I always do PMs at BB, usually with CCs ad. I did it with Mario vs Sonic (27.99), House of the Dead 2/3 ($18.99) and God of War 2 (17.99). If you are going to do this, make sure you pick the game up ASAP. I will pick up NHM on Monday, hopefully, with some penny guides.;)

I have always been lucky in that my BBs never call the store I'm PMing to see if they have the game or dvd in stock. :D

**Edit- Just noticed. If you buy the game before the advertised sale, it shouldn't matter if the other store has the game in stock. Basically, BB is PMing advertised sale, plus 10% of the difference, after your purchase.
I haven't had any issues with the return-and-rebuy-with-10% off-PM before, though sometimes, they put in the PM'd price as the regular price, and I end up with a little more off on the PM. :D All they need to do is ring it out as a PM to CC at $19.99 and the computer should do the rest. If the price changes between now and the 11th, then it'll just need a manual price change to $16.99, which does the same thing.
Am I correct that you can't PM a % off sale at Best Buy?? Or maybe I'm confusing this with another store....

Thanks
The only sales I've had issues with them not doing a PM against were "free giveaway" promotions, such as "buy x, get a $y giftcard" or the like. I've heard other CAGs have issues with it in the past.

I was just about to buy NMH for $30...will pick it up for $20 here. I probably will snag Mario Kart and one other..

thanks op!

Everyone don't buy NMH! B/c of you I'll have to wait longer for it to go down to $10. Just wait a couple weeks then It'll be $10.

Blue Dragon and NMH here I come. NMH will be bought this week at BB and then PMed down for that extar 10% goodness....probably the same for Blue Dragon.

I would take part in the B1G1 on Wii games, but I have two out of three that I want and so all that's left is Mario Kart and nothing else to get. Do they allow substitutions?

so for the BB 10% can i buy the game in store the week before the sale then when the sale comes i bring the CC ad show my receipt and pm?
That's the cheapest I've seen Neutral Milk Hotel!
I see what you did there... :applause: I was thinking the same...

In for No More Heroes!!

The more expensive the starting price, the better the PM is.

For $49.99, it would be $16.99 after PM.
For $39.99, it would be $17.99 after PM.
For $29.99, it would be $18.99 after PM.
thanks shrike was wondering if i could get it in store since u said something about buyin online and in store pick up:lol:
If you pick it up in-store without a BB.com in-store pickup order, then they do a PM on it, and it's easy.

If you do an in-store pickup order from BB.com and then do a PM, they return it and do it as a regular purchase, which would be to be a PM to CC's price of $19.99. Should be $16.99 + tax when they're done with it.

BB.com orders can't be PM'd exactly like an in-store purchase, so they do it as a return-and-rebuy-with-10%-extra-PM.

What would happen if BB drops the price between now and then? Say I buy it today at $49.99 for in-store pickup. It drops to $29.99 next week (since the game seems to be dropping), and then I try to pick it up next Sunday with the PM-- do they price adjust based on the $49.99 or the $29.99?

(Sorry I'm splitting hairs, I just don't think I can get out to either BB or CC on Mother's Day so am trying to figure out the most "fool proof" method of getting this... since I'm assuming CC's will sell out fairly quick, since I doubt they have much stock, and I don't want to get stuck unable to get a price match)

I wasn't sold on No More Heroes...but then I showed the game to my sister today, and after thirty seconds of looking at the back of the box she said, "That looks like a lot of fun."

No More Heroes, here I come! :)

As for the half off sale, the only game off the list I'd really need is Super Mario Galaxy, and I don't think I can justify any of the others right now. If I'd known this was going to happen so soon after Mario Kart's launch, though, I'd have waited a few weeks. Darn.

If it drops in the meantime from when you bought it, you're supposed to get the PM from your paid price, not the current price.

If you buy it at $49.99, you're getting it PM'd for $16.99, as it would be $49.99 - $30.00 - $3.00 = $16.99. If they try and PM it to some other amount, make sure you check your receipt before you leave the store.

I want SSBB, Mario Kart Wii and Lego (and of course NMH). I just ordered MK from Amazon. So I could get SSBB and Lego, but I don't know how I feel about paying $37.50 for Lego. So I am contemplating sending MK back and just picking up SSBB and MK for $75. I don't know... :(

Sweet i sold my copy of NMH to a friend so i'll be buying mine here too. Question, if i buy my game now, CC will adjust the price on the 11th correct? I was thinking of going out today and picking all this stuff up and then PMing it later. That will work right?

If you pick it up from CC, it'll be matched only at 100% off the difference. Picking it up at BB will get you 110% of the difference as a PM.

my circuit city doesnt have alot of the m rated games especially for the wii should i just order from there website or what? they never even have the games they advertise that are on sale that week, like this week no bioshock to be found the whole week what can be done about this?
No More Heroes sounds like a great use for my GTA gift card. Thanks!

My condolences to Goichi Suda on these ridiculous price drops.
At least, NMH has held out longer than Killer7, which dropped to $29.99 a week after it was released.
Definitely the time card since there is a picture of it. (Unless of course they fucked up)
Thanks! I'll give it a shot.

Every time i try to do that with Best Buy they always reject it. it's horrible but it is what it is. Thanks though :D

Went ahead and picked up Mario Kart and Smash Bros tonight at my local CC. They said just bring back the receipt next Sunday to get the $25 back. Sadly they didn't have NMH. I figure I'll just grab the ad when I'm there next week and PM at Best Buy.
