Not a deal; GT5 CE pre order advice?

Hey sorry if this is out of line, but I also thought I may not be the only one scratching my head about this.
I just got an official email tonight announcing the 24th release date complete with a preorder buttons for CE [US retailers].

Given the fiasco of GT5's release date, and perhaps "limited quantities" I can't find a Canadian retailer selling the CE? am I missing anything?

I'll try to check in stores later this week. Think any new stock will show up?
Or I can buy from Amazon.com, for $123 shipped.. bonus is the stealth AMG.

Thoughts on this situation? Surely other CAGs are buying GT5.

The main reason why probably places like EB Games/Gamestops aren't taking any pre orders for the CE is because they hit there max on how many they can take, they don't want to pre-order too many and have sony short ship them and anger people who pre-ordered. We had 5 pre-orders for the CoD: Black Ops Hardended edition at my store, that activition were suppost to ship out but never did..had to deal with some pissed off customers about those..if you wanted to pre-order CE, then you had to do it months ago. Your best bet is to wait for any other CE that come later on after, or people who don't pick up there CE.
 
i was thinking about this CE but it's a bit too.... the book might be kinda cool, but i dont like cars 'that way', just like driving+racing+look of cars,plus i dont prefer that nissan

just snag one in person during release, there are no preorder bonuses are there?

now LBP2 CE, hopefully eb/gs isnt the only one selling it...
 
Right after reading this post...i headed down to my local EB games here in Montreal and asked specifically for a GT5 CE Preorder and the dude was happy enough to give me on!

have the receipt and all....

maybe he wasnt supposed to and i lucked out....! we'll see if i actually get it!
