What a HUGE surprise when I did the price changes today... a shitload of DVD box sets went down to 19.99. The biggest drop is Nip / Tuck Season 1, went from 46.99 to 19.99. The only way these are YMMV is if your store is lazy and didn't update their prices!

Nip / Tuck Season 1 - 19.99
Everybody Loves Raymond Season 1 - 19.99
Everybody Loves Raymond Season 2 - 19.99
ER Season 1 - 19.99 (this is priced at 46.99 as well!)
Lois and Clark Season 1 - 19.99
Smallville Season 2 - 19.99
Dynasty Season 1 + 2 - 19.99
Dukes of Hazzard Season 1 - 19.99
Dukes of Hazzard Season 2 - 19.99
West Wing Season 1 - 19.99
West Wing Season 2 - 19.99
Friends Season 1 - 19.99
Friends Season 2 - 19.99

hot shit...too bad i have most of them

have nip/tuck
have ELR s1
have ER s1
have smallville s2
have west wing s1
have west wing s2

id buy lois and clark for sure and maybe ELR s2, though i dont even know if i like either one of those
i've never seen nip/tuck. What kind of show is it...comedy? drama?
Drama.

This list is real, the only reason it wouldn't work is if a) your store has none of the titles (we only had half of them) and b) the PLC people didn't update the stores prices, in that chance ask for a manager, tell them the price is lower, and they need to update it. Mine are done automatically for me, I just have to slap new price stickers on everything.
hmm can anyone else confirm this, cause I really dont want to call to nullify it or drive all the way there for nothing
i believe the OP works there, though i'm not positive

I'm electronics dept. manager for my store, I was also 100% right on the entire blue light sale :p

I wouldn't throw down info if it wasn't correct. Sadly, I couldn't take the price change sheet home with me to scan it, since I have to return it when I'm done.

Usually we send old DVD's back for credit, so I'm not sure why corporate just decided to blow them out like this... I'm not complaining, though.

thanx OP
i just called my kmart and nip/tuck season 1 is 45.99 :(
most likely, they weren't retagged and the employee just read the current tag without scanning it...or if he/she scanned it, they didn't put the updated prices into their system

well thats almost like a dare to drag myself to Kmart...

I double dog dare you...I would like to know as well :)
well thats almost like a dare to drag myself to Kmart...
the closest kmart to me is about 20-25 minutes away...and if the Blue Light game sale didn't drag my ass down there, i'm not too sure this would be able to...i'm afraid to chance my kmart having been to lazy to update the prices...i mean, what kmart isn't lazy? 99% of them are....even if they did have them, the only way for it to be worth it to me is if i could buy extra and profit off of them through ebay or something

yeah I need the OP phone number so if shit goes down I will call him so he can explain why I should be saving 25 bucks or so

He is correct... 99% of ALL retail employees will just read the price on the sticker. Most "regular" employees don't ever get the priviledge of seeing the PLC sheet, and the manager may just be lazy or hasn't gotten around to updating it (it might be his day off, for example, and the list came in today).

Like I said, a manager can check the price with the RMU... they go into Item Management --> Item Inquiry, scan the item (Nip Tuck Season 1 for instance) and if it HASN'T been upgraded, the first # will say 46.99, and the bottom # will say what the price should be, which is 19.99.

Tell a manager that as a last result, but just be like "I saw this tagged at a different K-Mart for 19.99, maybe you didn't update your system, can I talk to a manager please to have them double check it".

The computer will keep displaying the price as 46.99 until the proper people update it, but it's real easy to update.

Most night crews at these stores are just kids... if you have a real hard time tonight, try again in the morning, when dept. managers usually work.

do you know how long this sale is supposed to last?

I may have to pick up the following:

Nip/Tuck S1
Lois and Clark

Raymond S1&2

Then again, my K-Mart, most likely will only have Raymond and maybe Lois and Clark. But I'll check on my way to work tonight and see how many copies of each they have incase some people are wanting any and just don't have a K-Mart near them.
Excellent, I've been waiting for a price drop on Nip/Tuck.

Now if only 24 Season 2 would drop...
Yeah, that and Shield S2. But the best price for those will probably be on the DDD sale or when S4 of each show is released and you save money by buying more.

Nip/Tuck for 19.99 is an absolute steal... I bought it for 30 someodd bucks around this time last year and have never once regreted it. It's an intense, over the top show but it's great entertainment. Def recommended.

Seems like Walmart is following suit and dropping a lot of the same Warner Bros Dvds down to 20 dollars as well. I hope other studios will start following them as well.
do you know how long this sale is supposed to last?
Not a sale, this is a permanent price drop.

Does anyone know if Wal-Mart has any different titles other then what's on my list?

Looks like I'm stopping at Kmart tomorrow. I have three Kmarts with in a 20 minute drive from, depending what way I go. I'm sure one of the three will have something worth getting.

OMG! I been waiting for Nip/tuck to drop, but I didn't think it would be that much that fast. I guess I can start xmas shopping early;)

Went to two Kmarts today and they had nothing but Lois and Clark. I guess I'll have to wait for another store to do the price drop. I so wanted that Nip/tuck:bomb:

roguejedi5, check Walmart.

Anyone who doesn't have Nip/Tuck or hasn't seen it should definitely pick it up. It's one of the best shows on TV right now.

Unlucky, unlucky.. I checked K-Mart, two Wal-Marts, and even looked in Best Buy too.

Nobody has Nip/Tuck Vol. 1 here. I really wanted to pick that up.

I want to mention something in this thread that should also be mentioned in the OP. WB is having a rebate promo from 1.1.05 to 6.30.05 that goes like this:

Buy 2 select TV DVDs, receive $10 back
Buy 3, receive $20
Buy 4, receive $30
Buy 5, receive $40
Buy 6, receive $50

The following DVDs from this deal are eligible (plus a shit load more dvds that aren't part of the Kmart deal):

Nip / Tuck Season 1 - 19.99
ER Season 1 - 19.99 (this is priced at 46.99 as well!)
Lois and Clark Season 1 - 19.99
Smallville Season 2 - 19.99
Dukes of Hazzard Season 1 - 19.99
Dukes of Hazzard Season 2 - 19.99
West Wing Season 1 - 19.99
West Wing Season 2 - 19.99
Friends Season 1 - 19.99
Friends Season 2 - 19.99

That should help out a lot.

I forgot about this deal and saw it in my Smallville s4 that i just bought. Then I went back to my deepdiscountdvd sale from June/July and saw that I ordered 12 qualifying tv dvds from that sale...which nets me $100 back in rebates.

PS: I really want a Lois and Clark. If anyone picks up an extra copy, please let me know via PM.

Nip/Tuck is like softcore cable porn. Which is why it is awesome. I bought it a year ago for $25, but it is an outright steal at $20.

Up from the grave, all K-Marts got in a repenishment of these this week for the new sale (all of them are 16.99) and a new cardboard standee.

Gilmore Girls price drops! C'mon! I got the first two at Target's blowout price, now I need S3. I don't expect S4 to go on sale until next year, but...

Actually, we don't have Gilmore Girls as part of the sale, or Full House or any of the newer stuff.

Just the stuff in the OP is 16.99, along with Wonder Woman and The Waltons.

Oh, I know. I was just hoping the Price Drop god would hear my inane ramblings and grant me my humble wishes.

So, there would be out on the floor, not locked up in the glass case with the rest of the DVD box sets?

I went looking for Smallville S2 when you originally posted this and came up empty. If they've been restocked, it might be worth taking a look to see.
