Nintendo Wii at Sears!! GO GO GO Edit: IN STOCK! Deal is going in and out

6 months. Do we still need these threads 6 months after a systems release? Read the weekly ads we post here a WEEK EARLY, and wait outside and buy one.

It may be 6 months after a systems release... But can you easily buy them? No. Not everyone has the time to sit outside a Best Buy on Sunday morning for 2 hours.

There not that hard to get. One Sunday strolling into a CC I had some chick ask me to pick one up for her. They had some sort of a limit and she exceeded it. I bought her one and they still had two boxes left.

Also, it looks like Sears still has them.

Screw that. If they're in stock online then I want to know about it. Thanks OP.

Lets see, today I went to a Walmart, Sams Club, and a mall with Ebgames, Best Buy and Sears. Not one of those 5 stores had a Wii. If they are that easy to get then why did I not see a single Wii or have I not seen a Wii yet in real life.

I don't know where you live, but around here when places have Wii's it usually takes them two days to sell out.

Ok.

I should let everyone know that Best Buy has Lost Planet in stock for the 360. I mean, it may be sold out somewhere, right?

Wii's are impossible to get here still, lines show up 12 hours early everytime a wii shipment will show up the next day.

So, keep up the good work TC!

Just stupid..... Dumb ass reply

I think they must be sold out, since when I do a search for Wii it shows 52 games and 3 acessorys...but no systems. Also if you use the direct link from above and try to sign up for a new account it gives an error message: The following errors occurred while processing your information:

I'm glad so many people have the good fortune to see stacks of Wii consoles everywhere they go, but for the rest of us, this is good. I got mine online at JCPenney.com near launch and have yet to see one "in the wild."

If you want to go sit outside of the garden section of Wal-Mart at 6am on a Saturday like some tool, go right ahead. Working for a living makes that one of the few days I have to sleep-in, so I think I'm going to pass on that. You don't get paid for making posts here, so why certain people feel that it's their right to rip into those who are doing so merely to try to help their fellow CAG's is beyond me. By the sound of things, some people now have Wii's on the way who wouldn't have otherwise...

I got my Wii in January thanks to itrackr.com at Target. I have only seen Wii's once since in the "wild" but it doesn't really count. I went to Best Buy on a Sunday in February for a DVD. I showed up 5 minutes before open, there were about 5 people waiting in line, and I saw about 10 units sitting on the shelves when I went inside but I'm sure they didn't last much longer than that. Since then I've gone to several stores some on a weekly basis (Target) and I STILL have yet to see one of those suckers sitting on the shelves.

Nobody here will get any sympathy from Gizmo (he gave me sh*t about posts in January because I was to "lazy" to get one at launch) but C'mon it's May 20th. How many times has the Wii been in store ads in 2007 so far? Best Buy, Circuit City, K-Mart, Target, Toys R US, etc have had them in thier ads on multiple occasions and from what I've read you barely have to arrive before the stores open to get a ticket anymore. Not to mention the dozens of times they've popped up for sale on-line since the beginning of the year.

You can't just walk into a retailer and buy a Wii 6 months after the launch but if you have a newspaper, alarm clock, and transportation you should have no problem snagging one. Especially with Speedy's help. He gives CAGers ample notice when Wii's are going to be in the Sunday ads.

nice to know OP, I already have one, but since the Wii is still hard to find in most places, this will help some CAGs out
So how long should this go on? Another 6 months? Year? 2 Years?
My guess is till the start of next year.
So how long should this go on? Another 6 months? Year? 2 Years?
Until you can easily walk into a store and buy one of these Sob's.

I can. They are everywhere out here.
But since Nintendo said the drought will last until 2009, we should just keep posting these!

Wii's are everywhere where you live? So if you were to go out tomorrow you could walk into a B&M store and come home with one?

Yes, if I wanted another one. They do make good trade bait on Craigslist vs cash.
I saw 3 at Target today at about 3PM or so. But then again I don't go actively looking for them.

That's pretty amazing Gizmo (if it's true that is). I don't actually go out looking for them either but I always check the electronics sections whenever I am out (usually in hopes of snagging some CAG clearance deals especially at Target) and since I'm over there I take a peek at the Wii case. I have yet to see one of those mythical beasts just lying in the case waiting to be adopted. 360 Elite systems and PS3's of course are a completely different story...

While they are still very scarce in most of the country gamers have had ample opportunities since the first of the year to nab these puppies. In recent months all you've needed to do is arrive just before the stores open on a day when they appear in the sales ads.

I've only ever seen them one time, and it was within the last month, at a local Walmart. I still didn't want one, but was genuinely surprised to actually see one of the beasts in the wild.

On that note, has anyone else noticed that the locked cases where most stores keep their gaming consoles/specialty games are way, way, way, way, WAY overstuffed these days? It's honestly to the point now where I wonder if they don't have some hidden secret stashes of stuff sitting behind the consoles and what not. There's just too much stuff to be keeping locked up, IMHO.

