Went to a Walmart today and they had these at 8.00 a pop down from 39.99 according to the tag.

As usual WM is HUGE YMMV etc etc blah blah but I figgered this was worth a mention for others to keep a look out. They had the media dock thing but it was at 15.00 when I saw another WM in the same town had it for 7.00.

It wouldnt scan worth a damn and I cant find my gf's digi-cam but I borrowed this pic off ebay-

wow thats a killer deal on that you should of snag em up.. I would check at my wal-fart but everytime I see a deal announced on here YMMV most of the time they do not have anything at my local one and worse off its a Super Wal-fart..
 
if you have any extra i buy one if the price is nice. I heard they dont work half the time though (these work with the DS right)

I would love to have one. Going out to walmart tonight but doubt i see them that cheap : (

I saw these for $14 in mine a couple weeks ago. I scored one from Goodwill myself for $10 :). It's getting a good workout now that Planet Puzzle League is out.

It's not being anal, it's just the fact that it's a Wal-Mart deal means you will be the only person to ever find them for $8, since Wal-Mart is YMMV 99% of the time.

Hey, maybe this is that 1% of the time it's not YMMV, but I just skip any deal with Wal-Mart in the title ;)

Yes I'm being sarcastic, but the funny thing is the $10 Goodwill deal has been posted and confirmed, unlike the Walmart clearance sale. :)

Awesome find OP, and thanks for the heads up. You know, it might make sense to have a Walmart clearance thread to consolidate these deals. I know it won't be a hot as the other ones, but at least all these finds will be in one place, and make it easier to check local stores for EVERYTHING that has cropped up on clearance for CAGs.

In the time it took him to click and reply, all he had to do was put the cursor of the subject and BOOM..wal-mart plain to see.
 
As far as getting extras, Ill check when I go back by. I have the receipt and thought about taking it to another one that had plenty at 32.00 and seeing if they would price match a couple.

I got 1 for me and 1 for my gf.

I seriously doubt Ill ever use mine.
 
Mine has these for 27 something I think, atleast last I checked. Maybe they went down more since then.

what's true for one store may not be for another & walmart is very common with these.

No problem.
i don't think this is region based - I believe it's more like randomly scattered throught the US - some have it, some may not - strickly luck based. I'm not entirely certain of this but, I'm sure one of our friend walmart cag employees can further answer you question. Well, Your walmart COULD have this deal going on - but is it worth the gas & time to drive out just to check?... Good luck regardless.
 
Typically, Wal*Mart clearance is determined on a store-by-store basis by the department manager/store manager. Few clearance markdowns are company-wide.
 
I got three of these there for $13 each last Monday.

Actually, I found it for $40 at Goodwill.
 
were these at super walmarts or regular walmarts?

i have a feeiing i won't see these cheap at my super walmart...the only videogame stuff they ever mark down is like ds cases.

they still have a copy of frequency sitting in the case for $30...oh walmart...
 
This was a super-center. I checked another in the same area as the one I found these at and they were 32.99. So its def a random WM event.
 
For those who are going to pick it up, keep in mind that it works in XP only.

In Vista, it works for a few days and dies because of the security add-ons.

It doesn't work for Mac users at all. No software for it.
 
For those still interested, I dropped by one of my local Walmarts (Lemon Grove, CA) to see if I could find the deal the OP described. I found a couple of 'em labeled for $16.46, but figured I ought to ask someone to scan it. Boy am I glad I did. It rang up at $5.00 and I promptly bought one for myself and one for my sister. Thanks for the heads up, OP! :D
 
ugh, wal mart is seriously walking distance from my house...

but I HATE wal mart!! I mean if it's less than $20 then it'll be okay,

but if it's not then I gotta wake up in the morning knowing that I was at wal mart the day before.

what to do?!?!?!
 
Went to 4 Wm's today.

One had em marked down from 32.92 to 28.00.
2nd one had it but still at "full price" 32.92.
3rd had it clearanced from 32.92 down to 32.00 lol.

Went back to the WM that I got these from and they were cleaned out and were breaking down the current section of clearanced items.
 
I bought this thing.. the USB unit itself died on me last week! It's not my USB port, everything else works in it. When you plug in the device, it flashes green.. this thing doesn't flash anymore and it says it's not connected. LAME.
 
I was able to hit a couple of walmarts today with the receipt from the original one and was able to price match a couple more today. Now I can ebay one, to pay for the two Im keeping.
 
My craphole Wal-Mart is still charging full retail.

They also have a bunch of sealed N64 Tony Hawk Games and old-ass guides running $14.88 apiece. They've had those N64 games at those prices for at least two or three years now. I don't think anything good is ever clearanced at my WM.
 
My Wal-Mart has it for $9. It was $25 a week ago.

I picked one up for my girlfriend. May go back tomorrow to see if there are any left for tradin'.
