Nodus PSP sound System $50 at CC
At first I didn't care, but looking at the reviews, It was an official sony product and the big discount from 200 got me.

It's not a Sony product, but it is an officially licensed PSP accessory.
Hey, I was looking to get one of those NYKO Theater Experience cases. Can they still be found for $15?
It was clearanced at Game Rush. It's really not that great for viewing movies. The initial model has a constant low-level buzz from the speakers. You need a fully-charged PSP and a fully-charged Nyko to get through a movie; once the Nyko drops below a certain charge, the speakers won't power. For taking on trips, it's fine due to also being a hard case and battery charger, but if you want something for home use, the Nodus seems much better. The speakers-only Logitech system is $15 at CompUSA.

In the end, I went to CC to buy it, went to BB to pricematch with the reciept, thanks to a very helpful CSR, and returned to CC once again to return the original. My CC is less then a block from the BB so it was no problem for me. (15 dollars is alot to me...)

You didn't need to buy it at CC, especially if you knew they had it in stock. I used a printout from CC's website, BB customer service at my store was fine with that. I'm sure it helped that it was still in stock online at CC, but even if they called, I didn't sweat it b/c the local store still had it. In the future, you can save yourself the trip back and forth. In the meantime, enjoy the great music! :applause:

Finallly got mine today from BB, came back after dinner with the wife to get my 165 plus tax credit... 35 bucks is about the right price for this... certainly not 200

My best buy had 4 of these units. They were really dusty and looked like they had been there for a long time. Not surprising at $199...

A word of warning for those considering purchasing this via CC.com:

The product is sent without an external shipping container (via USPS), in other words, the mailing lables are place the the product box itself. Mine arrived today and the box was pretty beat-up. The product itself is fine though.

I wanted to play it safe, they were right next to each other, and I only saw one more on the shelf at CC. I didn't want to risk it. Thanks for the advice though, now that I know, I can tell them to call the CC if they wanna check.

Mine arrived today. I am pretty impressed with it, especially for the price. It looks very sleek, and the sound output is more than adequate for my needs. However, my PSP keeps shutting itself off at random moments while watching UMDs. Anyone else encountering this? I have a custom-firmwared PSP, but I've set my UMD speed to default. Do I need to do the same with the XMB speed? Could it be the "No UMD auto-start" setting? It doesn't seem to do it while listening to MP3s.

Well, just did the Bestbuy pricematch thing and it came out to $35 plus tax which is a bit confusing since %10 of 200 is 20 bucks, so should'nt if have been $30?

Oh well, whatever, it really does sound and look great. Thanks OP!

Is there anyway to turn the screen off? I really don't need the visuals on all the time when playing tunes.

Umm...yea, just hold the brightness button on the bottem of your PSP for about 1 second. Basic operation of the PSP if you ask me, but then again, I guess that I'm one of the few who actually read the manuals that come with things.
