Just got back from the Milpitas Wal-Mart in CA and was surprised to see a number of video games on clearance.

I know typically clearance is not its own thread, but given how new some of these games are, I figured it deserved its own thread.

I'm only a Nintendo guy, so I don't know about others, but several DS, GBA, and GC games were on sale for about half-price....the guy working there said it was a post-Halloween thinning. As always with Wal-Mart, you may or may not find similar deals.

Here's what I remember seeing:

DS:
Nintendogs--$15 (rang up full price, but sign clearly said $15, so they overrided)
Trace Memory--$15
Ridge Racers--$15
Tiger Woods--$15
Football (Madden?)--$15

GBA:
DK-King of Swing $15
Teen Titans $15
Lots of Spyro/Barbie/Spongebob/Disney style games (including 2 packs) for both $10 and $15

GC:
Batman Begins $12
Various licensed titles and extreme sports games for $10-$15

PSP--nothing on sale at all

PS2 and Xbox--I have no clue

I hope this helps!

Don't know if this is worth a 20 min. drive just to check. Unless they have some more good stuff that includes Xbox and PS2 stuff. But I am surprised they have Nintendogs and Trace memory so cheap so soon.

Yes!! Finally a Walmrt clearance at a location I can get to. Do you think they will still be in stock on Saturday?

With the volume of sales at Wal-Mart, you never know!

I think there were only about 3 copies of Trace Memory left when I was there, and probably about 15 copies of Nintendogs across the three versions. Those were the only two I bought, so not sure about anything else.

should of grabbed a few of them to trade to other Cags

Trace Memory is worth $15.
All wal mart clearences are very YMMV in my experiences
Your car's pathetic.

Going to my bank tomarrow and there is a wal-mart right next to it. Will have to check out but my wal-mart's game section is poor and in crappy condition. *sigh*

ditto.

Can anyon else confirm Trace Memory for $15? The game got decent reviews and I'd pick it up in a heartbeat if that price was true. But the nearest Wal-Mart is 25 minutes away.

No luck at my Walmart, if anyone wanted to pick me up Nintendogs: Golden Retriever and/or Trace Memory I'd gladly drop some cash or trade some sweet swag.

Just got back from the same WalMart (Milpitas, CA - near San Jose)

Here's what I got:
Geist - GC - $25
The Warriors - Xbox - $20
The Sims 2 - Xbox - $20
SW Battlefront - PS2 - $10

Here's what I remember:
PS2:
SW Battlefront - $10
Midway Arcade Treasures 3 - $10

Xbox:
Burnout Revenge - $20
Halo 2 - $20
Halo Triple Pack - $25
Halo Multiplayer Disk - $10
SSX On Tour - $20
Sims 2 - $20
Marvel Nemesis - $25
Full Spectrum Warrior - $10
Tom Clancy Trilogy - $10

GC:
Pokemon XD - $25
Geist - $25
Sims 2 - $20
SSX On Tour - $20
Tony Hawk American Wasteland - $25

Those are all that I remember, but there were probably a few others.

The games are in the cases with the other games, except that the tags end in .00 instead of .96 or whatever.

 That just came out!

If someone wants to pick me up a copy of Sims 2 I was really wanting to get it as a Christmas present and that price is unbelievable for a game released last week.

I went to the Wal Mart in Milpitas today and I didn't see a price tag on the nitendogs. I was surprised to see the Halo 3 pack, Marvel Nemesis and SSX on sale. Those games just came out no longer than a month ago.

I saw these games on sale monday, I can add that there are also quite a few GBA games on sale when I went (Dragonball GT Transformation $15, Namco 50th $10, Sims 2 $15) and picked up Trace Memory $15, Burnout Revenge $20, and Halo Triple pack $25... also checked the two local walmarts nearby but they don't have any sale and have no idea what I'm talkin about... so definitely YMMV, but no idea why this particular Walmart is having this 50% sale...

Is there any way any of you could take a pic of the receipt or scan it. I went to the walmart to a couple of walmarts in dallas and they said bring in the advert or receipt and they would match it. Or take a pic of the sign that shows the sale at walmart

So it would be really cool if ya'll did that. I wanted to pick up trace memory.

Thanks guys

Here's a scan of my receipt. The names are not shown, but the numbers are the UPC of each game.

The order is:

Geist - GC
SW Battlefront - PS2
The Warriors - Xbox
Sims 2 - Xbox

Hope this helps others score some good deals.

Omg, I just realized that Milpitas is near Berkeley (I'm not from around here, I didn't know.) Now I'm trying to decide if it's worth it to borrow my friend's car and owe her another favor for some cheap games...

it's about time this, Milpitas, Wal-Mart had their clearance! last year, the Mountain View Wal-Mart had a clearance, and an employee told me typically they do it once a year on a rotational basis.

last year, it was $10-$15 games, but 50% off ain't bad either.

the Milpitas Wal-Mart's video game inventory is way overstocked. shoot, Beach Spikers on the GC was still selling for $49.9X!! we-todd-did.......

Thanks vgossain for posting that..if anyone got trace memory or any of the other games could do the same ...i'm sure alot of us would be very appreciative.. =)

Hmm... I might stop by at a near by Walmart. Some of these have really good prices.

Where did you guys get these games? Do they put it out in a bin? A rack? Behind the glass case?

By near it will take you at least an hour, and if you are going on weekdays, at least 90 min with the traffic.

there was one copy of trace memory when i left, so your chance isnt good.

Yeah, that's "near enough". With gas prices these days though, it probably won't be worth it. Damn.

There is a scan on page two.

And for anyone else asking for Daschund, it is NOT $15. (the lab version is, however)

Edit: I also made a complete list of all the games here
