Konjak put the awesome 2D game "NOITU LOVE 2: DEVOLUTION"out earlier this year, but its $20 price was a bit prohibitive. Well, as many CAG's know: patience is a virtue! The game has now dropped to $9.99, and is pretty much a must-buy for anyone who loves action games like Contra, Gunstar Heroes, etc.

There is a demo, so I recommend everyone at least check it out; and, if you like it, do the creator a favor and spend the $10.

Konjak's art has appeared in many 2D games, notably the recent Contra IV on Nintendo DS.

In any event, give 2D games the justice they deserve: go check NOITU LOVE 2 out RIGHT NOW!

Yeah that game is pretty neato. A little on the seizure inducing side but it's old school goodness. I bought it when Kotaku reported that it was $10.

I bought it when it first came out, I feel it was worth the 20$. Better or equal to most DS games of the sort and the unlockable characters/playstyles add some replayability.

10$ is good.

I must have missed that report, perhaps because I don't really bother with Kotaku ever since they posted an article as fact (from a CAG user blog, no less) although it was fake, simply b/c they didn't do any fact and/or source checking.

Regardless, the more exposure Noitu Love 2 gets, the better our chances are of getting more 2D goodness from Konjak!

but plays nothing like it.

He released a new Zelda-influenced (graphics-wise) 2D action demo within the past few days. It's rad, but understandably buggy at this point.

I played the demo through to the end.

I'm also entering my account information for PayPal.

The gameplay's pretty slick. WASD (or arrowkey, since I use Dvorak) driven controls with the mouse (LMB and RMB) used for attacks. The attacks come in various flavors, depending on if you hold the mouse button down, or if you're just clicking, or if there's mouse movement as well... It's fun!

...yeah, I played through a good portion of this and absolutely loved it; that is, until my character got stuck in a glitch and I had to CTRL+ALT+DEL out of the game...

In any event, if he releases a full version of this one, I'll be buying it, too.
