'll probably do that at least one more time before the 5th. If you get canceled, it's because your card got tired of this shit and denied it, in which case Target cancels the order without any chance of inputting a new payment method or any way to save it. Target sucks.

Gotcha. Mine was mostly on gift cards with the remainder on a Target redcard so hopefully I’m good.

Yeah that's why I have a red card credit card so I don't have to deal with that on my main card, well and the 5%
 
That's the best protection you can do (redcard/giftcard). We would have opted for giftcard, but a $500 GC there would have taken a long time to chew through if we didn't end up with a Target order.
 
What’s the latest I can change the shipping address for Pre-order (Walmart)?

I’ve got an extra pre-order, and am considering having it shipped to a friend who will pay me back. I wanted to wait until the last moment in case A) he changed his mind or B) my other pre-order got cancelled (Best Buy).

At this point I shouldn’t have to worry about the latter happening, right?

I don’t think I’d try to change anything. If you receive both, they can pay for shipping or just return one.

This, or collect the money up front, if they want to pay you now, then you can change the shipping, I would not change the shipping until I have the physical money from them.
 
that's funny. because I just cancelled my only preorder, at Walmart.com.

These things are going to be everywhere. Just talked to the guy at Target and they're going to have ~60-80 Mario Kart bundles, at the very least. That was a small store.
 
Had to update some stuff last night (my guess is the problem had to do with me switching credit cards after I ordered it), but my Best Buy order looks to be ready for Wednesday night (with the transaction being labeled as "pending" on my credit union account).

I don't know about that. I'd be very surprised if these don't sell out -- at least in the U.S. Launch consoles sell because there is a large core/main base that are more than willing to pick up day-one. The real question will be whether Nintendo can keep selling later in the year.

A lot of Youtubers/podcasters seem to think there is no 3-D Mario game coming this year. I strongly beg to differ. Nintendo has that game ready and we may well see it in the Direct rumored for that week. Nintendo knows it needs a killer app or two, and while Mario Kart and DK may be solid games, Nintendo also well knows its games are ever-green titles (meaning they keep selling past day 1) so there is really no reason to hold onto its killer games for later.

I think we're going to see some major first party games for Switch 2 announced in that Direct for later this year - the next 3-D Mario being one of them for the Fall/Winter. That certainly would follow the schedule for Switch 1.
 
Yep, hopefully we get some summer release dates on good games.. Then in the upcoming direct some surprises on a couple of big titles.. new 3D Mario .. etc etc.. looking forward to thw rest of the year.. I'd love to have The Legend of Zelda The Minish Cap remaster announced & Breath of Fire Collection

Thank you for posting this lol. Reminded me to cancel my Walmart preorder. I have it fully paid at GameStop already and would have ended up with two lol
 
What's really lame about all of these pre-orders is I am seeing a lot of people that have delivery dates of like June 11th. What's the point point of pre-ordering when you are going to be getting it like a week later? I bet a lot of you can just walk into the store and buy a switch 2 on June 5th and just cancel your pre-order If it hasn't shipped yet.
 
I got the late night charge from Walmart too, so it looks like I'll be good to go on launch day. Mine went through fine, but I've seen a lot of people report that theirs got flagged for fraud. If Walmart had done the charges during the day, those people could have responded right away to the alerts.
 
I was charged and this morning the money was back in my account. I don't know if they were doing a temp charge to see if the money was available and will fully charge soon or if I'm due to get an email saying my order was canceled.
 
It will be interesting to see if this will actually be available and if the spin will be that:
a) Nintendo did a launch correctly with enough stock
b) Consumers do not want the console compared to other consoles with more power
c) The console price is too high

Now i didn’t get the system from Target (Best Buy for me), but I did order Rune Factory Guardians of Azuma for Switch 2 from Target. Initially showed as delivery on June 11th. Shipping label created today & still showed as the 11th. But once UPS actually took hold of it the delivery date updated to a delivery of the 5th.


So anything Target wait until the package is actually scanned in by the shipper before worrying.

I have sharp opinions about this one… so, in my opinion:

A - I expect it to be overstocked. Although… scalpers in amurica exist. I don’t any sell out is because of the fans, it’s the flippers and scums.
B - there are only what, two launch games? Mario kart and DK?
C - the console is plastic and has no OLED, which already exists from years ago. They raised the price and lowered the quality of the device.

Overall, I don’t get why anyone wants to buy this right now. I can get it for free and I still don’t want it (have tons of gamestop credit). And of course nintendo is going to make a limited or special edition soon, as they always do. I’ll get one one day when it’s OLED, has a limited edition, and has games to play.
 
I have already deceided to pass on this console. The only reason I even "play" my Switch is for lunch incentive with my students (3rd grade) and all they want to play* is Mario Kart or Smash Bros. (although I might hav eto pick up Boomerang Fu next time it goes on sale. I heard that is a fun game).

*they all want to play Fortnite when they see it on the Home Screen, but figured that would be a bad look in school)

Looks like they removed the charge now that I look again lol. Hopefully I get that shipping notice soon from Target as it still says 6/11 in the app.
 
I already secured my Gamestop order and it's arriving via FedEx tomorrow, but I also am unsure if I want this system right now.

The value proposition just isn't there with the current line-up, but I had a lot of Gamestop credit sitting around, and I never feel good about having that much. Gamestop store credit just feels like it can up and disappear on me for whatever reason. Partly due to Gamestop themselves (with their points expiry after 1 year of non-usage, $5 coupon that expires monthly, all the store closures happening, etc)

If I actually paid for the Switch 2 in full cash, I would have already come back to my senses. My Switch 1 doesn't even get play, because I only dig it out for 1st-party titles, and the last good one was Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom.

I’m sure you can just sell it at cost. I don’t like having too much GameStop credit either.
 
I wouldnt assume the ability to resale locally at cost at this point. Every GS location in my area will have 60+ nsw2 consoles beyond the number reserved for preorders.

I don't know that they didn't bite off more than they could chew with all these deliveries, but I get stuff shipped from my local walmart every week or two and they always say delivery by 10 pm. I have gotten them as early as 11 am and as late as 9 pmish.Mine says 10 pm tomorrow, too.
 
Best Buy sent me a tracking number, it says estimated delivery is tomorrow at the moment.

Edit: Changed to Friday now.
