damn i went to the local ebgames for paper mario today, and they were sold out.... guess i have to order it online tonight.

I did the trade games in for Nba live and tiger woods...had extras lying around so i figured i would just go ahead and grab the 2 for gamecube...The first ebgames was alright , they just had to manually do it but the second store was insisting that there was no deal like that since it wasnt in the system:roll: ...so i showed them the ad and again they stated that just means that you can trade enough games in to get it for free:roll: so then i told them i just did this for the tiger woods game at another store and that they were wrong...

so then the other worker comes around with the shelf sign that actually states that it is 5 games that need to be traded in for the deal but he is pointing at the "some titles excluded" part saying that some of my games werent eligible...by this point i was getting annoyed since i knew they were and it said PO right on the little screen, but then i said Thanks for bringing that over cause there is the proof that im right since it states right there that i only need 5 games... simply unbelievable

sorry in advance for the poor sentence structure and any spelling errors...typing this quickly since i dont have much time:)
My brother just called me, and said the only way he was able to get Xmen Legends for Xbox was to get an Edge card, otherwise it would have still been 20$? What the hell is that about, makes no sense to me, I don't recall this on the flyers? He went ahead and got Legends, but had to get the card for it to be 10$. This really doesn't sound right.
my EB claimed that I had to buy a LIVE renewal to get it for $9.99.....

Anybody know offhand how much the following games get in trade at EB?

-Brothers in Arms Earned in Blood XBX
-Tiger Woods PGA 2006 XBX
-NBA Live 2006 XBX

Thanks!

I dunno but given how new they are you might want to unload them as soon as possible if your thinking about it. I mean they'e all fairly new so probably still get around $25-$30 which means after the extra 25% then you'd get around $90-95.

Yeah, that's exactly what I was thinking about doing. I just didn't want to make the trip just to find out that one of those games might only get $20 or something. Thanks for the quick response RedvsBlue!

Well I sent my friend to EB to get Xmen, FF:CC, and Metroid Prime PO for me since I was out of town. The first time he went, they said they had no idea about any sale, prices came up normal. So I told him to print out the flyer from the website and take it into the store. The noob at the store couldn't figure out how to adjust the prices, so I somehow wound up with Xmen and FF:CC for 24.98 and Metroid Pime for $3, entire transaction untaxed. Talk about weird.

Great, now he's gonna go try and trade them in, find out they don't get much for trade in and then come back pissed at me...

Re: Tiger Woods 2006

I went to 2 stores yesterday. Both typically let me do multiple trade X, get Y free deals. Neither store had the deal in the computer.

Ad reads: "Ask store associate for details."

At both stores, no store associate knew any details about this deal.

Let's tip our hats to EB for keeping their employees up to speed.

Completely related, ebgames.com still has under "trade-in offers" all of the deals that expired back on 10/1.

Could Jedi1979 please post the phone number and location of the store that had the trade 5 get Tiger Woods free sign posted. I was shot down at the Greenwood, IN store. The guy said he'd do the trade if I had proof another store was still doing the deal.

Went by my local EB yesterday and they were out of X-men and Doom 3. Well, they had an opened version of Doom 3 they were willing to sell as new, but since I was going to have to order X-men online anyway and DOOM had free ship, I decided to tell them to forget it.

Meanwhile, my wife called and said DOOM 3 arrived this afternoon -- about 2pm. I ordered free 3-day shipping last night at 6pm. How'd it get here so fast?

C'mon, surely someone has been able to do the NBA Live or Tiger Woods trade-in deals by now without manager override approval? Anyone?

Do you live right next to the distribution center?
um....were you trying to say something, Guessed?
I linked to the list to which you referred, making it (slightly) easier for people to "go look", as you suggested.

oops....sorry...links never show up with my norton running
the new trade in deals are finally online...go look:)

they even have the zelda deal on there...till 11-2-05
It's about time! Thanks for the heads up.

Now, I have a question - it says trade 5 and get $40 towards the purchase of NBA Live 06 for GC. Do they also give you the $10 extra credit like they did during the preorder deal, or do they just bump the games to $8 instead of $10 like for the PS2 version? If the latter, that sucks quite hard... I might try it out tonight and just do the PS2 version if so...

No idea. I'm in Charleston, SC. Even if I did, less than 24 hours is a record for me -- for any mail-order delivery.

for me they took my 5 games and gave me 8 each on it ...but i wanted the gamecube ones and i was sitting on these crappy games for awhile (i wish they would stay with that $5 extra for 5 games deal longer)

I was able to confirm this tonight as well.

The good news is that all the deals seem to be working now - and I went through quite a few of them trying to get a good one. The bad news is that NBA Live '06 for PSP is not part of the deal - the OP said it was, but it is not in the fine print online and does not work (I tried it). Tiger Woods for PSP, does, however, work just fine. As does the GC NBA Live '06 as in the quote above, but I passed since they only give you $8 per game (presumably the same for the PC version). I decided to go for Tiger Woods PSP... I was also able to switch a Zelda preorder I made several days ago for Fire Emblem. Overall a successful trip, though I did want NBA Live for PSP and I forgot to ask for a gift receipt on Tiger Woods so I could try to exchange it later. Oh well...

Right before me some kid with his mother traded in 3 PSP games, and I guess got the 25% bonus - got about $52 credit. He then turned around and used the credit and $98 cash on 3 new PSP games. I think EB (and EA since he bought 2 $50 EA sports games + Tony Hawk) made out pretty well on that deal :D. The Mom whipped out her AMEX and covered the $98. Man, my parents had neither the money nor the desire to shell out for stuff that easily when I was a kid :D. Maybe that's why I hang out here now...

Can anybody give a rough estimate for what I were to get if I traded-in Paper Mario 2, Metroid Prime 2, and Zelda Four Swords?

EDIT:
Also,

Is this just a month long deal or something?

Thanks,
Matthew

Midway and Bad Boys were PO as of Sept 23 and Sept 29, respectively. Don't know about the rest. We haven't had any reports of games going POX since the latest list was posted in the EB POX thread, though it is bound to happen sooner or later.

If you're doing one of the trade in deals, make sure you take a print out of the deal from EB's website. They tried to turn me down on the Tiger Woods deal and the print out saved me.

I'm missing the trade-in deals on the website. TW06, in particular.

I traded in my Xbox and 3 games earlier today and got $121 in credit. The three games were Halo 2, Madden '06, and Midway Arcade Treasures 3. Here were the prices:

- Xbox -- $75
- Madden '06 -- $25
- MAT 3 -- $8.75
- Halo 2 -- $12.50

I used Bad Boys today it is PO and I think MAT1 is still good too . . .

Anyhow, take em all in and have them scan them all and figure out what is POX or PO. Make two piles and then prioritize.

Hitman 2 for Xbox is still POX . . . also, they wouldn't take my game only copy of Taiko Drum Master . . . my extra one because I wanted 3 drums.