YES thank YOU. I have been trying to get a Wii for months but never timed it right. THANKS TO THE OP I managed to get one. I am happy. To the naysayers:
Quit being sarcastic jerks. Wiis are VERY hard to find. I have NEVER seen one "in the wild" despite frequenting many stores and having friends check for me. So please keep posting whenever they show up online because it is ever so brief that they appear. Like an elusive Pokemon or soomething. :D

The only ones that are really showing any 'props' to this are the ones who don't have one. Don't be so damn lazy. Wake up at 8am and go wait at Best Buy or Target or Wal-Mart or any of the other places that advertise they will have one.

I waited in front of Target all night on launch day to get my Wii. But I still appreciate these threads. I don't think it kills you to see them. They are helping someone.
6 months. Do we still need these threads 6 months after a systems release? Read the weekly ads we post here a WEEK EARLY, and wait outside and buy one.
It took me nearly SEVEN months to find my system. I NEVER get a sunday off of work, because I actually have responsibilities at my job, and take them seriously.

Some people, you know, actually CAN'T find them as easily as you may. If you don't want to read the threads, you can always choose to not click on them.

I snagged the only one that I have ever seen in a store. Some people actually have lives and other things to do than to wait outside of a store and hope to score one. I have yet to see another in-store one. And I do frequent the electronics sections whenever I shop at a store.
The only ones that are really showing any 'props' to this are the ones who don't have one.
Well no shit, that's how it usually works here with any thread.

So allow me be to be the first Wii owner to thank the OP because if I hadn't got lucky about a month ago I still wouldn't have one. Lines in my area are still around 3+ hours, plus I work most Sunday mornings. Even if I didn't work, I would sure appreciate the heads up on things like this that would save me the hassle. Even if this might belong in another forum, I don't see why some are getting their panties in a twist over it.

So because you have to work Sunday you can't get one? Ever? Go on your lunch break, they usually last 2 days at most places I visited, including the Target today, at 3PM which still has 3 in its case, and maybe more in the back.

Sure, the typical response is 'well we have lives! We can't wait outside all damn morning for an hour!', yet most of these people are available to post here, at CAG, at random times of the day much like myself. If you want one that bad simply get up one hour early on a Sunday, get a cup of coffee, and WAIT. You should have no problems getting them. Instead, you would rather keep clicking refresh at Sears.com in hopes of snagging one for either an inflated price, or pay $20+ extra to get it shipped to you.

Its not the point of 'You don't need to click it' rather that the forum gets flooded with these types of posts which are not deals in anyway. MSRP + Shipping has never been a deal unless its an out of print title like Rez.

Until we get to the point where these things actually stay in stock more than like a minute after the original post, yeah, they should probably be posted. Whether or not it's a deal, it's apparently hot.

Jesus Gizmo shut up. If you don't like these threads don't click on them. I don't think the world's gonna end buddy. It's not all about YOU. From what I can gather, most people don't have Wii's readily available. I personally have only seen a Wii in a store once.

Why exactly are you so adamant about people having to do what YOU want them to do to get a Wii? Why is it any of your business?

I live in the middle of no where in Iowa and I have yet to see one in the store. They dont even make shelf space for the Wii's anymore because they will barely touch them before they are right out the door again.

Heaven forbid a CAG helps someone find a wii. I've seen one Wii in the wild and it was a return. I got mine off amazon because of a thread like this, and they sold out in 3 mins. That was last week. All OP is trying to do is help someone get a Wii if they want it. I don't know where you live but the general consensus around the world is that its hard to find a wii. The same reason they're going for $300+ on ebay still.

Is this thread a deal? No, but still no reason to go flying off the handle about it. It is a thread trying to help. If they resell the one they buy then its a deal to them.

Interesting... so the CAG threads are 'flooded' with these? I don't see another thread about Wii's being in stock anywhere on the first page of threads.

Why might that be? Because they aren't in stock anywhere else.

Thanks OP.

If you were trying to be sarcastic with that comment, it's not so great for your argument. People have a point. The post is for people who are having a hard time finding a Wii. Sorry if you don't like posts like these that are not actual "deals". But most of everyone else agrees that people posting topics to HELP people shouldn't be criticized.

What's your reason for not wanting Availability of Wiis posted?
Instead of having people help other people trying to get a product, you would rather have the convenience of have less threads be moved down the page? What's so annoying about topics like these trying to help people?

Check the Graveyard.
You're right. I need to start a thread everytime I find anything somewhere!
If it's on a want list by a lot of people here but hard to find for them at the same time (just like the Wii), please do. We won't even give you shit about it like you're doing.

Apparently my last posts were too much to swallow, so I'll just say this: I already have one because I got lucky, but I appreciate the heads up anyway.

Sears has screwed me over countless times on the "pre-orders" or "in stocks" I think twice they had the Wii's up and had to apologize TWICE that they didn't actually have them. The same thing happended when I tried pre-ordering a 360 from them a few years ago. Never again I say, and god bless those who get through with them.

Welll that makes one of you...apparently everyone else in this thread who actually can't find a Wii is happy that the OP posted this deal. In the Tampa area they're OOS everywhere I've checked.
