It was good while it lasted (I think it was for almost 2 years). I wonder how long until Circuit City takes away their free shipping as well. I will only order from them if they have something like $4.99 or $9.99 games now.
That sucks. I probably will be buying from them alot less now.
Same here, CC has pretty much got all my business now. I loved getting a $9.99 cd w/free shipping.

notice the "why pay shipping? pick up your items in store!" they must be trying to push that now and save some cash.. cheap bastards.. oh well.. CC here i come!

that's what i figure also, the in store pick-up.

First EB, now BB. EB is only good for used games anyway, CC will be getting all my new-game business.

That way they can ask you if you want an extended warranty.

WTF? Two preorders I ordered a few days ago better damn well have free shipping.

::checks site::

Still says free shipping. But I will fucking kill them if they cancel the order due to this.
Who wants to bet CC changes their website to match BB's soon?
Doubt it. Now they are the only ones who have the free shipping on everything. It gives them a nice edge.

But I think Circuit City only changed to free shipping after Best Buy offered free shipping so now that Best Buy is charging for shipping again, maybe Circuit City will decide they can charge again too.

cc would be a bunch of fools to follow in BBs footsteps...while they could save money by charging for s&h just like BB now does, they'll have a whole crap load of new customers coming exclusively to them very soon...

After my last transaction with BB.com I doubt I would order from them again anyway. Two weeks turnaround time is too long to wait from a major retailer. Now CC on the other hand had my item to me in a few days. I prefer them over BB anyway.

I wonder how much free shipping swayed the average consumer?

Sigh, now I will be forced to make the trek to BB's B&M. That or just order from Deep Discount DVD like I used to.

you know, i honestly cant remember anything i ordered from best buy actully shipping anyways, so seriously im glad, because their website sucks and this means less people will shop there...goooooo best buy

Same here, but my last order from BB took 4 weeks to arrive. CC and EB have fast shipping. CC is free, but the EB Saver shipping option is also a good bargain.

I ordered Sudeki from them, and it supposedly shipped on the 24th of July. I still haven't gotten it, and those idiots are stumbling all over themselves trying to figure out what happened to it. They are going to credit my card for it (eventually), but I cancelled my pre-order of Fable. Perhaps now that shipping is no longer free they will actually start shipping things.

Just another reason not to give them any more of my money.

Yes, I'm still bitter from the whole Metal Arms fiasco.

Will definitely factor in my buying decisions, since it could potentially ruin a lot of deals. But even with shipping if something is still a good deal its a good deal regardless.
their (bestbuy) website sucks
yes it does navigating is horrid lets not talk about their search engine I will type in something and it will give me a buying guide I do not want a buying guide I just want a damn right answer.

Its disapointing that BB is getting rid of their free shipping. Anyone could be next. It would be horrible if newegg decided to no longer have free shipping on their products that normally do have free shipping.

It's especially horrible since a lot of the less mainstream dvd's, my bread and butter, are only available online, and not for in-store pick-up.

So on top of taxes now there is a shipping charge, yep don't think i'll be ordering from them again unless it is a deal I can't refuse.

Yeah, one of my preorders was for an anime that has that problem and never is instore on the release date. I will fucking kill someone if it doesn't ship on time because of free shipping. The other item was another anime, but it is popular, but they had it on sale for $16 so I figured I may as well.

Hahaha!! Good one. After hearing about these incidents in which people have been outrageously hassled over those stupid warranties, I think I'd find it perversely amusing if one of them latched onto me with that schtick. I'd probably be unable to hold a straight face and just grin stupidly at them in silence.

I've never understood how such a great store can have such a terrible website. If it weren't for the name, it wouldn't even seem like they were owned by the same company. That's been my experience with them at least.
you know, i honestly cant remember anything i ordered from best buy actully shipping anyways, so seriously im glad, because their website sucks and this means less people will shop there...goooooo best buy
Yeah, I've had enough of ordering a cheap game from them while it's "in stock" and then finding out my item is backordered later. Now that free shipping is gone, I won't bother to order online (but I don't think I would have anyways)

Suck!

I've ordered a couple things from Best Buy the past couple months (that actually shipped)

Metal Arms is the latest.

The only thing that would make this somewhat palatable is if they would ship things to the B&M stores for pick up for free. (And I doubt they are doing that, I'm sure it's still the same if the store happens to have it you can pick it up there system.)
How much is the shipping now?
I just added Counter-Strike to my cart and went to check out to test it out, and the Ground shipping rate is $1.99.

well...no more bb.com ordering for me.....unless it is a great deal.....they will start losing business soon. go circuit city!!!

looks like not only is it not free shipping, it's not even cheap like EB....shipping 2 games costs twice the shipping as one game, etc. That sucks....

A DVD I checked is $1.25.... so I think it varies.

yeah this blows, I've gotten some stuff from BB.com that they don't have in store and have always liked the free shiping. Sure it took like 5 busness days to get to me but I'm not the kind of person who needs my stuff the second I want it.
