I think these are those clearance games mentioned coming in the other TRU ad thread. These prices go into effect Thursday December 22.
EDIT:this is all I got. The new stuff is listed on the top. If anyone else at TRU has anything to add let me know.

EDIT 3:These prices should be good to go Thursday. I checked the other stores markdown lists in my area Saturday and all of them had the 9.98 games. I got a friend's scanner and posted a page from the markdown list. I hope this works.

I had a successful trip at the West Broad Columbus, OH location. I ran into 3 CAGs while I was there, but none of them were frequent posters. It was still nice to know that they saw the deal on here and that they weren't hording games.

In addition to getting the games that I had picked up earlier price adjusted (Digital Devil Saga, Mr. Driller, and Samurai Western) I was able to pick up the following:

I was able to just pricematch without having to go through that process.
 
Unfortunately, I won't have access to my car until later today, so I won't be dropping by TRU till later. Because of this, I'm over 99.99% certain that there will be NOTHING left from the sale. However, I did drop by Tuesday morning and managed to pick up 3 games from my own list (Killer 7, Resident Evil 4, Pikmin 2), so hopefully I can price adjust those and maybe find other $10 games there as well. Does anyone think they'll restock these games? I think I posted this earlier, but it's lost now in this thread.

Ah, finally, a fellow local CAG!

I hope you ended up getting a nice haul from the store. They had a fairly good stock earlier on in the week but I think what really helps is that their sales staff behind the desk (at least on the night that I went) was really exemplary.
 
To that guy that laughed at me when I said that i'd only sit in my car about 10 minutes (meaning i'd get there 10 minutes before they opened), I now laugh at you. Only one other person was in the parking lot, and he was coming for Halo 2 LE.

I helped a mom get the last Pikmin 2 for her kid and actually ran into CAG'er "noise850".. he also wanted Pikmin 2.. d'oh. But I recommended him Metal Slug Advance, and I would've bought MSA as well, but I have a DS and it messes up fairly badly on the DS. He picked up MSA, FF1&2 DOS, Golden Sun: TLA and Advance Wars 2, so I think he did fairly well.

As confirmed through other places, RE4 is indeed $9.98.

Other things that made me mad.. the XB version of Batman Begins and Psychonauts are not part of the sale. The PS2 versions are. The guy said they only got in one DDS ever. Maybe the PS2 version of BB isn't, another guy just mentioned that it wasn't.

Yes, they ring up the prices. The guy at my store forgot about the sale. I left my list with him.

For those in the Nashville area:

The Murfreesboro, TN store still had plenty of Psychonauts (PS2), Final Fantasy 1&2 DOS, and Golden Sun: TLA. There was also a ton of Doom 3 and a few Conkers left. No DDS, No Tekken 5, No Pikmin 2, No RE4, No Pirates.

PS2 version is $9.98. XB, sadly, is not.

I had fun, and unlike the last sale (the 90% off one), there was not a hoarder in sight.

I want to say a BIG BIG THANK YOU to all the CAGamers who have been contributing to this post. I have not picked up so many games on the same day before. This really makes my xmas.

Just to contribute a little somewhat....a few TRU in the NJ area are running a promotion for 50% off total purchase for buying a Dance Pad and any DDR games. I got the Intec arcade metal pad (hopefully it doesn' stink) and DDR Extreme 2 for a total of (100 + 40)/2 = $70 + tax, not bad of a deal at all...too bad I couldn't find DDR Extreme 1 for $10 (tried 3 TRUs this morning).

Personally, it's a bit of both. Some games you will easily find display boxes for, although they may be slightly hidden behind other titles due to lack of shelf space. Other times it's best to walk up and ask if they have a particular title in stock if you know that they have the box out on the floor. There are a handful of cases where they will have a title in the case behind them even though there's no display case on the floor itself.

And, if you're really lucky, sometimes a non-harried cashier will walk into the back to check to see if a copy of a game is there for you. This has a greater chance of occuring if the cashier isn't busy, you're polite, you're buying a few other items, etc., etc.

dang I am starting to think I should have taken the FIRST half of my day off, instead of working till 12:30 (they let us pick our 1/2 day "shopping day" around Christmas).

Oh well, I'll just get there around 1 and hope for the best. If anyone's already hit the Long Island locations, let me know how the situation looks!

Oh and a general question... do these prices show up as soon as the item is scanned, or is it like that other clearance where the new price won't show up until the cashier hits "TOTAL"? Ha ha I remember that moment of suspense before they hit the total button... it was the big moment of truth. But if it scans up right away this time that'll make things easier I guess.

Yeah, my friend was near a TRU last night so I had him go in and find out what games they had. He ended up knowing the guy there, so not only did he show him the list, but he let him stash the games he wanted in the back.

Looks like stuff coming back in-stock is coming up full price.. Wrestlemania 21, Pariah, Raze's Hell, and Conker all come up full price.

Well, after getting up way too early in the morning, I got FF1+2, Pikmin 2, and Psychonauts; there were some others, but these are the only ones I really wanted - except RE4, which they said they had sold out of a while ago. But they did mark the price so I know it *would* have been $10 if they had it...

I don't remember seeing 4 Swords at all.

Yeah, there isn't anything good at Media Play yet. Waiting for 50%.

Almost all price-adjusted games in the system are pulling up at $6.65, not 9.99!! If you bought games today, go back and have them price-adjusted. If you are going to go, buy your games, then go to customer service for immediate price adjustments. 6.65!!!!


Sorry if this was posted earlier, I just wanted to get it out there to you guys without taking the time to peruse the 200+ posts that have been made since I left the house.
 
My store was upside down (Queens, NY), but I stuck around, and after searching for 15 minutes, I did find Pikmin2, Fight Night Round 2, Viewtiful Joe 2, BloodRayne 2, and Dead or Alive Ultimate. I wanted Tekken 5, and Metal Slug 4/5, but they were out.

For any CAGs, there're plenty of Viewtiful Joe 2, and perhaps a few Pikmin 2 as well. You're better off, bringing a list to the counter than going throuhg the store. It was a mess at 8:30 in the morning, so imagine what it'd be like later today.

They also had bins of games (mostly 19.99 games) waiting for late shoppers to clear all their greatest hits games...I stayed away.

That's because Amazon.com/TRU.com still don't have it themselves anymore. If you look at those going back "in stock" they are being supplied by GameStop or Target now hence the price difference.
