Nintendoage moderators are a bunch of cyber bully's

Not many people like NA.

The staff on there are stupid. You'll be a black sheep if you talk bad about the VGA but if you support anti piracy and not selling piracy related items, or selling repros without a proper licence then you'll be unwanted there.

It's the biggest community of gaming hypocrites. They'll talk about how much they support developers and how they pay crazy prices but they have no problem buying repros from a guy making profit on them without a licence. It's copyright infringement. They're too stupid to realize it's no different the pirating an illegal rom as both are illegal. The only difference is digital vs physical.

I argued with a guy once that told me if I download a rom of a repro he bought, that it would be illegal. I then proceeded to tell him the person who sold him the physical copy didn't obtain a legal license to sell it. All that person did was dump the rom on a cartridge and slap a label from a good laser printer. Again a lot of NA members including the staff are imbeciles. Now we have people coming on this site trying to sell illegal repros too stupid to realize it's no different then a illegal rom.

I think they think because it's a physical dumped rom being played on the original console isn't illegal for some apparent reason.

It's not just a problem with repros. The staff on NA let their users trade and sell piracy related content. That should tell you a lot about them. Same with GTZ. The site owner Bill condones piracy related content. That is not tolerated here on CAG.

WTF is a 'repros'? I gather physical copies of illegal software, but 'repros?'

Reproductions? Is that an actual used slang word in the "scene"?

A reproduction cart is essentially a bootleg copy of a game. There are licensed reproductions, but it seems to me that quite a lot of them are done without the knowledge or consent of the copyright holders. There are also fan-made original games and hacks of licensed games which are new or remixed games using licensed assets.

Often times they use "donor carts" to use the board from one game and to make it play another game. Sometimes they use totally new parts or a mixture of original and new parts.

Reproduction carts are often of games that never made it to the United States, fan-translations of Japanese-exclusive games and extremely rare games like Nintendo World Championships.

It's just a big grey area, CheapyD has a lot more to loose to allow such talks on the site than anything. This is his lively hood after all so I don't blame him or the mods at all. I actually would love to get my hands on some of these repros but some of the prices are insane.
