yeah the reviews seem to be upsetting but I suppose this is a good alternative if your looking to try some games out
 
Got one, like it. very impressive actually. I think the people having issues with it are forgetting to recalibrate for the different filter. Amazing for multiplayer games to spread the room out. Single player games sometimes it feels like I'm getting too close
 
The biggest problem with this is that it causes the Kinect to NEED to be at the very front edge of your entertainment center. Most people have a problem when they have the Kinect on top of their TV because with the Zoom on, it will give you an error of "cannot see floor" when trying to tune the tracking.

It's amazing how the viewing angle changes with this thing, as even if your Kinect is only six inches back from the edge of your entertainment center, sitting on top of a 50" TV (so roughly 3 feet above it), it will STILL see the edge of the cabinet. I swear, that thing can see almost straight down. I ended up moving my Kinect below the TV and it works much better. I don't love the set up, but it sure as hell beats clearing out my entire living room.
 
yeah, damn, this pisses me off. first, I have more than an ideal play space for Kinect, but of course, it never works right. Spent $40 on that damn TV top mounted thing by PDP (?) and have gotten used to it, hell it even looks bad ass. I figured getting this would give me just a little bit more edge, but no way am I moving the sensor below my TV..
