Parking Fees in Boston are crazy. $30-$40 a night.
I parked in the closest lot to the National Aquarium when I was in Baltimore two weeks ago. Basically anything over an hour to nearly a day was $25, anything more than 24 hours was $50. I almost shit my pants (from the chinese food, not the parking).

New York rates can be even higher, depending on what part of the city you're in.

What's a 60GB PS3 bundle worth, OTT? Just had someone send one out that included Madden '09, SOCOM, Uncharted, one DS3, one Sixaxis, and sealed copies of Clock Tower 3 and ATV Offroad 2 for PS2. He got $330 shipped from eBay (sold for $305, charged $25 for shipping via UPS).

Speaking of worth, I think I'm going to sell my  Wii. It comes with three controllers, two nunchuks, and a classic controller. Also includes a ton of games. How much is it worth?

That sounds about right

My brother is trying to sell the same thing.

He has a  Wii, 2 Controllers, 2 Nunchuks, a classic controller plus a bunch of games and he is looking for $300 for it... I dunno if he is gonna get that or not though.
Might get that new Mac shit for my iBook.

Probably needs it.
If you can acquire a copy of Leopard, I'd recommend that before upgrading to 10.6. The upgrade is only $29 single/$49 family - if you know a bunch of people with Mac's, definitely go for the family pack since the "5 user limit" is seriously misnamed. ;)

And you guys give me shit when I say I don't own a car
What's your Steam ID, ack? I'll send you a friend request.
Is anyone else here going to PAX Boston. Any recommended hotels.

I'm starting to lean towards the Marlow. 4 Star Hotel. Pluses are with parking it'll be about $200 a night and it appears good quality. For an additional $35 I cna get a view on the river. Bad is that it isn't downtown and there seem to be complaints because of that bad location. but the T line seems about 3 and a half blocks and that'll take you straight downtown. There are lesser hotels closer but their parking is $40 and the MArlow is $20, so the price about evens out.

I've never used the name your own price. From the way it sounds, you cna name any price. But whoever takes your bid, you have to take.

Marlow is a bit away, but honestly, you're going to want to take the T anywhere you go in the city.

Also, whoever is going to PAX Boston, I'll try to organize an OTT meetup.

Yup.

I use Priceline all the time, and get Radissons and Sheratons 75% of the time.

I do occasionally get Extended Stay Suites-type of rooms, but that's when I bid ridiculously low prices like $30 a night

Never come to the Radisson in Norfolk. Easily the most ghetto "nice hotel" in my area. I tell people I used to work there and their reaction is "Wow, that must have been fun." It was, but in more of a drug haze kind of way than a valuable life experience.

Hmm, I only know one other person with a Mac...actually two. This could work. Also, I only have 10.39, that ok?

You can still do it, it's just cheaper to upgrade from 10.5 than anything lower. 10.5 or borrow someone's disc first, and you'll save $$$. The 10.6 box set with Snow Leopard, iLife 09 and iWork 09 is $170, and you can't buy just the 10.6 OS without the upgrade.

The green line runs 5:15-12:30 man. It never runs 24 hours.

It's probably the biggest complaint up here. Bars close at 2, and there's no public transportation, even though it's what 80% of the city uses.

Well, some lines in some cities run 24-7 and some don't.

Guess if Iw as to go to PAx I could take the green there but have to take a taxi back to the hotel. But someone said a taxi ride was only about $6 bucks.

Just walk. I got wasted in Boston and somehow ended up in the wrong part of town. Ended up stumbling my way back to the Coast Guard base. I drove the route the next day, and it was close to 12 miles.

You can literally walk almost anywhere in Boston. I've walked from the harbor back to where I live which is near Hynes. Everyone either walks or takes the T. It's really not a big deal to walk... unless it's snowing.

fuck.

Thanks for the info!

Just flashed my Asus WL-520gu router with Tomato. I wonder if I will notice any difference between that and DD-WRT.

I do like Tomato's interface better.

Ya, it's really not that big of a deal to walk to where that hotel is. It's probably going to take you 45 minutes to walk there from Hynes, but I've done that (walked from here to Cambridgeside which is right next to where your hotel is).

If it's a lot cheaper, I'd definitely do it.

Went to a Mexican supermarket to pick up my tomatillo and the lady gave me a weird look cause that was the only thing I bought. Came out to 10 cents.

Mojimbo, I need your assistance with another problem. Some of my tracks basically have no tags, even though I run them through Picard and MP3Tag and save them.

For example, Aesop Rock's Daylight shows up like this:
badtag.jpg

as opposed to this:
goodtag.jpg

It's only that song out of the album, which is the weird thing to me. I'm not sure at all what else to do for tagging it. Any ideas?

It's not uncommon for either of those programs to skip a file because for whatever reason it gives a "cannot write" error so I'd say to run those files through the programs again but I'm assuming you already tried that.

It didn't look like they skipped it. It was green in Picard, and I did just that track on MP3Tag, and it seemed to look fine. Here's a shot after doing everything again.

That's bizarre. Have you tried restarting your computer? Does tagging them in Explorer by right clicking and going into properties work?

I can't imagine many of them ended up like that, right? If I was you I'd just suck it up and just input everything myself if that was the case.
