Nostromo N52 speedpad opinions?

Thinking of getting one of these for FPS games. I use my scroll wheel for changing weapons and its just painfully slow. Can't ever get used to the numbers since I always miss and hit the wrong one.

Wondering what you guys think of this for FPS games?

I used them while running 4 Star Wars Galaxies account at the same time. If you keep presseing the same key combo they can be a life saver. For a First person shooter I could see it being easier to switch between weapons and the like.

i used to use a speedpad, but im saving up to get that new custom key one

I have an N50 and used to use it in DAOC. Never used it in FPS, but for an MMORPG it was very helpful.
