Nip/Tuck Season 4 thread aka What don't you like about yourself?

First thing I said when it started, "Knowing the how fast things move towards totally fucked up, and them having to top last season.... five bucks says the baby is a mutant and Troy and Christian get gay for each other..."

My girlfriend told me to shut the hell up, and stop trying to ruin the show.

I was right though.

I didn't think Christian would be able to bag his psychiatrist that quickly! I thought she'd play hard to get for a while.

I bet you that Christian is going to hurt himself this season. It seems that Christian is realizing that he is getting old and that the life style he lives is getting old and he wants a family of his own....but his persona won't let it happen. BTW I bet you that black chick who is now the co-owber is going to have an affair with Troy. Maybe a love triangle with Christian?
for some reason I can't pull myself to watch until all the eps are out
Yeah, I caught the first three seasons the DVD. This is the first time I'm watching when they are on cable. I miss being able to watch two or three episodes at a time without commericals.
I missed tonights. Whens it on next?
FX shows these all the time, prob like Sat late night, gotta go to the website though for more info

Well, we saw this kids in this episode. We probably won't hear about them for another month or so.

Anyone else find this weird?

Actually I find it to be a good thing. The girl is just bland and I really don't care for Matt as a character or his storylines. It will be interesting to see how they add the new kid to the show and how his disability is dealt with. I did find it sad that the daughter is more accepting of the new baby's disabilities than her parents apparently are.

Every time Annie appears on screen, I jokingly ask "Who's that?" She's pretty frequently forgotten on the show, so I'm glad they put her to a good use.

You're assuming they'll actually have the baby. A miscarriage is the typical way these things end up on TV, and while that would be cheesy, I just don't see this show doing an extended and sensitive portrayal of what it's like to raise a special needs infant. The average "major change to a character" lasts about 4 episodes on this show.

Although, hey, what's one more kid to ignore?

The MacNamara's had their baby. Crazy that it was a real live baby with the actual condition that it was supposed to have been born with in the storyline.

Scenes from the next episode look crazy...

Re: shieryda's spoiler (seems silly to quote it)

Yeah, I was really surprised by that. But I was also kind of surprised that
Julia went from, what -- appearing to be three or four months pregnant to nine months pregnant in about two weeks.

I never watch next-week previews anymore.

Someone on the writing team likes urban legends. And I would have loved to have been there when Melissa Gilbert found out about her character's motivation. It makes me wonder if they've ever had a guest star turn them down based upon the character they'd have to portray, but they've certainly gotten their share worth of guest stars with Issues this season.
