A heads up for you Rock Band junkies...

They just gave away a few Jimi Hendrix codes on their Facebook page, and more at 16,000 followers on Twitter. They need 99 more followers, so follow 'em, retweet, and best of luck winning a code!

I won a code for it last week, and it's pretty sweet DLC to have for free. :)

Unless people get annoyed, I can continue post MANY Twitter contests for games, DLC, etc. I enter a lot of them, and I actually win a lot as well.

Apparently I won that Scrap Metal code from the one I posted about yesterday, and I asked to make sure it was random and I just got lucky, which apparently I did. I was just hoping they didn't pick me for advertising the contest here.
 
They change it up, but usually post with 1-2 missing characters, and sometimes a full code for the quickest copy/paster in the business.... that's how I won. :)
 
stopped doing it, it's bullshit and just more advertising and exposure for them. the people who win are the ones who usually post those codes on here fs/td and the people like me who actually want to enjoy the games/content never win. forget about it
 
Rockband seems to give stuff away periodically. I had some success last week with a trixie360 contest and won me some Jimi Hendrix (I was actually really surprised to find out it was the whole album dlc when I entered the code.

Bdavid, I think you want to post them on CAG you maybe just make one thread and update? Someone did that with names that give stuff away semi-frequently a month or two ago, which is honestly probably the best way to do it.
 
I've won one thing on Twitter, which happened to be posted about five minutes after I signed up for an account. But "fastest finger" contests and "fill in the blanks" bother me....it's like I'm penalized for, you know, having a life.
But yeah I can see an inclusive Twitter-contest thread.
As a non-twitterer, it seems to me that twitter has moved rapidly from news of the pointless/mundane, to a brief stint as hot-off-the-press, citizen journalism, to viral advertising and pyramid marketing.

When the last code had 2 missing letters, I randomly picked V as the first and went A-Z with the second. When that didn't work, I just gave up. There was just way too many possibilities.
