I think these are those clearance games mentioned coming in the other TRU ad thread. These prices go into effect Thursday December 22.

EDIT 3:These prices should be good to go Thursday. I checked the other stores markdown lists in my area Saturday and all of them had the 9.98 games. I got a friend's scanner and posted a page from the markdown list. I hope this works.

I just looked at the games I got and Racing Gears Advance was resealed. It's not a huge deal I guess but there is a piece of scotch tape holding the shrinkwrap together!
 
There were at least 20 FF 1&2 gba at all 3 stores and taking 4 from each one isnt bad. Considering what I could have gotten in all, that list I posted aint shit compared to the damage I could have done.
 
Went this morning to the Frisco store, and picked up a couple games for my dad and a few for me:

Almost got Golden Sun: tLA, but I didn't want to blow too much money...that, and it doesn't look like it will disappear anytime soon. ;)

Went to the Lewisville store later, but they were picked clean...didn't bother, considering it's hard to tell if they have a game in stock with their glass case having all displays. :p

It can't hurt to ask. I snagged a copy of Pikmin 2 that I saw behind the counter, yet they had no display cases set out for it.

Its likely there may be copies in the glass case that's usually behind the registers. But other than that you're generally out of luck unless they're lazy and haven't stocked.

Interesting note, when I picked up Bust-a-Move DS on Monday, they had a shelf tag but no games (they were in the glass case). Now they have removed the shelf tag and just left the games in the glass case.
 
Just FYI. I was able to pick up Winning 11 8 for the Xbox, while it's only listed at 10 for the PS2. I don't know if the store screwed up or if it's just not on the main list from the OP.
 
In addition to buying RE4, Mr. Driller, Final Fantasy 1&2, Digital Devil Saga, and Pikmin 2 before the sale, I picked up Metal Slug 4/5 and Killer7 today as well. The N. Attleboro store was picked pretty clean, no RE4, no DDS, no Pirates. All they had that I could remember were MS4/5, Killer7, Final Fantasy 1&2, Doom3, Mr. Driller and, surprisingly, a bunch of copies of Pikmin 2.

For the record, I had no problems adjusting the price. At first, the girl told me they couldn't match their prices unless they were in the ad, so I'd have to return and rebuy. But, after messing with the register a little, she figured out that she could, so she did it. And all was well with the land.

Does anyone have an extra copy of Pirates I could buy, or maybe their store has extras? I left it last night thinking it wasn't compatible with xbox 360, and now I see in a thread in the xbox 360 section that it is indeed compatible. I would love a copy of this game. Thanks.

OMW to another TRU, but I got 2xNanostray(no bust a move :\), Darkstalkers and Doom 3. Hoping for GTA 2pack, pikmin 2 and mario party 4, but I'm happy with what I got either way.

OH, passed up Romance X, Pariah and FNr2, I just didn't think I'd play em. This was at the Everett, WA store and they had a table out. I think I got the last darkstalkers because the lady took all the display boxes down before she rang me up :)

My TRU had like 45 copies of DOS.. I bought one for myself and one for a christmas present, actually. And they still had about eight copies left.

Depends on the employee. Asking for them to check the case is easy enough since, if you're buying something else, they're going to be looking back there anyway. If not, go ahead and inquire. Most workers will be nice enough to look for you. If not, be nice and ask politely again. "Please?" works quite well, surprisingly enough!

Otherwise, after you exhaust that option, ask the clerk if they can check the back if the store isn't that busy. This one is harder to get them to do but if you're already purchasing items and you mention that you were hoping to get one as a surprise for wife/significant other/relative/close friend or something, you may be able to get them to check the back when they wouldn't do so otherwise.

The key is to be polite, appreciative (both before and after-the-fact, especially if they can't for some reason), and to thank them for their help. Being a good customer amongst a sea of irate people usually makes a world of difference.
 
Well I price adjusted 14 games (RE4, Killer 7, Doom 3, etc) and got 'em for $6.65 each.

Someone else picked up the last copy of Killer 7 and Psyconauts, there was a couple copies of Tekken 5 left.

Then I swung by the Mira Mesa store and bought:

DDS - last one
Killer 7 - several left
Conker - last one
Raze's Hell - last one

Off to Morena where i picked up a copy of RotK IX, and there were plenty left, but not much else there.

After that I hit IH5 and L st in Chula vista. Someone swung by there in the morning and purchased all 3 copies of DDS they had but I managed to find:
Rengoku - last one
Pikmin 2 - plenty left
Psychonauts - a stack left
Pirates! - several left

Finally I hit National City off of Highlands and found zilch, I bought Hunting Grounds because I felt bad after having the guy at the counter go back and forth to the stockroom looking for titles for me.

I didn't have a chance to hit Oceanside or the one in El Cajon so I'm not sure what's out there.

I'll check mine, but I believe they may not have any left. It's truly a great game. I'm thinking about offering up my DDS for a combo trade for Unreal and Conker. I'll pm you if I see one.

OK, to my credit, there were a couple of other people going through the games, and I asked if either of them were looking for that game before checking out. After that, they were fair game. I didn't buy that much over all, and since I'm pretty much playing the 360 games - there was nothing I wanted to play. So I'm not interested in trading, I just seriously need the money and couldn't pass this up. You can call it being an ass hole if it makes you feel better about not getting a copy of something you wanted, I'll call it capitalist economics and needing to buy my kids Christmas gifts...

Unless someone has a Condemned (360) they'd like to trade, then PM me and I'll pull a listing...

Both stores Gamecube sections' were pretty much destroyed.

I just called Dothan here from work... they didn't have shit according to the customer service rep. Did a hoarder hit this morning? I was looking for Conker, Unreal Championship, Super Monkeyball pack, Zelda, or the Sonic combo.

they had a buggy full of games...They had no Conker, Monkeyballm Zelda, nor Sonic... The guy was putting new price tags on them when I went in there. He said all he had was in the buggy. It was mainly Madden 2005 and Doom 3 for the XBOX. I got the only Halo LE, but they had more re4s left and DOA Ultimate...They have a lot of games, just not the good ones. I really wanted Pikmin and DDS, but they didnt have any. I think i was the first one in there for the sale, but he was still marking them as I left. If you want Madden or Doom they have tons!

I just got back from Toys R Us I picked up some of the games on the list but when I went to pay I was told there was no sale going on. He scanned the games and they were regular price.
 
I just braved a Bay Area storm to hit up the Capitol San Jose TRU. Picked up copies of Samurai Western and Pirates that I would LOVE to trade for Tekken 5 or Metal Slug 4/5 (PM me if interested). The South Bay stores are pretty picked over aside from some crappier titles and honestly, waiting in line for 20 mins while being run into by small infants is almost not worth the cheap games...I was THIS CLOSE to hitting a 7 year old in the face with a baton!! Good luck to those heading out late....
