now you never have to leave the house for exercise...Official Wii Sports thread!!

I have probably bowled 50 games in the last 24 hours. I'm actually a little sore.

Best launch game ever.
All I can say is, I love baseball.
Agreed. I find out of all the Wii Sports games, I am currently addicted to baseball. I find that I keep trying to go back and trying to get my skill level higher.

Tennis gets pretty hard in the later levels. I'm a level 600 player and they are matching me up with 900 level players. WTF? Why can't I level up evenly. Still, there are only a handful of moments in other games that is as satisfying as hitting a perfect top spinning backhand cross court at 90 MPH.

I bowled a 202 early today, my highest(about the time I hit the Pro-level)..then next my eight year old daughter bolwed a 220(shes already at pro level)..so far she has the highest and noone has even come close.

Bowling is #1 in my book, and I'll take Baseball 2nd..at first it was hard I kept losing 2-1..1-0..now I can hit at least 5 homers per game..I got the timing now.

I love tennis but I hate how you cant control where you character is, Boxing is a great stress relief..golf just sucks..

I just had a fun game of baseball. One noteworthy play was when the awesome Britney Spears Mii that Ant sent to me drove Blaine in for a score with a killer double, then lilboo ruined it by pop flying the ball up for an out to force a possession change before Britney could score...bastard!

Hooray for the search actaully finding the official thread. Boo for this not having any posts in over a year.

Anyway how many people reached pro level on tennis? I've only had the Wii for a week or two but I seem to have hit a wall right around a skill of 700. Seems really tough to climb to 1000. I won my first string of matches and quickly climbed to the 600s/700 but since then I've been losing and winning and sticking right in that range. Also sometimes I'll win and go down skill points while other times I'll lose and go up. Odd.

Anyway I'd rank the games:

1. Bowling
2. Tennis
3. Golf
4. Baseball (this is way way more fun once you download some celeb Miis via the Check Mii Out channel)
5. Boxing

As long as we're bumping, I've gotten pro at tennis, and consistently hover around 970 in bowling. Baseball keeps taunting me, however.

My ranking:
1. Bowling (so awesome with a large room to do a run-up)
2. Tennis
3. Baseball
4. Golf
5. Boxing

I'm Pro in tennis, though I think I'm hovering right around that 1000 point, so I've dipped below a couple times. I've never seemed to improve significantly or at least keep any sort of consistency at Bowling, so Pro will be tough to achieve there.

Rankings as follows:
1. Tennis
2. Bowling
3. Golf
4. Baseball
5. Boxing

Managed to crack 800 in Tennis last night somehow. Maybe I'll eventually claw my way to 1K.

I'm guessing most people put boxing at the bottom (myself included) because it's a PITA to fish out the nunchuck for that one odd game.

It's at the bottom for me because it's probably the game I'd be least likely to play by myself. And it requires energy.

In Tennis, my score is over 2k. With Bowling, I float between 1500-1850. I don't think any of the other ones are Pro level, but that's more because I don't play them. I especially hate boxing, as for some reason the punches never do what I want, so I always lose.

So you can actually go above 2K? Interesting.

And yeah I just flail around at boxing and hope I throw punches. I tried the final practice mode once (trainer holds up targets for you to hit) and was so horrible I exited out and switched to something new.

Boxing and Golf are the pits, IMO. I love Bowling and Tennis is my favorite. There's nothing more fun than going head to head with someone who is good at Tennis.

Yup. I don't see how people can actually get high in boxing unless I am just doing something terribly wrong. I thought it was my sensor bar when I first started boxing, but I do well in the other ones so I figured that couldn't be the reason.

I'd definitely like to know what the cap is for ratings. I think my tennis is just under 2200, so I'm guessing maybe it's 2250 or 2500, as I don't think there is much more room for the line to go heh.

I liked golf, but only if I'm going head to head with somebody. I don't really like playing it by myself. As for baseball, it's ok, but man do I get fooled when the pitcher throws a few slow pitches followed by a fast pitch or a few fast pitches followed by a slow pitch. Maybe I just don't play it enough to develop a good reaction time, but I'd rather keep playing bowling or tennis as I find them very enjoyable.

With Bowling, I wish it had more stat tracking, as I'd love to know how many games I've bowled and what my average is. It's also funny how streaky I am in it. When I'm hitting my line, I can string together a lot of great 260+ games, and then I can just as easily not hit it for a few games and be back down to the 190-210 range.

I'm pretty sure I've put well over 200 hours of gameplay into Wii Sports. If they made a Wii Sports 2 or just made an enhanced Wii Sports with stat tracking for all of the events, it'd be a day 1 purchase for me.

Wii Baseball is cool to play head to head. If you play with somebody that isn't into games you can basically self-handicap by only throwing medium speed fast balls.

Wow guys, boxing was the reason i was so excited about the Wii. I never figure many people will be interested in it though, overall as a sport its not as popular as some of the other games.

I went off the charts on boxing. I had made a thread here on how to get good, there are certain characters that seem to be at the same point level for everyone that made it that high, a boss almost. I will dig that thread up and take a shot of my rankings today to post, its off the charts....

The bad thing is now I am out of practice and when I jump into the game to show someone I get my butt handed to me, and my ranking is falling. You will still see where I had ranked though.

If you are having trouble check that one out, Wii boxing is great. I barely have played tennis or golf. Bowling is blast and the wife likes Baseball even though I am not a fan of it.

Won 3 in a row last night and went pro in Tennis. I guess it wasn't that tough after all but after winning my first 4 or 5 matches and hitting 700 it matched me against 1200 level opps and the game seemed impossible for a few matches.

My bowling game was way off last night.

So I'm on spring break and my dad is an avid golfer. We just played the golf game for about 2 hours and by the end he was really getting the hang of it. Probably one of the few times that he'll ever play a video game and it was a really good time.
