no nascar 07 on 360

EA announced today there will be no 360 version of nascar 07 released this year I am really starting to feel like an ass for buying a 360 considering EA wants to charge 10-20 dollars more for an inferior game as far as depth, and then just not release one of the biggest franchises all together.
 
You based your decision to purchase a 360 soley based on what EA produces and charges?

What does EA charging 10-20 more for a inferior game have anything to do with buying a 360? I own around 17 360 games and 2 of them are from EA. If you bought this just for EA sports games, then I feel sorry for you.
 
I live in the redneck capital of the world and I, as well as maaaany other gamers around here, don't give a shit about Nascar games. That should tell you something.

that is why i got my first xbox system. I found Nascar 2005 at a pawn shop for 4.99 and thought "hell that is 35 bucks cheaper then the ps2 version might as well buy an xbox to play it"

i think i did pay 150 for the xbox, BUT i wanted nascar and was thinking im saving 35 bucks so that is like buying the Xbox for 115 : )

sadly i only had my xbox for 6 months before it broke : (
 
There have been many places that are saying EA will release Nascar 07 for 360 in Feb. close to the beginning of the actual season.

P.S. Nashville is hillbilly capital. Not redneck capital. Try anywhere in Arkansas or Alabama. They are much more redneck.
 
I didn't buy it solely for EA games, however I will admit they do make up a large number of games I buy. I just meant it's frustrating that i spent 400+ on a system that's been out for a few months, and a game that comes out for every system, isn't available. And if they are releasing it in feb that's great, they just made it sound like there will not be one available
 
I don't mind if they don't release '07 but for the love of god they need to send some people over to Microsoft to helpl program the backward compatability for '06 then.

I agree with the op.He's pist he bought a new system and a game thats released for all systems isnt released on a next gen system. All of you fanboys putting him down because he likes Ea sports games can go fuck yourselves. If they werent porting over a game you wanted really bad , lets say halo 3, for instance, to the 360 and that was the reason you bought the system you would be pissed.NUFF SAID ASSHOLES.

Plus, people have already told the OP the game will come out in Feb. so its not a big deal.
 
Hey idiots that don't like the game. Why are you even in this thread? Obviously the title says Nascar in it, so if you don't like racing get the hell out.

Like I said they are supposed to be developing one for 360 for release in early 2007. We can only pray. I need a Nascar game for 360 desperately.

Racing is my favorite genre so by your standards I get to stay in this thread. The reason people post in here who don't like the game is to provide common sense to a guy who bought a 360 for Nascar.
 
I never said i bought it for strictly for Nascar. It's just the fact that it's a fairly popular franchise and it is dissapointing that it is not making it's next gen debut this year considering the fact that no other Nascar game is backwards compatable. I am pretty sure that I am not the only person who bought a 360 mainly for what could be possible with sports games.

Loosen up the straps on your helmet buddy. You just can't make up your mind. Or you can't read. You say you don't care about the game. Okay, then you say that you love racing games. So therefore, either you like Nascar games and you meet the standards to stay, or you don't like them and you shouldn't bother posting.

Ummm, it is totally possible to LOVE racing games and not like Nascar games...by nature, Nascar's "driving around in circles" just doesn't translate well into a videogame, IMO.

Oh, and this is a PUBLIC forum...if you start a thread here, then you are INVITING discussion (positive or negative). So much for your career in modding.

So all racing games revolve around Nascar now? Nascar is (by far) not dominant in the racing genre. Graphically and gameplay-wise it has been in the back of the pack. Sure it's fun to watch on tv and I'm not going to rag on the tracks they race on, but as far as gaming, Nascar sucks. So yeah, it's legitimate to post in this thread if you think the game sucks, why you are wasting posts telling me and others to leave the thread is beyond me. Get a better racer (Burnout, PGR, Forza, MotoGP, Test Drive) and/or get over the fact that a shitty port won't be coming to the 360.

And must I remind you that I like racing games and the sport of Nascar? Take your advice and "loosen up the straps on your helmet buddy". Stop your bitching and quit dragging this even more off-topic. If you don't like different opinions, maybe this isn't the place for you?
 
You obviously don't like stock car racing. When most people think of racing they think either NASCAR, F1, or Indy. Oh yes, and I love racing, otherwise I wouldn't work on race cars and work at a race track.

Well it's nice to know how extremely biased you are on the topic, but the fact remains that when you ask people what the best racing game is, no one will say Nascar. By the time this game does come out for 360, there will be soooo many better racers available that you'd almost be laughed at for buying Nascar above the others.

The wait should be a fair trade off. Car of tomorrow, Toyota in the mix, and a different chase format (I believe that comes into play next year). There are going to be a number of changes next year to the series so it would be pretty cool to see EA put them into a game right off the bat.

Edit: I have yet to play any of the newer NASCAR racing games, but I have Simracing that I have been meaning to play. This thread has given me inspiration to try it out later and see how things go with the 360 controller. Hopefully I don't need a wheel to play it.
 
This sucks if it's true! I'm not a Nascar fan and never watch the races or anything but I had lots of fun playing the last couple years games on Xbox Live. It was only 4 live people and the rest computer controlled but it was still hella fun battling it out and making the guy in front crash on the last turn. I was hoping for more human controlled cars on the 360. Besides what's a better way to get rednecks to buy a 360 and a HDTV than giving then a dang perdy racin game right der?

NASCAR must be important to EA if they were greedy enoughto buy exclusivity(SP?) for it. That being said, I have yet to buy a game from the series. You should be glad they're taking they're time with it, before it ends up barebones like madden and LIVE are.
