Just after X-mas, I traded in bunch of non-POX games to get $12.50 each toward games from EA (Need for Speed, Goldeneye) and then returned the games for store credit.

EB also had a mail-in coupon from a little coupon book that offered a $20 voucher if you traded in 5 games. There was a stipulation that the voucher was not compatible with other deals. But I sent in some receipts anyway . . . only a stamp at risk.

The $20 voucher did arrive a month later.

In the latest promo (for PSP games), I decided to part with Super Monkey Ball 1 & 2. I got $26.66 in credit for them.

I was planning on buying Super Monkey Ball Deluxe for Xbox.

Today, I used my $20 voucher (and $10 in credit) to get a sealed copy of Deluxe and with their Spring Sale I can send in my receipt and get a $10 voucher for future use.

i still cant see how people dont think this is ripping off ebgames

i take 5 games in to trade in to get a new 49.99 game these games usually only fetch 2-3 bucks say. I then take the SEALED Game back to another EBgames for a 50 bucks since i never wanted the game i just wanted to rip off eb for the $$$.

I still cant figure why people think this is okay though your clearly ripping off the company cause your trade in games are only worth 15 tops and your trading for a game you KNOW for a FACT you will return to get 50 bucks.

THe games you traded are not worth 50 but your demanding 50 anyways

I don't necessarily condone it, but think of it like this. He traded in 5 games and got $50 in credit. Whether he uses it on one game or another, EB isn't really getting ripped off. Some may argue it on more of a moral standpoint though.

Something is worth only what someone is willing to pay. Do you really think EB is only going to get $15 for the games you traded in to them?
