not to brag or anything.... but....

I ended up picking up wipeout last night and gave it a spin. The game is pretty good. I don't feel it's as good as the reviews said though. Maybe it's just me, maybe on the really hard dififculties it's awesome but I found the first two difficulties slow.

I heard a few Walmarts out there "accidently" sold some PSPs and are gonna suffer the 2000 dollar fine per PSP now.
 
i'm really not trying to be a jackass here, but why is it cool to have psp games already? I mean, I was at 2 EBs today, and they each had the games out for sale. I could have bought some, but I don't see why I should when I can wait until Thursday (when I can actually PLAY them!) and get them somewhere cheaper. Like BB has those "buy 2 get a $10 GC" and buy 3 get a $20 GC" deals going, and FYE has that rebate deal coming up.

Now, if you already imported a Psp, then I can understand...but otherwise, why buy them now?
 
If you didnt reserve games, you can buy them now to make sure you can actually get them for launch . I reserved a bunch of games, but forgot about Dark Stalkers so i picked it up at a EB yesterday. During the DS launch a lot of games (not mario ds) sold out very qucikly and were hard to get for a few weeks

what if i went to EB and traded in 3 games i spent 7.50 on each and got that shit early and for cheap without any craptastic mail in rebate or me 20 bucks off 3 games.

try to avoid thread crapping in the future...

SHeesh. Take it easy buddy! I posed a question (and suggested some alternatives to save CAGs some money if they are willing to wait), and recieved a reasonable answer; I even conceded that the reply to my post was a good point. In fact, I may go back to EB to buy a game or two myself.

Thread crapping? seriously man, with all the bullshit flying around these boards these days, I could really do without a mod telling me not to thread crap when I make an innocent post. I'm not a thread crapper, and I've certainly seen FAR worse from others go uncondemned.
 
I think the cases are terribly designed. On a shelf with other DVDs and games, they will sit in a recess. The cases should have been designed to be just as wide as a regular case, but only half as tall. That way, while they would take the same amount of shelf width-space, you could stack them one atop the other. Or lay them on their backs and take up even less room.
 
Like Jake mentioned, it's a shame they didn't add in a slot to put a memory stick.

Heck, the N-Gage cases come with a separate, smaller case inside the regular case that fits up to six games, and there are two permanent slots to fit two more games. Seven games in one case is pretty handy. Oh shoot, there I go fanboying again. Sorry.

I think the idea was that they;d fit into the regular dvd storage cases, the recessed design making them stand out form the normal cases. Plus big boxes stand out on the game store shelf easier.
 
If anyone is wondering....... GO BUY WIPEOUT PURE! You won't regret it.

If you pick up: Ridge Racers, Wipeout, and any other game at launch that fits your prefrence (I picked up Twisted Metal and NBA :)) YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED.

Plus, if you have a 512mb-1 gig stick you dont need a slot for your memory sticks in the PSP cases :).

Also if anyone is looking for a nice case, I would recommend one of these:

Aero Case

Nice and sturdy, but also has little pouches for games, headphones, or a screen wipe. They also have a blue metallic colored one.

Had to use my crappy cell cam, but there you have it. 12 titles, only 2 repeats. Every game except for one was obtained by abusing the living hell out of the 3 for 1 deal. On one hand I'm exstatic to have all these games on the uber cheap, on the other hand, chances are I just helped sink my local EBGames
