I think these are those clearance games mentioned coming in the other TRU ad thread. These prices go into effect Thursday December 22.
EDIT:this is all I got. The new stuff is listed on the top. If anyone else at TRU has anything to add let me know.

EDIT 3:These prices should be good to go Thursday. I checked the other stores markdown lists in my area Saturday and all of them had the 9.98 games. I got a friend's scanner and posted a page from the markdown list. I hope this works.

EDIT 6:I found the master list which is essentially the green tag games merged with the 12/22 list. I did find some new games that will be part of the B&M sale on Monday but still no Psychonauts for Xbox.

Anyone in Eugene OR, the TRU was void of people at 10:30am. I was suprised I was the only one there. They had a bin full of games and about 4 employees were still pulling games and marking them down. No Digital Devil Sagas, but they had just about everything else. Apparently no one around here cares about the sale. I guess a couple fatwallet people came in right when they opened, but they must have been startled off by a noise or something before they could pillage the place, because they had a ton of good games left for all systems.

Sounds like the one here in Ohio that I went to around Noon, because I had to wait until the car came back to go out there. :roll:

I only got half as many games as I was hoping for. I was really looking forward to getting PS2 Psychonauts for $10. :bouncy: They had the box on the shelf, but it was tagged at $49.99. So, I asked a clerk for a price check. That, and DOA:Ultimate for Xbox. He said that Psychonauts for PS2 was $10, but Xbox was $50, and DOA:Ult. was $30. So, I got Psychonauts up to the counter with a couple games others from the list. Turns out I couldn't get ANY! They were ALL just boxes, and no games. The clerks didn't even bother to check behind the glass for 'em. :bomb:

Instead they pointed out a large white metal "waste basket/bin " full of assorted games. DS/GBA/PS1/PS2/GC/Xbox. They basically told me to "go fish".:hot:

So, I waded through the TONS of TriggerMan, Silent Hill 4s, Pokemon Channel to find about 3 others from the list. I looked through both bins, and didn't find any of the ones from the list that had boxes on shelves, but no games inside.
They were also giving away PS2/Xbox Star Wars mini-controllers with a purchase of a couple PS2/Xbox games. No go on them either. Man! I thought fraud/false advertising was against the law, but I guess TRU is exempt! :bomb:

Only got 1/3rd of what I was going after. There must've either been people lined up just waiting 'till they opened like people did with XBox360, or employees grabbed the ones they wanted before they dumped the games into the dumpster. At least that's what they treated it like. Not only those 2 offenses, but to further add insult to injury. The blasted security alarm kept going off when my friend, and I left after paying for what little we did find. We walked back and forth a couple times to see if that was just a fluke, and nope. Every single time we walked past the sensor. It'd go off. Odd thing is, everyone acted like it was just an annoyance. No security people asking to see our receipts, or nothing. Made us think of going back, and getting a couple more with the oldest discount in the book. 5 fingered kind. JUST to even out what they screwed us out of with their fake advertising, empty boxes, and "robot" clerks. :booty:

I'd never ACTUALLY steal, but I can think about it. Just like my Father always talks about bashing out someone's headlights for getting so close to his car that you couldn't even fit a dollar bill between the 2 bumpers. Yet, he NEVER does. :whistle2:#

This whole fiasco took about 1, or more hours cause it was 2 when I got back home. Don't think I'll be shopping there again, anytime soon. :roll:
 
needless to say i'm quite sad.

the only 'gem' i found was pikmin 2. I got like 2 extra copies to trade, and if that doesn't work out i'll probably return them (yeah i'm REALLY against ebay people and guys who buy 400 at a time for profit, yet i still feel guilty for picking up more than the one i needed).

Anyways, I really wanted RE4. That was the only game i actually wanted.

So let me know if you're willing to trade. Also I'm in SoCal, if that might make things more practically in some sense (chances are still low i know).

Of course I went in around 10:30, not knowing it was already open at 8. And stuff like DDS1 is more likely than not out of the picture.

There was only one there (RE4). The Murfreesboro store has a ton of FF 1+2, F-Zero GP and Golden Sun 2 as well. They're sold out of Pikmin 2.

I thought my post was rather clear. After you are done with your purchase of 9.99 games, run over to the CS desk, hand the rep. your receipt, and ask them to price adjust it.
 
Just came from Times Square TRU...at 2PM

Of the newer stuff, they have some PS2 Psychonauts left, Killer 7, Haunting Ground, Batman Begins.

Most of the GC games except RE4.

DS Only World Champ Poker was left. Hope this helps.

Anybody remember that asshole who bought out EVERY Circuit City in San Diego a couple years ago during the five dollar sale. Then posted a picture of the mountain of games on his table and declared he was selling on ebay. So basically, no one in San Diego could get in on the deal.

Good times.

Anyone still have that picture. That was classic.

A modest haul for myself.

Psychonauts, Metal Slug 4&5 for PS2

Def Jam 2 for Cube

Golden Sun 2 for GBA

Normally would have rung up at 140. Sold today for 40. There was no in-store indication that the sale was on whatsoever, the clerk who rang me up was shocked...and then grabbed Psychonauts and Metal Slug for himself.
 
some of you may want to call your local game crazy stores. on a whim i called mine and they were selling resident evil 4 for 20 bucks new but they were already sold out so some of the price drops may not just be at toys r us or stores are dropping prices in response to toys r us. its worth a call if you still want the games you didnt get.

Could you explain what exactly they're doing or why they're doing it? I'd rather not feel like a total idiot when I go to the service desk. How/Why are you getting an additional discount?
 
Went to a few TRU's... found nothing worth wasting $10 on.

Though, at the third TRU, I did manage to find a store that had both Bust A Move DS and Nanostray, so I got in on that 2 for 30 deal.
 
I went earlier...

Wonka and batman begins are for the games that include the movie ticekt ONLY. They had mismarked their Batman begins so I got that honered. The Wonka was a no go.

Also my Toys R Us had them all labeled with BRIGHTER orange labels declaring the 9.98 price..

RE4 was sold out. two days ago they had maybe 20-30 of them....

I picked up a few more games...

iw ill update my trade list soon..

Big props to all the gamers there (not sure it they were all CAGs) as no one was there to simply clean the place out.

Man, some people are just pricks*.

A guy next to me at the local TRU went up asking about RE4 cause apparently he couldn't find any, and the clerk grabs him one. As she brings it to him, I hear him ask "do you have any more?". I figured he was going to get one for his friend/brother/relative for xmas, so I pipe up "There's a bunch in that bin over there.". The guy tells the clerk he'll take the 4 remaining in the case and sends his buddy over to the bin to pick up the other 4. Guy left with like 9 RE4s.

*this guy is a prick if he picked them all up with intent to sell them/make a profit. If he was actually buying them as gifts or getting them for fellow CAGs here, then that's cool... but taking all available copies? He's lucky I had mine or I might've had to jump him in the parking lot.
 
Thank God I just got a mighty fine raise today... my credit card bills are now payable. Only blew $100 on this, but much more over the past few weeks. Damn year-end sales!
