Yeah, I think they make those with Japan in mind and then export them over to the U.S. since they already R&Ded them so it's free money.

To be honest, I don't see why you don't just get a $40 Sandisk Fuze and put in an 8GB microSD card to bring it up to 12GB. That should be enough.
Yeah that's exactly what i did.:D

Why is it impossible to get Best Buy to pick up their damn phone? I'm trying to track down an item instore, and they are of no help.

I went to Best Buy the other day to check out the Beatles demo and all they had was a microphone and piece of shit Stratocaster with 3 of the 5 fret buttons missing.

I felt a little guilty when him and that $$$$$$ Blink 182 dude nearly died in a fire.

Well I got a new TV just to find out that it's my PS3's HDMI that crapped out... Wow... I mean I'm really stunned. I tried a new HDMI cable just too be sure, too.

It's just as well I suppose because the old TV was, well, old, and now I can sell it as a 100% functional tv. But it's really frustrating to know that I went through all of that just to find out I need to go through it again, except with the PS3 instead of the TV.

Wow...
Snow Leopard should be up in a week or two, zewone. Everything I've read looks promising, they just need to update the kext files(I think those are like the OSX version of drivers) and installer a little.

I saw a Mini 10v for $219 - 15%. I think OSX installation on those is pretty good now. I wouldn't mind upgrading to a better keyboard and from 16GB to 160. I think I read the trackpad on those sucked dick, though. I need to look that up.
Sweet ass sweet. I just hope I can still get by with my 8GBs.
Is this size suitable for a really, really  PSP?

The 16 GB model is $37, but I don't wanna spend that much right now.
I do just fine with 4GBs. You're probably going to want to pay someone to  knowing you. Unless you get a really, really old firmware, then it's easy. I had someone do mine for $15.
Do they even make high (120gig+) capacity flash MP3 players?
Dont know about other players but based on Apple's products, no. They'll probably announce a 64GB Touch in a couple of weeks and that will be at least $400. So for them to make a 120gb player with flash memory, that's gonna cost probably double the price.

Thats why flash memory is so expensive right now, if you can wait for a couple of years the prices should be pretty reasonable.
Sweet ass sweet. No. 64GB is the most I've heard of and they're expensive as shit.

Excuse the crummy picture.
What do you guys think about the Zune?
Mad gay.

The software is worse than red, spiky hair. It doesn't support many video formats, and no matter what you throw at it, the super-shitty software will automatically reformat it for the Zune while it makes your computer sound like a rocket at take-off.

As a piece of hardware, it's better than a iPod classic.

I even like the squircle.

When comparing putting things on a Zune vs. putting them on a iPod using iTunes, the Zune is WAY slower than iTunes.
Most people here will tell you that they hate it. I have a 30GB (Brick) Zune since launch and it's still going strong. One of the best media players I've owned. I haven't had any problems with the software, everything is pretty much drag and drop, very simple setup/interface. I highly recommend it. If you plan on using it for video though, go for a Creative instead. Zune doesn't support a lot of formats outside of WMV.
This $$$$$$ is excited to pay $5 to dress up his LIVE avatar his opinion doesn't count.
Only WMV? That fucking blows.
Yep.
Does your component output still work? You should be fine if it does.
I'm not really sure because I don't have access to those cables without just going out and buying them. I guess I could give it a try tomorrow as I need to return these $35 HDMI cables to Radioshack anyways, I'll just switch them out for component. I had planned to take them back anyways, I just wanted to see if that was the problem.

If component works, I might still send in my PS3 just so I don't have a half broken PS3. I really do hate to give up the one I have now, though. I've grown accustom to it's face...

That's not a bad idea. My current player is 8GB and so far I've only used half.

I'm thinking about the Walkman S series. Seems pretty nice. Problem is I can only get it online. MP3 player selection at B&Ms sucks.

Thanks for the PSP input, zewone and Mojimbo.

And I can't believe I somehow have to wait until November for Modern Warfare 2. 8-(

Totally agreed.

Anyone know if Apple Stores monitor copies of software? Best Buy backordered mine for approximately two weeks, so I'm contemplating buying one tonight and returning my Best Buy copy to Apple.

I had a first gen Zune, and I really can't recommend it over the other options that are available. It wasn't bad, but the battery life was shit and it locked up way too much. I've heard the newer models are better however.

The Zune HD looks fucking great, but manwang has a passionate hatred for it.

Yeah, I busted out my receipt and I got it at the end of October last year, so I'm not worried about that. I would really rather not give up my Kojima Ltd. Edition. I just transferred all of my stuff over so that's no big deal, but I don't want to be out a PS3 for 2 weeks.

Because outside of the screen, it's got nothing on the Touch right now.

Plus who knows if the Zune software will be fixed to be less shit-tacular with the HD's release.

I know it's gay to copy and paste tweets but I loled at this from Brian Posehn:

"Just went to a one year old's birthday party. fucking boring. I was the only one doing coke."

The Fuze does kinda suck for playing videos. You have to sue this shitty conversion software sandisk puts out and it's buggy. When the conversion works the video plays well on the player itself, just the conversion that sucks.
I kinda wish I could find someone that would trade me an iPod Classic for my Touch, but then I would miss the Touches internet browser and stuff. Why can't Apple release a high capacity, hard drive Touch?
dick, i was offering a classic ipod video with complete accessories for sale or trade for like 3 months and no one took it. ended up selling it on CL for way less than it was worth.
CheapyD and Wombat on Stern? So weird.
All that complacent drabness in one place?

*the coldest chill ever*

Won't CheapyD's special education laugh and Wombat's frivolous begging get in way of Stern's excellence in broadcasting?

I've got to get my windows tinted. I'm tired of getting made fun of for my over exaggerated air drumming and belting out A Day to Remember tunes.

My new TV came in today. Took about an hour to set it up. It's huge compared to my old one. Too bad I really have nothing at the moment to take advantage of it.

I hate to ask, but what shitbox are you driving these days?

Mojimbo, not that I'm looking to purchase it or anything, but if you did decide to upgrade to a Mini 10v, would you get rid of your mini 9 for?

Temp, I'm still in my Suburban. It's on it's last legs, leaks oil all the time, check engine light is coming on, and it had an unfortunate accident with a pole at around 7 mph that kind of fucked up the rear bumper, making the back doors inaccessible. I doubt it will last till the end of the year without needing an expensive repair.

Just keep your hands on the steering wheel. I bet you play your music really, really loud for everyone else to hear as well, right?
