I think these are those clearance games mentioned coming in the other TRU ad thread. These prices go into effect Thursday December 22.
EDIT:this is all I got. The new stuff is listed on the top. If anyone else at TRU has anything to add let me know.

EDIT 3:These prices should be good to go Thursday. I checked the other stores markdown lists in my area Saturday and all of them had the 9.98 games. I got a friend's scanner and posted a page from the markdown list. I hope this works.

EDIT 6:I found the master list which is essentially the green tag games merged with the 12/22 list. I did find some new games that will be part of the B&M sale on Monday but still no Psychonauts for Xbox.

I actually saw couple games like Virtual Quest, Project Snowblind, and Super Monkey Ball, possibly the combo one in the Toys "R" Us near here. But I did not bother to pick those up because not interested in it. I think they also have Bard's Tale, Geist, and some other stuffs. Other than those, most of the games are cleaned out for some odd reason, maybe make way for more games.
 
went today to look around and saw games that i dont think were there before.

They repackaged it with a soundtrack and a new UPC code that's $30, which hadn't dropped as of Wednesday. Some people have convinced their TRU guys to peel off the sticker and scan the original UPC code on the game, which does ring up for $10.

A few people, myself included, have found copies where the sticker was either already missing or applied incorrectly. I checked about 100 copies of this game before I found one without a sticker over the UPC. So you could check every copy you come across at TRU and hope for the best... Or, like lurknomore said, you could just pay the $14.88 at Walmart. I saw one in the clearance bin there recently.

My TRU has all of them on the ticket system, so there's no chance of finding a misplaced UPC sticker here.
 
just got back from TRU..it was around closing and the service was bad, but got Bard's Tale and FlatOut for xbox..some of the prices on the tickets were way off and needed for them to scan it..they had flatout at 54.99, but it was 9.99

Nah, that just means someone has to do ticket maintenance for ALL of the games. Which is probably impossible.
 
I'm sure, theoretically, given how dumb the security booth people are that work at my store, I could print up a ticket or two using the other SKN# and they wouldn't know the difference. But that is highly against my ways and not worth it, anyhow.

You'd have to look up the SKN because no TRU in my REGION ever recieved copies without the soundtrack. I made a couple calls and talked to some people I know from forever they didn't get the one without either, ever.
 
has anyone found fight night round 2 yet? i cant fins it anywhere..is the 9.99 price on the xbox of GC version..if anyone is willing to trade or sell an extra copy, let me know

I don't mind waiting, I just think it's silly that one version is $20 more than the other. Not even sure if the game is worth $15 to me. I may wait a few years and pick it up for $2-3 like I plan to do with most GC, Xbox, PS2 games once those systems die. Unless I really care about a game, I'll wait a decade to pick it up if it saves me some serious cash.
 
Picked up NGC Geist today. They had about 10 of them in the $10 Bin. Got home and cancelled my online order that was not supposed to ship until March.

Online prices vary from B&M prices on alot of things. And no, you can't buy online and price-match in-store, as far as I know.

I went to the TRU located at the Forum Shopping Center in north San Antonio this morning. I saw 20+ copies og GC Geist. I picked up a copy along with a GBA Final Fantasy 1 & 2 (one remaining when I left the store). I also saw a copy og GC F-Zero X that I was tempted to buy. but decided not to.

However, this sale is definitely YMMV. I asked the associate to scan Metal Gear Solid 3 and it rang up as $19.99. I would have liked to try MGS3 for $10.

The sale is definitely not YMMV...read the list again, the only version of Metal Gear Solid 3 thats 9.99 is the one that comes with the bonus dvd, not the regular version.

Negative on MGS3 being YMMV... it's the special edition with bonus DVD that's $9.98, not the version that's widely available.

Well, just out of boredom I paid a visit to my local TRU today and it would appear that they have restocked! :) They had a few games I want back in stock which I quickly picked up, but still no Tekken 5! =( So now I have 2 trading options, anyone out there who still has a Tekken 5 they want to trade for a (all xbox games) Halo 2 LE or a DOAU or Fatal Frame 2? Those 3 are the only good games they had that I could probably trade for, obviously these games are brand new as I would expect the Tekken 5 to be as well. :razz: Please PM me if you're interested! why is the bonus dvd version cheaper than the reg version..i ordered that bonus version online for 9.99 should arrive by next week
 
Because it is a bundle that they probably have a limited amount of that they want to get rid of. Just like the DDR Extreme bundle with the CD, which is even more limited because it wasn't available online for $10, and I have yet to see it in any TRU and I haven't heard any other CAG say they found it either

Who knows? Same reason why the Halo 2 limited edition is $10 and the regular one is $40! :)
 
I found two things I was looking for, Cold Winter(PG rebate) and Fight Night Rd 2(NGC) in Nashville for 9.98. Also I stumbled upon an Advance Port for NGC for 4.98. It probably isn't the same quality as the Nintendo player, but it will suffice and now I can enjoy my advance games in "full" glory.

My store has about 15 Advance Ports for that same price. They've been sitting for about a week. If only it worked with DS, I'd get one, but I don't have a GBA.
 
After 6 trips to my local TRU, still have not been able to find a copy of Dynasty Warriors 5, if a kind CAG here has an extra copy to spare, please help a fellow CAG out. Will buy or trade.
 
My local store has pretty much been cleaned out of titles on the shelf. Everything that still has the outdated tags (still listing full price) is still there

I was thinking about picking DBZ Budokai 3 LE, but I don't know if its worth it. Is Budokai 3 the DBZ game that comes with the dragon ball?

What do you mean? What the hell is half a dragon ball?
Anyways DBZ boudukai 3 is a realy good game. Whats in the LE version?
 
I think Strider refers to the packaging of the DBZ3 LE. It give an illusion of the dragonball sphere on the outside, but it is just half a plastic dome protruding out. The LE includes a "behind the scene" dvd and a 1" chibi figure of Broly.
